Never again.. burger was a frozen patty not fresh didn't even fill the bun more bread then anything. The beef meat wasn't all that rib tips was boiled and disgusting, calzon tasted like beer, wings wasn't enjoyable tasted freezer burnt and breading was soggy, pasta the sauce was thick and cheese was bland like a cheese you buy at the store to make at home nothing fancy definitely not homemade on their part. Simply put a wonderful neighborhood spot! I'm hooked on Lena's. Growing up in this neighborhood I worked in a pizza place where we made homemade everything from lasagna to meatballs. Was "undercharged". Stating that the woman who took my order and charged me was wrong. Paid $15 for 4 slices of pizza and was then told I owed $3 more. All with an attitude as well. For some reheated slices...looks like he (whoever he was) treats his workers like crap. read more

The other day I went to the restaurant with my kids and asked the old man if we could change the channel for the little time we would be there and he said, "No because we are watching the ball game." Decent food, Decent service. I don't really see anybody wearing any gloves which is a big concern for me, but the kitchen looks pretty clean. Also when I order on the phone I usually get a cheaper price (on select items such as the Italian beef) than I would if I were to order in person, I guess it depends on who takes your order. I know they have better food here, but last night was awful. I ordered the breaded steak and wanted to give their buffalo wings a try. Never had neither. Such a disappointment. The breaded steak was like rubber, also the piece of steak they used was as thin as a slice of beef for a beef sandwich. The breading was massive and it was such a let down. Don't order the breaded steak. The buffalo wings, I ordered them spicy. They came bone dry. It's as if they took them out of the SAMs club bag and cooked them for you. Also they are $13.65 for a dozen. I know that's a lot for wings but I was expecting some thing special. What a waste. I threw them out after 2. They tasted awful. No sauce on them at all. Don't order the buffalo wings.... The boyfriend & I wanted good, inexpensive non-gourmet pizza that wasn't too far away from home. Giodano's is pricy & takes forever to deliver (yet they are closest to us) but we came across Lena's on one of our walks. It smelled so good that we remembered the name of the place! The following day, we decided to order. We got our delivery a few minutes earlier than quoted, the pizza was pretty loaded & fresh. The boyfriend loved their fresh-tasting sauce & the price was affordable. It was a bit greasy but given all the problems we've come across with cheaper pizzas, this was a minor issue. We plan on ordering them again & ordering more items to see if they are worth upgrading. read more

Our family regularly orders their broasted chicken which is quite good. Their pizza is average and their pasta is not very good. As a rule, we know what they do well and make sure to patronize them as a result. Tonight however I was more than a bit disappointed when we walked in 22 minutes until close to order ice cream and were refused service because staff wanted to go home. Amazingly the man who walked in after us got served. He had not previously ordered but was offered the staff's time and energy. What exactly about my 18 year old son who is polite and well spoken and myself an educator who also is respectful and well spoken made us unworthy of service? The only identifiable difference with masks on was that we are brown and the man was white. This is problematic and not acceptable. We are done supporting this small business. I have worked in the restaurant industry and were I managing this place the evenings staff would have been held accountable for this rude behavior. read more

I tried their pizza by the slice and was just "ok" it was pepperoni. The pepperoni was kinda cheap. The owner is really nice and they have really good Italian lemonade. So far thats all I tried. I noticed another joint across the street called Ciprianis and the reviews here say its pretty darn good. So far I tried their slice (sausage) and it was pretty decent. Terrible, simply terrible. I ordered a pizza for me and my family and brought it home right after. I live in the neighborhood so it wasn't far at all. Got home and fed me, my wife and my son. Later that night we I began to feel my stomach rumble and what not and I began to get terrible food poisoning symptoms. By about 12am I began to enter and leave the bathroom due to symptoms of food poisoning (vomiting and the runs) at about 1am my son comes upstairs to tell me he was having the same symptoms. My wife probably did not because as soon as we began to eat the pizza she said the sausage tasted a little funny and she did not continue to eat. This was also the only common food me and my son ate all day so that's how I was certain that we were suffering from food poisoning. After reading he different reviews about how the food always looks like it has been sitting or old it definitely makes sense now. The owner is probably also using expired goods in the kitchen as well which could have led to this food poisoning. This was an extreme inconvenience because my son had to miss school the next day because he was still throwing up and I also had to miss Work because I was still feeling the symptoms. read more

This is less than a review about how they are and more about how they WERE. When the original owner had the place, it was a pretty good pizza. Now, even though I believe the owner is a long time worker at Lena's, it isn't the same. Things have slowly changed over the years. The few times I went in for slices, they weren't too good. They re-heat them in their oven and it dries the slices out. They ought to get a decent warmer like Positano's. It's too bad. The guys there are friendly, but this isn't about personality. read more

Just finished eating Lena's pepperoni, sausage, jalapeno, and extra cheese thin crust pizza. What can I say other than thats a spicya meataball. This pizza is flat out excellent. The pizza had good chunks of meat and didn't skimp on any ingredients. It was a bit greasy but that's how I like it. Let's face it, I am not eating this pizza expecting to lose weight. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is because it was a bit expensive. I would recommend anyone to try this if they are in the area. read more

The pizza here is good. Their thin crust can be a bit on the bready side at times, but it's an overall good pie. The service is friendly and prompt for pick-ups and I have always gotten a good, hot pizza which is the one that I ordered and ready when they say it will be. If all you want is a slice, they are happy to warm one up to fresh baked goodness in minutes. As far as pizza goes, I order from here often. read more

This place is near my home, where I've lived for nearly 20 years but just tried the pizza in the last year. It's really good pizza. Why did I try the pizza now after this many years, because my daughter spotted it and her name is Lena. So, she insisted we try it. Pizza is good. It's all we've eaten then. I typically have them add extra sausage and cook well and it comes hot, fast and tasty. Customer service leaves a little to be desired. They never provide cheese or hot flakes, which I always think about after the food has been delivered. Most recently they accommodated me for my daughter's birthday party, where I was hosting 25 people. The delivery guy showed up with no napkins, paper plates, cheese or hot flakes, despite requesting them when I ordered. He offered to go back and get them, but we were miles from the shop and it wouldn't have made sense. Thankfully, the place we had the party at had some extra paper plates so we could use those. Would this stop me from ordering the pizza again, not at all. It's too good. read more
