Good restaurant good food I love the pizza I got to say they make a really good double cheeseburger double cheeseburger is very good and delicious. The food is delicious and so is the rest of the menu but if you're a burger, kind of person. I would recommend you to hit these spot. It's a really good place very small. They don't have a lot of space to eat for dine in preferable to order over the phone and pick up service is OK. Some of the people in there do not speak English. Looking for a replacement delivery Pizza option, the first few times we tried Conte's Pizza on 8512 S. Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL, the pizza and cheese sticks were all really very good. However After about three to four orders, delivered, things went downhill fairly quickly. And on top of that if you order on Grubhub.com and other delivery menu online sites, for some reason the food will not be as good as when ordered directly from the restaurant. But, Pray-tell, How do I know?! Ok, So, well, After seeing a few reviews online that complain about food not tasting the same as when ordered directly over the phone, (so yes, I really wish I had read the Yelp reviews which have been far more detailed and accurate, btw, about this problem before ordering)- I received a coupon offer and decided to try the online menu system. A mistake, by the way. The first time was a complete fail, but the coupon softened the blow and then something happened -- I recieved an even better coupon, so I decided to try something else (Pizza) from my first Gh order which was vegan padThai (rice noodles with tofu- I ordered mild as usual but they arrived very very unpleasantly spicy-). As it seems like, when you order directly over the phone, the restaurants are much more concerned about their reputation so the food is better, but otherwise they seem unconcerned about the liability factor such as loss of business, etc.. with the second try, with coupon, btw- While the Food arrived on time, unfortunately it (again) arrived strangely very spicy, and this time I ordered Pizza* on Grubhub (as in from a Pizza Restaurant, so really just ???!!**??) -this had not happened before with Pizza, so really not sure where to go with that one. It was weirdly spicy Pizza.. Who does that?! Obviously/But, the overall quality of the different food items were not the same (as good) as when previously purchased in person or through direct phone orders.. AND again, the Order arrived late and with missing items. I think the problem with (any third-party) online ordering hubs is that they are kind of the online version of the type of service/or lack there of that people complain about in many drive through window service of fast food restaurants (the orders are always wrong, and they almost always forget something) - But, at-least you can get it corrected in a few minutes as you're still in the parking lot when you check your items-- Ordering online they don't pay attention to the details of your order for some reason, and it's another process as Grubhub may tell you to call the restaurant to see it they'll correct the order- And if any refund is due the restaurant will tell you to call Grubhub since you ordered on their website-- I think in the end it was more hassle than convenience, and just not worth it, since I do get better results when calling a restaurant over the phone directly for delivery or even to pickup. At the end of the day, the only thing I really look for with meal delivery is delicious-consistency. If it tastes as good as when dining in or picking-up, there's no problem, but the food we ordered using the Grubhub site was just not the same as our normal delivery through direct order. It didn't look the same, it didn't taste the same/as good, and after tipping the driver, once I added up the value of the forgotten items, it seemed like I lost money instead of saving even with the coupon. So, yes I am looking for a new deluxe-cheeselovers Pizza place (insert gagging at Conte's) and also a new vegan-Padthai Restaurant (insert SUPER annoyed at chitung) . And like I have said in other reviews specific to Grubhub (Yes I blame You GH) - I don't think we'll be actively using Grubhub (or any other online third-party-order-service) again. Don't Order From Here! My order was placed through grub hub. 30 minutes after my estimated delivery time, I called. The man who answered the phone clearly lacked customer service skills. There was no greeting whatsoever, just a hold on. When he finally gets back on the phone, he tells me they never got the order. Okay, fine. I called grub hub, they then speak to the restaurant and say my order will be delivered in 30 minutes. 30 minutes goes by, still no order. I call grub hub again, they tell me the restaurant accepted the order and they would call again. Grub hub could not get anyone on the phone. The order was never delivered! read more

My daughter caved and brought a pizza home. I had a few pieces and found out it was from Contes. Well I was a bit angry that she got it from there but it did taste good. I've had Conte's many times, they sell pizza by the slice and are very good. One of my favorites in the neighborhood. They have decrt fries and have a variety for their menu. They do have parking in the back, I know, it looks kinda crowded but there is room. read more

You know Ive never had this places pizza however I have had there burger and fries. It was really good. They make it fresh for you right there takes about maybe 5 minutes but its worth it. This place has a small store front with a small amount of seating inside. Id call your order in ahead of time and just pick it up, because once you walk in it can be very cramped feeling. Especially when you get more then yourself in there. walking sideways and maneuvering around people to get out can be a hassle. BUT the food is worth it! have and will continue to recommend this place. Also note they do have delivery available for a 2.00 charge. read more

Just when I was liking this place. I placed an order 2 hours ago, I called twice to verify what the hold up was, they advised me twice that it was on its way to wait 10 more minutes. Now I get a call from Grubhub that they never put the order through and it has been canceled. They told the representative that they called me to tell me the order was cancelled which is a bunch of crap. Why wouldn't they then place the order directly. Whenever we order pizza, this is the place we get it from! It is always delicious. I've also had their grilled chicken burger and woah does it fill you up. We have been customers for over 5 years. Call me a critic, but I wasn't a fan of Conte's. I came in for a slice and left disappointed. My friend who lives in Scottsdale suggested it since he knows how much I enjoy pizza. Considering it's on what I call "Pizza Road" (the area of Pulaski between 79th and 87th), I expected it to compete with places like Vito and Nick's or Waldo Cooney's. Simply put, it didn't. I left disappointed and I really can't see myself returning. I give this place two stars because the service was friendly. I can't give an opinion on the rest of the food, so please know the entire review is based on their slices. Maybe one day I'll try them again, but for now, it doesn't seem likely. read more

I ordered a pizza and wings for delivery while entertaining guests. I ordered an extra large pizza. First, the food took so long for to arrive and the delivery guy barely got out of his car to give us the food (I've never had a delivery driver not just bring the piZza to the door and ring the bell). Then, my order isn't even correct! I had this huge pizza box with chicken in it but I had a much smaller pizza than I asked for! The chef is never stingy with putting cheese on it and the specials they offer makes it quite affordable. This is a restaraunt that I have gone to quite frequently and have enjoyed many times over the years. It has been my go to spot especially being close to home. HOWEVER this Easter Sunday I chose to not cook for a change and enjoy some sweet lil ole Conte's pizza and a nice glass of red wine. I got home, sat down, had a few slices, and was enjoying my wine. I decided to have one more slice and put the rest up. I look down at a piece that I had taken a bite of, and wondered what this strange "seasoning" was that was pertruding from underneath the cheese. I took my fork and lifted the cheese and I will be DAMNED if it was a full grown nasty ass freaking ROACH!!!!!!! After spitting the bitten piece out and throwing up in my mouth, I called back to the restaurant and was met with poor customer service and the statement "we don't have roaches". Well .... Apparently u do Hun because one of your boys made it to my pizza and got baked on in. The young lady on the phone instructed me to bring the pizza back per my I inconvenience, and I could receive my hot $13.50 back. After returning to Conte's with the roach pizza in hand, DOA ON ARRIVAL, and showing it to her, I was met with her own disgust and an explanation that she would show it to her manager. I left with my coins never ever to return. Conte's customers BEWARE. Such a disappointment for a place that I used to enjoy. I will be making pizza at home from now on.
