I was on the city for the first time, running the Chicago marathon. I was in the mood for a burger, and came across Burger Bar. It has dive bar vibes, but was clean and friendly. I have food allergies and the waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with my choosing something I could eat. One big thing I loved, as someone who is a pickle lover, I LOVED that my burger had a good amount of pickles and they were large spears. I've never seen a burger do this, and it was delicious. If I'm ever back in the city, I will certainly be back here.

I mean, it's in the name. Burger bar, had to come here and try a couple of burgers. They're pretty solid in size, definitely a mouthful. The fries are done well also, can't go wrong with a neighbor hood burger joint. They offer other items such as wings, ribs, and salad. I mostly stopped by for the burger and to catch the game.

Very very solid burgers! If you're feeling a loaded burger cooked how you want.. go here. We were starving so eating this put us in heaven. Everything about the burger was good that as I write this review makes me want to order one haha The bar itself is a pretty nice size but they do get busy with how good they are so be mindful of that before going. But go!

Walked right to this place as soon as I checked in. I was desperately craving a juicy burger. This time I decide to go for the Wild Bill burger ever which was a juicy bison, patty stacked with tomato chutney, and delicious goat cheese. This burger has a slight sweetness to it, which wasn't bad. Love the Berger and would definitely have it again. This time of course I added fries which were absolutely delicious. Best burger in town (and possibly the best in the West Coast/Midwest combined)

Food excellent, Service spectacular and Ambiance I loved the super cool chill Vibe. I was celebrating my 64th Birthday and I didn't want to dress up so I didn't. All I wanted was to hang out with my family. 5 strong

Why is this not ranked higher??? 10/10 burger. Loved the Pastrami Reuben Stacker special for the month of March. Life changed. The deep fried pickles??? World class. Addison was fantastic. Great energy. Highly recommend this place! Beer selection was great too.

April Spring burger of the month

Great service and plenty of space when there's not an event going on at soldier field or peak time. Well prepared food and tasty. The fried pickles were good. I tried the April Spring burger of the month. It was really great and tasty with the apricot marmalade jam topping. Overall I would try another burger here someday. Great place to watch some sports on the TVs while enjoying a good meal.

    Gluten Free Chicken Burger

I had never tried a chicken burger before, but it was absolutely delicious! I even gave the gluten-free bun a shot, and it did not disappoint--despite my usual skepticism. My mom was equally impressed with her hamburger; she said the quality of the meat was phenomenal. The service was excellent, and there was plenty of seating without feeling overcrowded.

Great food and convenient location downtown close To grant park and millennium Park . They had a. Good open area. Service was pretty good they seated us after waiting for some time to prepare our table for a group with An advanced reservation. There is no need to reserve a table in advance but it doesn't hurt. They have a good selection of burger and also other types of food including appetizers and dessert. If you love pickles you have to try the deep fried pickles and I also recommend getting the side of truffle fries. Portions are reasonable. It's a good size. I usually have leftovers with a smaller tummy which they have sustainable to go boxes for. They do charge for to go containers and utensils which I think is a plus for sustainability. I tried the bbq crispy chicken burger , it was pretty good. Be aware that there are two types of chicken burgers so make sure to order the specific one :) I'd definitely come back to try their regular burgers and shakes when I'm more hungry!

The ambiance was amazing - they had a fireplace going and had Italian music playing and Christmas decorations up. It was such a cozy, homey vibe. Our service was quick and efficient, and the food was out of this world! We ordered everything to share and they gave us plenty of share plates and even portioned out our salad for us. We ordered the calamari appetizer, which was crispy, light, and delicious. We also shared a family-sized caesar salad. I really appreciated the homemade croutons - amazing! Oh, not to mention, they give you warm bread to dip in a homemade marinara sauce for the table when you arrive! For entrees, we shared the mushroom rissoto which was flavorful and rich, the pasta carbonara which was again rich and delicious, and the stuffed shells. Everything was incredible! For dessert, we shared a piece of Tiramisu and the canoli. Chef's kiss all around! Upstairs they have space for private parties. Looked super intimate and classy. That's where the restrooms are located, too. They have an elevator for access.

From the very start, I could tell that they're understaffed - the chef/owner is the only guy taking orders. He's nice, but he's got way too many tables and forgot some of our requests. The pizza and garlic parm wings were really good, but those BBQ wings were definitely the star of the show for me. Im like whats in that sauce? crack?? Damn!!! Wasn't too busy as there wasn't a prominent sports event going on at the moment but still had adequate staff and patrons. Our bartender was cool, no complaints about the service whatsoever. They did not have physical menus, had QR codes. I like how they put the cook time for their pizzas, definitely a good heads up as I was hungry NOW and ain't have time to wait so I didn't order. Their menu is pretty extensive, lots of options. I ordered the Rum Punch (7.9/10), which was not bad at all, just which the bartender mixed it a little more but other than that not a bad cocktail. For the entrees, we order the Italian Beef Combo with Fries + additional Giardiniera peppers, Onions, Marinara sauce and also the Catfish Dinner. For the Italian Beef Combo, I can give it an adequate 8.0/10 rating. The Italian Sausage was charred well, Beef was cooked to good consistency, would just wish they used a different bread as it did have an after taste from being toasted I assume. Fries were pretty good though. Overall, this place was not bad at all. They had a bunch of games going so we were able to chill at the bar, enjoy a bite, and have a chill ending to our night. Pricing isn't the worst I have seen, especially in the city of Chicago, but I would look at menu before hand online. Just heads up, if wanting to split, they can split check but not by item (apparently they have to get manager to do so). Also shout out to the one worker, checked to make sure our car wasn't outside so it ain't get towed (wasn't our car btw). I like when service goes above and beyond like that to look out for the people they have. I would come back if I wanted to catch a game or event with some people.

Silly, fun, and soooo tasty! We started with their Saturday special: a $20 bucket of 5 Polish beers. (Or you could get American beers.) To let everyone taste them all, we asked for glasses, which they brought frosty-chilled. The Tyskie Gronie is a golden color lager with a light hoppy flavor. The Warka Classic is more coppery in color, a little bready or malty, with some light herbal lemony flavors, with a drier finish. Okocim "O.K. Beer" is a pilsner, a bit floral and sweet, crisp, and lightly but sharply hoppy. These were great frefreshing pizza beers. They also had a wide range of beers from crafts to midwest standards. We also showed them the recipe for Orange Crush, invented in Ocean City, and Maryland's Official State Drink since Jun 2025. Hey, they've got a shandy on their menu, so we can order our fsvorite summer drink if we want during Chicago "false spring" heat wave this week :-) We shared appetizers of calamari and pierogis. The $17.50 calamari was tender and hot, lightly coated with crisp flakey salt and pepper crust, with spicy marinara for dipping and lemon to brighten the flavors. We cut the tender seared $13 pierogis to share the thinly wrapped potatoes & cheese, meat, and sauerkraut & mushroom, with sides and servings of homemade bacon-specked sauerkraut, sour cream, and applesauce. We would have ordered more of the peirogis, to have more than a few halves per person, but there was pizza work to do! Flo & Santos is (are?) serious with their tavern-style pizza! The crust is terrifically thin, like Italian piada bread, cooked crispy crunchy like a cracker, and cut into squares for sharing :-) Of course covered with all kinds of creative toppings, and red marinara sauce, or garlic cream white sauce, or no-sauce! We got the heart-shaped Valentines Feb 13-15 special with thin-cut pepperoni, lightly spicy and cutely relaxed about the exact shape :-). We added Nama's Veggie pizza, generously covered in tender sweet spinach, fresh tomato, bitey diced onion, chunks of sweet juicy green pepper, and a scattering of black olives and mushrooms for umami flavoring. Quite a marvelous collection of flavors. And we went a little wild with Marco's Italian Beef pizza! Don't shy away. They didn't imitate that classic Chicago sandwich. Instead, they lay that savory thin-sliced beef over tomato marinara pizza-sauce, then add a flsvorful zingy hot giardiniera, and make it even richer with fire-roasted tomatoes and caramelized onion. I think we got the $29 14-inch size of each pizza, plenty of deliciously-topped crunchy pizza for our group of six adults and three children, with some wonderful leftovers to take home :-) For a special dessert, they offered a super-cute whipped-cream-decorated heart-shaped strawberry $6.50 gelato with a chocolate-covered strawberry. When we saw the one, we shared several more around the table. A lovely refreshing finish. loved the food and drink, and the friendly attentive staff. We showed up without a reservation at 4:20pm on a Saturday, and with little waiting, they assembled a table for our group of nine. As we left two hours later, they were setting up a table for 20! We found street-parking pretty easily nearby for one car, and most of us arrived about two blocks away at the Roosevelt stop on the Orange, Green, and Red "L" lines. Come get your excellent Tavern-style thin-crust pizza!

I had been wanting to try Industry Ales when it opened and was glad to have had the opportunity to finally check it out! I was slightly thrown off, as the dining tables are at the front of this space, and the bar is all the way at the back. In fact, my friend at first glance thought it was a sit-down dining establishment sans bar seating. We found our way to the bar and posted up at two seats. We were offered menus right away and found the bartender extremely knowledgeable. This was super helpful when facing down an encyclopedia of ales. He offered samples when we explained what we were looking for. That is service above and beyond, especially on a bustling Friday early evening. The brews were tasty, but I couldn't really discern what I was drinking apart to say it was a lighter Belgian Ale. Wine is more in my wheelhouse, but always good to change things up, especially when a person has the opportunity to be guided by an expert. The people seated nearby had ordered the tuna tartare which looked delicious.
