Front of staff t shirt for sale $25
    Michelle A.

I have heard about Billy Goat Tavern based on Saturday Night live skit and cheese borger, cheese borger, no cheeps. I noticed this when we arrived and luckily its by our departure gate and we were hungry. I ordered a single cheese borger, and I ate only top bun. The patty is thin and the pickles were awesome. My son ordered the double with fries and cheese sauce. The guy working was nice. I also bought a Billy Goat Tavern t shirt for $25.00. The ones the staff are wearing. Cheeseborger, Cheeseborger, Cheeseborger.

For good eats at an airport, just follow the flight crews. As I walked by Billy Goat Tavern, the scent of grilling burgers tempted me to get in line. Ahead of me were some pilots, flight attendants, a plane maintenance employee still in his neon vest and a few others. People passing by were asking the crew if this was a good place to eat; they all responded with a resounding "yes". My double cheeseburger (pickles, onions, ketchup & mayo on request) and side of fries were spot on. And hot. I almost burned my mouth on the fries--just how I like them. All this for only $10 and change. If lettuce & tomato had been available, my burger would have been perfect.

Flat top burger works for airport food. The bun could be higher quality. The service was fast and efficient. The walk up counter worked well in this situation.

The smashed burgers here were very juicy and flavorful! My only negative comment was there were no lettuce or tomatoes. It was just a straight up cheeseburger. There were raw sliced onions, raw chopped onions, dill pickles, and pickled relish, but no lettuce tomatoes. The fries were just ok, not very crispy. I normally like having some fresh veggies on my burger to balance out the fat content. While I enjoyed the burger, it was a bit greasy and heavy for me. It was delicious though, but I couldn't eat the whole thing.

So bad that I want my money back. Seasoned yet tasteless and so dry you could choke. Save yourself the headache.

Good service, good food, better prices then other food in airport. This place is really a good hole in the wall Chicago style food in the airport.

Came here during my layover back in November. I ordered the Italian beef with peppers and cheese. It was decent nothing crazy but solid for airport food.

One of my go-to spots when I'm in Chicago and need a final meal before hopping on my flight. The food is consistent and the guys working are quick.

I wasn't expecting much from airport food but was pleaseantly surprised here. Nothing to go crazy about but it was good. I'd go back. Ordered the Chicago Style Italian Beef with both peppers. Meat was a little on the bland side but the flavor it did have was good. And no chewy pieces. Peppers were fresh and spicy. My biggest complaint would be that they didn't drain the peppers so it made the bun a soggy. If you catch yourself in the Chicago airport, there aren't many good options and this is probably your best bet.

The food here is also surprisingly good for an airport. I had the Italian beef sandwich and it was flavorful and the spicy peppers were good. Also super super greasy though and the bag broke. Definitely a shareable sandwich but really great.

Live cockroaches are on tables and floor. It's overrated and management doesn't want to clean the place up. Surprised why ppl even go there.

With a cozy locals vibe, there was a mix of young professionals on laptops and families starting the morning. The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. I got the horchata latte, which tasted even better than I hoped. I also ordered a El Chavo Torta, a deceptively simple sandwich that was incredibly delicious. I don't know what they put in the bread or what magical place they bought the cheese from, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. When I'm in Chicago again, La Malinche is on my list of must visit spots.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

We got the pancakes, which come with a citrus butter and fresh berries. The pancakes were some of the best I've had, and the butter added a refreshing orange flavor that paired really well with them. The salmon sandwich was also great. The bread they make in house is delicious. Eggs in Purgatory, steak and eggs, and the American breakfast were also ordered. The tomatoes in the Eggs in Purgatory tasted very fresh. The steak was great, though a little salty, but the meal was very flavorful overall. And those potatoes?!! So good. The venue also has an art gallery, which was a nice surprise and a great way to walk around and enjoy some art while visiting. Overall, a great experience with good food, atmosphere, and service.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.

Service Issues:The service was inattentive throughout the meal, and concerns were not adequately addressed when brought to the staff's attention. Food Quality Issues:The food and cleanliness were equally disappointing. I requested extra crispy bacon in my omelet, but the bacon was undercooked and appeared raw. Both coffee cups also arrived dirty, with dried coffee residue inside, raising concerns about cleanliness and attention to detail. Closing Takeaway:Adding to the frustration, gratuity was automatically included despite the poor service.
