We arrived around 2pm when more pizzas were coming out of the oven, available as slices. My wife had the cheese-only slices, and I had one sausage and one pepperoni. In spite of the wedge-cut slices this is definitely Chicago-style thin-crust; whole pizzas are square-cut at Cipriani's. Our slices were cooked just right and delicious. The cheese and sauce were very good. I liked the sausage; it had a slight sweetness to it. We will remember this place when we're on our way to or from Midway Airport. Counter service was very friendly and quick. We got our food and drinks immediately. Restaurant decor is minimal. There was plenty of bench seating at 2pm, but I could see this place filling up around lunchtime or dinner. They have their own parking lot in front. read more

First time having a Chicago pizza. Andrew helped us with selecting the proper slices. We had the thin crust pepperoni and sausage deep dish (stuffed). There was so much delicious cheese, and the bread was nice and mildly crispy with the taste of butter. It was so good that we had to get seconds (at the risk of missing our flight out of Midway-- we came here during our layover)! Very disappointed. Sunday 8/16/26 ordered Mostaccioli with marinara sauce. There was 3 tablespoons of sauce on top of the pasta plus a small amount of sauce on the side. Food was luke warm was always hot when delivered and the bread was not cut. Used to be one of my favorites for food no more. About a month ago stopped in for a large garden salad hardly any lettuce and container not even half full. Was very disappointed after the salad but tried again now I am really done. read more

Went in and there was nobody in there but we were told half an hour. Several people came in after we sat down and paid. A couple even came in and paid and ate before we were even told 5 more minutes which turned into 20 minutes. I had to STARE at somebody to even get acknowledgment. We waited over an hour and when handed our 2 pizzas, the girl said "here you go" and walked away. No apology or anything. Solid pizza joint that does a ton of to go business. We had a long layover, so we hopped in an Uber and came over here based on reviews. It was less than a ten min drive from the airport. We got an antipasta salad that had a good amount of meats and cheese with cucumbers, tomatoes, and carrots. The pizza came out cooked all the way thru with a crispy crust. The sauce on top was very fresh. The only thing I wish was that the pepponi had a bit more flavor. If you like a pizza in its simplest form, with fresh ingredients, this is the place to come. The place is small inside with about 5 tables, but most of their business appeared to be to go orders. They also have pizza by the slice. The staff was very friendly and let us hang out and occupy a table for a couple of hours. I definitely would come back here if in Chicago. Prices are much cheaper than the airport, so if you have the time, call in an order and head over. Don't let the small unassuming place from the outside fool you. Trash pizza along with trash customer service!! They tell my wife pick up your pizza and mozzarella sticks in 30 mins. So we wait watching time since we live less than 1/4 mile away! When my wife went in she picked up the food and was somewhat taken back by the pizza box being room temp. Now we are from Hawaii and the boxes here are a lot thicker than what were used to. So she thinks it must be hot on the inside. Nope! Like I said we live less than 1/4 mile away and by the time we got home and opened for eating the cheese sticks were a solid mass of cheese like string cheese. Only had a sorry attempt of a small kine piece of foil "covering" them to keep them warm. Failed!! The pizza was giant piece of cheese stuck to each other. When you'd pull one box the cheese from the rest would come with since it had already hardened enough from be cold. Now the best part. My wife calls them to let them know our experience we just had since we were just there not more then 7 mins ago and the first lady to answer the phone didn't know what to say so she handed it off to the owner and he begins to tell my wife that we were late picking up when they told us 30 mins. We were even there sooner then the full 30. My wife then tells him you told us to wait 30 mins and he then had nothing to say but " what you want me to do about it?!" How about fix your mistake for one!? Offer another one if we bring back this one. I dunno something besides some rude condescending comment! We also learned they leave the pizzas out and set them on top of the over so they're not being kept hot once done! He began to tell her that there's no way its not hot and that it should be too hot to eat still and keeping on the over makes it hotter!!! Wow!!! Just wow!! So if you're into rude owners that dont care if you're happy with their service or products then by all means order away. However, if you do then I would Def avoid this place and go elsewhere!!! Even if its for tacos instead! All this aside after reheating the pizza in the oven we still werent impressed by them and probably still wouldn't order from them again! They were absolutely fantastic. This is an older establishment and it's more of a take out spot than a dine in. They have a handful of tables though. Customer service was great. The location is near midway and has a small dining area with a handful of seats. It also appeared they offered delivery. Had a connecting flight from Midway International Airport and our flight got delayed for a few hours. What better way to make the best of the situation and seek out what Chicago is most known for -- Deep Dish Pizzzzza! I found Cipriani's Pizza on a quick Yelp search and the group and I decided it would be a good choice since it's located about a couple miles away from the airport. This joint is a small family owned business which I appreciate but the staff who were running the front of the house were simply rude and uninviting. I will note that they were not rude to patrons coming in and out to pick up pizza, and that could be because they were locals or regulars. I guess we gave off that 'out-of-town-er' energy because we were met with very mediocre hospitality. We ordered two Deep Dish Pizzas (one cheese and one of their specials), one thin crust sausage pizza, two large salads, and six sodas for $80.00 -- which is not too bad of a tab. The pizzas took about 45 minutes to make which could be an issue if you're walking in hangry after a full day of traveling. The pizza sauce was definitely a hit but the crust on both the thin crust and deep dish just didn't do it for me. I don't know if this was the "Chicago Deep Dish Pizza Experience" but I will share I was not too impressed. Note to owners: ask the ladies in the front to be a bit more warm and helpful. So when I experience service that sets a place apart from the norm, I want to highlight that experience. Visiting Chicago for a few days, I stopped at Cipriani's Pizza to try authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza. As I had never ordered this style of pizza, I relied on the lady at the counter to guide me. She was helpful and friendly. Gave me an estimate on time to expect my order and thanked me. When I returned for pick-up, the pizza wasn't quite ready so I sat and waited. When my order was complete, they called my name, handed over my order, and EVERYONE behind the counter--the lady who helped me before, the cook, the owner, a other lady--EVERYONE smiled and thanked me. Not fake, not obligatory, but completely genuine. THIS is the single most important thing, in my opinion as a business owner, is to make the customer know that they're appreciated. Named after an owner's Grandmother, Cipriani's reflects the craft learned from Giordano's, where the owner couple had worked. But it is better than Giordano's because the ingrediants are fresher and the owners remain very hands on in the business (both were there when I was). The house salad is very classic--iceburg lettuce, radishes, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, pepperoncini, sliced turkey, sliced cheese, and house-made dressing. The pizza is savory, deep, decadent rich, and thick--almost lasagna like! The crust is crispy and flakey. Really delicious. They take their time and really make a great product. There's no shortage of available toppings, all super fresh. Only downsides here are the long wait-times. Why we never tried Cipriani before we will never know. My wife has had her hair cut next door for 10 years. We were fans of a large local chain that is now expanding National. Since their buyout the recipe has changed. Back to Cipriani's. Today we had the stuff pizza, the Spector be precise. The green peppers, onions, mushrooms were all juicy. Excellent sausage. We live 3 miles from their place. It's 27 degrees out when they delivered. Still burn in your mouth hot. Very flavorful. A couple of weeks ago we had the thin crust. Best in the Midway Airport/ Garfield Ridge area. Great pizza. Remember the chain I talked about earlier? Same sized pizza, chain is deep dish Cipriani's is stuffed. Cipriani's is about 40% less. And in my 60 plus years pizza eating experience, Cipriani's is better! read more

We ordered a spinach stuffed pizza for delivery, and we were not disappointed! It's very similar to Giordano's, good sauce, plenty of cheese, and of course the spinach! Delivery was well within the time promised. All in all, a good pizza experience, we will certainly call them again! read more

Delicious! We were stopping through on a long road trip and wanted some Chicago pizza. After reading some reviews we decided on Cipriani's and it didn't disappoint. We read that the pizza takes some time and since we had young kids with us that aren't all that patient we called ahead and showed up about 25 min later. After seeing the sizes we ordered a large, but the sizes are deceiving because it's a very dense pizza and my husband who could usually polish off most of a pizza on his own couldn't get through two slices. The spaghetti with marinara and garlic bread was delicious as well which is what I ordered as a vegetarian.
