Friday night. Seated on entry. Decent cocktails, yummy chopped salad to split between two, and a spinach stuffed pizza. Service was good. Giordano's reliably dishes up the best stuffed pizza in a casual setting. I've been coming here (as well as other locations) for a long time, with no plans to stop. It' a Chicago classic. : ) read more

We were in town for a family gathering and this location was a few minutes from our hotel. We were here on a Friday night, and it was busy but we were seated immediately. We ordered the Meat and more meat stuffed deep dish pizza. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the table. The pizza was good, but I didn't think it was as great as we we had heard. The service was good in the beginning, but towards the end of our meal the waitress became very busy and we waited about 15 minutes before she came over to ask if we needed the check. Overall an average experience. read more

Giordano's - Classic buffalo style chicken wings - Pizza Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Got my order wrong yesterday, their chicken wings tasted old, after they got the toppings on my pizza wrong the guy had the audacity to charge me for a ranch before I left, then I felt rushed off my table when I finished eating, and to make it all worse they never put the ranch in my box or table so I got charged 1.35$ extra for nothing f this place what a disgrace to Giordano's franchise. read more

After a long flight and waiting FOREVER to get our rental car at the airport, we were happy to finally try some Chicago-style pizza in Chicago for the 1st time. We walked in and I immediately saw the desserts on display. Then I noticed the clever signs hanging around in the restaurant such as "Thou Shall Eat Pizza". Pretty cute. We were quickly greeted and brought to our table. Since we were starved, we ordered the Combination Platter (fried mozarella, zuccini and mushrooms). The mozarella and zuccini were good but the mushrooms...not so much. I would also advise not to order an appetizer as you should save the room for the pizza. Our small stuffed cheese pizza with ground beef, mushrooms and spinach arrived about 25 minutes later. The crust was buttery, not too chewey and a little crispy. The pizza oozed cheese but I would have liked it if they added more of the ingredients - they were a bit skimpy with the ground beef, mushrooms and pizza. Nonetheless, the pizza was delicious and filling. After the appetizer, I was only able to finish 1 slice. Between the 3 of us, we were still left with half a pizza. Our server was also one of the friendliest servers ever. read more

Well when in Chicago do what everyone does and try a deep dish pizza. This was my wife's first trip to the Windy City and we decided to stop in for lunch. As usual the place was packed but their service and the way they handle the crowd is amazing. We were seated and served in less time than quoted and that is always a plus. The pizza did not disappoint as a small was more than enough. Had a great experience and although we will probably try Ginos East next time I don't see them being any better. read more

This was my first time visiting this specific location and as a Chicagoan, I had high hopes. We're serious about our pizza. Nonetheless, my expectations were met. It didn't take long for us to be seated on a Saturday night, surprisingly. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The boneless bbq chicken wings and garlic bread was superb. Our deep dish pizza was delicious. I would definitely recommend this location. read more

My girlfriend brought me here & my first time trying it was wonderful. The place was crowded but we didn't even wait 10 minutes to be seated. The servers checked on our table frequently & were friendly. The garlic bread is fire as well as the boneless bbq chicken. The tomato sauce you dip the bread in tastes so authentic compared to typical marinara. & of course our pizza was amazing. I was smiling when it came to the table. We were full & extremely satisfied. read more

While I was in Chicago a couple of weeks ago for work I had to check off a bucket list item, deep dish pizza in Chicago. This was the second deep dish place I was able to go to for the week. So I went ahead and ordered the personal deep dish with bacon and sausage and a salad. Keep in mind for the deep dish it takes about 45 minutes to cook, so plan on staying a while. Believe me it is WELL worth it! The salad was amazing! It comes with a lemon vinaigrette that was so good. The greens were crisp and fresh as well. So when my pizza finally got to my table I was so happy! I was starving and I love pizza. I grabbed my first piece and the cheese stretched and and stretched and stretched, I finally had to just rip it off! I bit into the crispy buttery crust and got a bit of everything in the first bite! The sauce was perfect, and the cheese was so good. The sausage had a perfect italian sausage flavor and the bacon added such a good smokiness. But... my favorite part was the crust! It is just amazing! It is crispy and buttery and rich. If you are in town you gotta get some pizza here, you won't be disappointed!! read more

I was really looking forward to trying Giordano's pizza in Chicago and was really disappointed. I had both the deep dish and thin crust and both were below average. I was really hoping to be wowed and had waited a long time to try this place but was just not impressed at all. The thin crust was dry and nothing special and the deep dish was not much better. I've had some really great pizza in NYC and even in So Cal but unfortunately Giordano's is not one of them. I also wanted to try Lou Malnati's but the family was afraid it would be as bad, so we passed. read more

Giordano's - Super veggie - Pizza Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

The Girodano's brand speaks for itself. It's by far our family favorite pizza...hands down. Sadly, this Giordano's has the worst customer service I have experienced. And I have dined at many Giordano's across the city, including other areas of the country. This evening, my party of 5 stopped in at about 8:30 PM. Although there were a few booths available and plenty of seating, we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated at one of the empty booths I spotted when we entered. Our primary server was below average at best. I needed to remind her to bring the giardiniera 2x for the Italian beef we ordered. 10 minutes after the first request, I reminded her and she admitted she had forgotten. The soft drink refills took a long time as well. On one occasion, we had to walk over to the front counter to order our refill. This should have been a signal to the front counter staff that something was certainly wrong. And when our pizza finally arrived, another server was horrible at serving our thin crust pizza. Perhaps she didn't appreciate me asking her if she could take away the appetizer platters at her convenience prior to placing the pizza on the table. She made it a point to inform me that she first needed to place the pizza on the table. I responded to that foolish comment by stating that I understand there's a process when setting entrée or pizza down and taking away the empty platters once your hands are free. After she completely ruined the slices she served on my plate, she had the audacity to laugh about it. When I told her I didn't think it was funny, her response was, "I'm laughing because I'm a knuckle head." I can't recall the last time I tipped below 15%. Perhaps back in the mid 1980's when 10% - 15% was the norm for a high school student. Today my tip was below 15%. I should have tipped 10%. My suggestion if you are craving Giordano's, run away and avoid this location at all cost. Never again will I step foot in this restaurant. Good riddance! read more

I had a two hour layover in Chicago and somehow this place ended up on my Instagram feed (they're watching us you guys! Lol) so I thought, "I'm gonna get a pizza on my layover!" I walked from midway airport, took about 15 minutes and picked up my pizza I ordered like 4 days in advance lol. The pizza was great! I made my own small deep dish and I definitely loved how they layered the ingredients so every single bite was full of everything you ordered. Great pizza! Can't wait to come back. read more

My friend and I were staying at a hotel near by and we ended up coming here twice in 2 days because we loved it so much! The deep dish is a classic go to if you come here. However, I finally decided to try their pasta dishes and I was blown away! I loved everything I had and Giordano's remains my favorite pizzeria! I love the downtown rush location the best, but this place also had its own strengths. It was always way less crowded and we got seated immediately. The wait staff was amazing each time we went and I never felt rushed. Overall, I would highly recommend. read more

I was desperate. My flight was delayed, and I was coming to Chicago with the express purpose of satisfying my deep dish craving. The places I'd hand-selected closed at 11 and 11:30, and it was almost 11:20 by the time I got my rental car. I was thinking dark thoughts of starvation. As I headed south from MDW, something caught my eye. It was a flashing light-up sign that clearly said "PIZZERIA" beneath. The place was open. My needs were fulfilled. I was at Giordano's. Disclaimer: I'm from NJ. My expertise is NY-style pizza. But here's what Giordano's offers: * Their pizza is unquestionably the thickest around. It was harder to eat their small than it was to eat other places' mediums. * A lot of toppings, some of which you won't find most places * Very nice beer selection. It's a bit pricey here, and the sauce is barely on the plus side of average. That's about all I can say against them. They're open past midnight, critical for the late-night delayed traveler, and for a local chain (about 2 dozen restaurants total) the quality is as good as I can hope for. Very friendly, attentive service. They changed the channel at the bar for me so I could watch Sportscenter. If I were stranded in the middle of a desolate Chicago neighborhood, I would absolutely flee to the nearest Giordano's for salvation if that were my best information. Heck, if I fly into MDW again, I would very likely come right back here. It's a bit more money than other places, but you get more than a bit more pizza. read more

7-17-21 Best pizza I ever had! Can't wait to go back just for pizza!!! Ordered bbq chicken pizza and meat lovers. So Good!

super disappointed, when we arrived there was no one in the restaurant, some tables arrived after us and had their food before, I asked to speak with the manager and I try to solve but I don't think it was the best way, we decided to cancel and it took a long time To charge for drinks that, to be honest with the bad service they gave us, deserve nothing but the worst recommendation, my first and last visit to this place is sad. I was staying at the hotel next door and we wanted to get some rep dish before we left. Everyone told us about Giordano's so we called and wanted to call ahead so we could have a pizza ready at 450pm. We have a little one and didn't want to wait around we know their pizzas take a while to cook. The lady I talked to wouldn't allow that. I asked and she said they are not at all busy. So then I told her I would place a to go order. I asked her what was on the kids menu because I couldn't find it online but she told me they don't tell people what's on the kids menu over the phone but couldn't explain why. So we hung up and went to Lou Malnati's next door instead. I'm sure their pizza is great but this location was rude so I suggest to skip it. read more

A little on the fence on Giordano compared to Lou's. Giordano is definitely more cheesier than Lou's, which I love, but the crust is a little bit too pastry flaky-like to me, which I don't. One piece was enough to get me full. On the plus side, you can order a pizza to-go, half baked! Cool. For some reason, it tasted a lot better when I had it at home than at the actual restaurant... hmmm.. I will definitely have to give this Chicago-style pizzeria another go when I'm back. First- shout out to Melany, our server. She was super sweet, made sure we knew how long the pizza was going to take to make (& gave us ongoing updates as to it's progress). Being from Joisy, we weren't sure how we'd like Chicago deep-dish style pizza. And if Giordano's is any indication- we liked it, a lot! As other Yelp'ers have mentioned, it is quite filling. We ordered just a small sized deep-dish for two adults and had half left over (great leftover too, btw!). Ordering apps or dessert would have been unthinkable! We went on a Saturday night and had no trouble getting a spot in the lot and no wait for a table. Easy to find, for a tourist, just a stone's throw from Midway. The best pizza pie in Chicago! I came here for the first time and will most certainly be back. Giordano's was recommended to me from a friend and he was not wrong! We sat at the bar and Debbie took care of us. She was friendly and very helpful. I ordered one of the pies, it takes 45 minutes once you order it, but it's well worth the wait. That's what a pitcher of beer is for anyway, right? My friend ordered a thin crust and loved his as well. read more

Apparently they don't pay for pest control. We saw roaches while sitting at our table waiting for our pizza. When we complained to our waiter he brought the owner over to speak with us. "Louie" was an arrogant, cranky old man who didn't apologize for the creepy crawlies instead he tried to convince us that every place is like this. REALLY! He refused to comp us our soda pop, so we paid for our pitchers of pop and left. DISGUSTING! I'm sure they have rats as large as dogs in back. Food was good...service really sucked. We arrived at 7:15pm and told it was an hour wait but we could pre-order our pizza since it takes about an hour to cook. We were seated at 8:10...ordered appetizers and drinks...pizza came out at 8:30...at 9pm the server brought us the check and said they would be closing soon. I had checked their website and saw that they close at 10, so I just figured the guy was ahead of the game. At 9:24 the server rudely informed us that they were shutting down for the night and that we had to wrap it up and leave. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE! I ordered a pizza on-line. Before I ordered, the website predicted 90 to 100 minutes. After I ordered, I got an email predicting 110 to 120 minutes. Absolutely perfect! It's been a few years since I stopped in which was a mistake on my end. Friday evening my squad and I stopped in for a feast consisting of calamari, parmesan garlic fries, wings, thin crust pizza (half pepperoni/half sausage), and a deep dish pizza (half pepperoni/half sausage). Everything was perfect. The pizza was obviously fantastic which I already knew, but the apps are what really surprised me and set the foundation for the main course. Those wings were perfection, the calamari was top notch, and the fries were a favorite. In terms of pizza, the thin crust was much better than I recall. Everything about it was on point. The deep dish was lights out as usually and in the midst of consuming all of the other deliciousness, I was somehow able to scarf down two hefty slices of the pepperoni deep dish which was the finishing touch on 5 star meal. read more
