Excellent service from Kennedy! She gave us great recommendations and was very attentive and kind. Really cool sports bar! Very spacious and lots of seating options. Fun and relaxed atmosphere. The food is delicious! The award winning chili is so good! The brisket in it is perfect. I wasn't in the mood for alcohol or caffeine but luckily they had juice options too and I loved the peach nectar they offer. I also really enjoyed the Parmesan truffle fries. When it's warm outside, they open the big windows and it's so lovely. My boyfriend really enjoyed his burger. They offer brunch on the weekends and different happy hour options Monday thru Thursday. I look forward to returning and trying more things.

I was on the city for the first time, running the Chicago marathon. I was in the mood for a burger, and came across Burger Bar. It has dive bar vibes, but was clean and friendly. I have food allergies and the waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with my choosing something I could eat. One big thing I loved, as someone who is a pickle lover, I LOVED that my burger had a good amount of pickles and they were large spears. I've never seen a burger do this, and it was delicious. If I'm ever back in the city, I will certainly be back here.

    Roasted Garlic Wings

Came here for dinner on a weeknight, no wait to sit down and server was very knowledgeable about allergies (I can't have gluten). Ordered the garlic wings, which were solid, and the bison burger on a gf bun with fries. The burger came out so undercooked (barely browned on the outside, completely raw on the inside). The server noticed when he walked up and promptly said he'd bring it back to the kitchen to cook properly since it was clearly "rare". Brought it back not even 5 minutes later, which is not long enough to cook a burger... we didn't eat it, and when the server came back he said "oh I'm just so glad we were able to rectify the error, and I hope you will come back another time, the kitchen is usually great on the first try" which was weird vibes based on a completely uneaten burger on our tray lol. Fries and wings were solid, but probably won't be coming back.

I mean, it's in the name. Burger bar, had to come here and try a couple of burgers. They're pretty solid in size, definitely a mouthful. The fries are done well also, can't go wrong with a neighbor hood burger joint. They offer other items such as wings, ribs, and salad. I mostly stopped by for the burger and to catch the game.

Very very solid burgers! If you're feeling a loaded burger cooked how you want.. go here. We were starving so eating this put us in heaven. Everything about the burger was good that as I write this review makes me want to order one haha The bar itself is a pretty nice size but they do get busy with how good they are so be mindful of that before going. But go!

Walked right to this place as soon as I checked in. I was desperately craving a juicy burger. This time I decide to go for the Wild Bill burger ever which was a juicy bison, patty stacked with tomato chutney, and delicious goat cheese. This burger has a slight sweetness to it, which wasn't bad. Love the Berger and would definitely have it again. This time of course I added fries which were absolutely delicious. Best burger in town (and possibly the best in the West Coast/Midwest combined)

Amazing burgers and great service. Came right before closing and they were wonderful. Server Kevin was wonderful.

April Spring burger of the month

Great service and plenty of space when there's not an event going on at soldier field or peak time. Well prepared food and tasty. The fried pickles were good. I tried the April Spring burger of the month. It was really great and tasty with the apricot marmalade jam topping. Overall I would try another burger here someday. Great place to watch some sports on the TVs while enjoying a good meal.

    Gluten Free Chicken Burger

I had never tried a chicken burger before, but it was absolutely delicious! I even gave the gluten-free bun a shot, and it did not disappoint--despite my usual skepticism. My mom was equally impressed with her hamburger; she said the quality of the meat was phenomenal. The service was excellent, and there was plenty of seating without feeling overcrowded.

Great food and convenient location downtown close To grant park and millennium Park . They had a. Good open area. Service was pretty good they seated us after waiting for some time to prepare our table for a group with An advanced reservation. There is no need to reserve a table in advance but it doesn't hurt. They have a good selection of burger and also other types of food including appetizers and dessert. If you love pickles you have to try the deep fried pickles and I also recommend getting the side of truffle fries. Portions are reasonable. It's a good size. I usually have leftovers with a smaller tummy which they have sustainable to go boxes for. They do charge for to go containers and utensils which I think is a plus for sustainability. I tried the bbq crispy chicken burger , it was pretty good. Be aware that there are two types of chicken burgers so make sure to order the specific one :) I'd definitely come back to try their regular burgers and shakes when I'm more hungry!

Came by and it was almost a full house but we were lucky enough to catch 3 seats at the bar. Guy behind the bar was cool as hell and took good care of us the whole time we were there. TVs were all in the right places to watch more games which was awesome! We shared a couple orders of BBQ and garlic parmesean wings as well as a large tin crust pepperoni and sausage pizza. The pizza and garlic parm wings were really good, but those BBQ wings were definitely the star of the show for me. Im like whats in that sauce? crack?? Damn!!! Wasn't too busy as there wasn't a prominent sports event going on at the moment but still had adequate staff and patrons. Our bartender was cool, no complaints about the service whatsoever. They did not have physical menus, had QR codes. I like how they put the cook time for their pizzas, definitely a good heads up as I was hungry NOW and ain't have time to wait so I didn't order. Their menu is pretty extensive, lots of options. I ordered the Rum Punch (7.9/10), which was not bad at all, just which the bartender mixed it a little more but other than that not a bad cocktail. For the entrees, we order the Italian Beef Combo with Fries + additional Giardiniera peppers, Onions, Marinara sauce and also the Catfish Dinner. For the Italian Beef Combo, I can give it an adequate 8.0/10 rating. The Italian Sausage was charred well, Beef was cooked to good consistency, would just wish they used a different bread as it did have an after taste from being toasted I assume. Fries were pretty good though. Overall, this place was not bad at all. They had a bunch of games going so we were able to chill at the bar, enjoy a bite, and have a chill ending to our night. Pricing isn't the worst I have seen, especially in the city of Chicago, but I would look at menu before hand online. Just heads up, if wanting to split, they can split check but not by item (apparently they have to get manager to do so). Also shout out to the one worker, checked to make sure our car wasn't outside so it ain't get towed (wasn't our car btw). I like when service goes above and beyond like that to look out for the people they have. I would come back if I wanted to catch a game or event with some people.

Aside from a small service blip where our server delivered the drinks very quickly and then disappeared for a long time without taking our order, everything else went well. The onion rings may very well be house made but I'm not in love with the dipping sauces. The BBQ sauce tastes like Kraft with a shot of hot sauce and the Thousand Island is Thousand Island. The rings themselves are good. The pizza is fine. We got sausage and artichoke and while the amount of artichoke was good there was a paucity of sausage. What sausage there was was very enjoyable but too many pieces of pizza had no sausage at all. That's a problem I've encountered at more than one Chicago pizza place and it only seems to happen with sausage. I don't get it. All in all, not bad.

To start, the space appears to be a traditional Chicago tavern with loud-ish music and a combination of booths and tables. It was a Sunday night and not too busy but the server was a little slow getting to us but was pleasant and reasonably knowledgable about the menu. The beer and drink selections were solid. We started with the pierogi platter and the cheddar waffle fries. The Pierogi were pretty standard, pan crisped, and served on top of sauerkraut with two sauces. They were somewhat flavorless and we we couldn't really tell the mushroom and sauerkraut from the meat at first glance after cutting into them. The cheddar waffle fries were smothered in what appeared to be a béchamel based cheddar sauce which was grainy and not well seasoned. The fries themselves weren't salted at all. Given that nearly all the topping was within the middle 1/2 of the plate, this left many fries being somewhat flavorless. The topping of bacon and green onions helped give it a much needed boost of flavor but we couldn't quite overcome the bland sauce (instead of shredded cheddar) over the fries. We then had the Marco's thin crust tavern style pizza. The cheese was mostly in the middle of the pizza and laid on thick while the edge pieces lacked topping and cheese. The topping were decent but unremarkable. The crust unfortunately fell completely flat. It was thin, which was nice, but it tasted like a Saltine cracker more than pizza crust. I know many people love Flo and Santos for their pizza but we were unimpressed by this outing. The pizza didn't really improve being reheated or even cold the next day per my family. Overall, we were very disappointed by our trip there and given the cost of going out these days I doubt we'll be back.

Being 100% Chinese, I admit I'm spoiled when it comes to fish so I highly recommend the mahi here. Accompanied by a fresh cold rosé makes this afternoon brunch a treat! Amazing that fun isn't always beers and chugging. The food is actually good and can be talked about in reviews because some people actually come here to eat, which tells you how they actually have a kitchen. Believe everything is good here but we came for the beers of course. It's certainly the main product made here so why wouldn't it be important. They make more than you can believe which is impressive because there's all kinds of crowds who pass through. For sure everyone wants beer. It's $6 a pint at happy hour. Pretty great for craft beers compared to lots of places it seems. Best one we got was the Bucket Hat. This is a Belgian style witbier. Has notes of bubble gum, coriander, and orange. The food isn't an afterthought so get some of that. It's about $18 for a burger. Vegans have options. Certainly one of these is the Veggie Burger. This is an amazing thing with a spinach patty topped with chipotle tomato marmalade, cremini mushrooms, mixed greens, pickled red onions, and sweet potatoes. All on a fluffy ciabatta bun. The rest of the menu contains meaty stuff. For sure it feels like a place for the hipsters but it's pretty great for anyone.
