Teriyaki Chicken & Thinly Sliced Beef Donburi

Another great food option in the Golden Mall food court is Ginza Don. They primarily specialize in BBQ-style donburi bowls. Needless to say, I got myself a donburi bowl. The Teriyaki Chicken & Thinly Sliced Beef Donburi ($16) is one of their top sellers. Makes a great lunch meal. I also got their Oyster Tempura ($7), which is super delicious. Just make sure you let it cool a bit so you don't burn your mouth like I did.

Easily the best stall in Golden Mall for a meal! The fried fish was so good, but our favorite item was for sure the fried sweet potato balls.

Corner stall with several tables and counter seating. There is contactless ordering available (QR code on every table and counter seat, as well as a kiosk), but paying with card seems to have a surcharge, so bring cash! The cashier seemed to only speak Mandarin, but I was able to point and order without an issue. I took a seat at one of the tables, and the staff brought out my food very quick. There are Sriracha and Teriyaki bottles on the table. They are squeeze bottles that comes out with a lot with one squeeze, so be careful! The Eel Donburi was sweet in a flavorful way, tender, and topped with furikake. It is over perfectly cooked rice (big portion!), with mushrooms (which were cold, I wish it was grilled), and cabbage (which tasted bitter in a weird way so I didn't eat it). The Poached Egg was packaged nicely. It was perfectly runny, which I mixed in with the rice. The Miso Soup was a little bland, but had a good amount of seaweed and tofu. The Seaweed salad was crunchy and well marinated. You can ask them for the key to the bathroom (key fob attached to a quart container) Overall a decent spot with fair pricing. Would try their other bowls next time.

Teriyaki Chicken with Fatty Beef Donburi: $15.99. Take-out

BLUF: Good donburi (Japanese-style meat and rice bowls) Ginza Don is the inner-most (southwestern-most) alcove of the newly re-opened and refurbished Golden Mall, the basement food court that gave birth to Xi'An Famous Foods. Ginza Don offers donburi -- Japanese-style meat and rice bowls. One could say Ginza Don is like a premium version of the Teriyaki One and Sarku Japan chains. We've had the Teriyaki Chicken / Thinly Sliced Beef Bowl, and Eel Bowl meal sets. Each meal set includes beech mushrooms, seaweed salad, a cup of miso soup, an onsen egg (here, a soft-boiled runny egg yolk), and a vial of sauce. The sides are between OK and Good (between 3 and 4 stars), unlike other places where the sides seem like afterthoughts. Take-out packaging has been very sturdy. We enjoyed the thinly sliced beef the most -- it was deliciously sweet, more so when mixed with the runny egg and rice. The beef is grilled to order. The teriyaki chicken and eel were OK, but we didn't like them as much as the beef. Also the runny egg didn't work as well with eel as it did with the beef. Logistics: Ginza Don has about room for about 10 people in its alcove, and has a couple of counter seats in front of the grill. Each table has a QR code that enables contactless ordering from a smartphone, and there is a tablet by the side of the food stall that also allows for contactless ordering, but I think these conveniences are surcharged. Complimentary Wi-Fi is supposedly offered, but wasn't available during our last visit. Golden Mall provides restroom facilities -- a couple of bathroom stalls accessed by passcode, and a common wash basin outside of the stalls. Ginza Don has its own wash basin. Accessibility: Golden Mall's 41st Road entrance (by the Q58 bus stop) has a short flight of 3 steps into the mall, and is closer to Ginza Don. The Main Street entrance has a longer, narrower, and steeper flight of stairs.

Teriyaki Chicken Donburi (照燒雞腿丼) for $13

I'm sad to see not too many people decide to eat here nowadays, hopefully lots of people do order food from them through the Hungry Panda app. The place used to be bustling with people during their grand opening except now looks so deserted with only two to three people here and there. There's a small designated area for customers to sit down. You order at the cashier and then the staff brings the food over. Accepted form of payment are cash and/or credit/debit card. Definitely fast service indeed!!! They provide free wifi with the wifi name & password as a sticker on the table. Plus, there's a wall outlet underneath each table so you can charge your phone while eating. They also provide a sink with liquid soap to wash your hands before and/or after your meal. How thoughtful! Always gets me when eateries have little touches like that here and there for their customers. The hot food is really fresh, delicious and worthy for your money nevertheless. I often like to order their teriyaki chicken donburi (照燒雞腿丼 - $13) just because how many pieces of meat there're in the bowl. Every order comes with miso soup, seaweed salad and a soft-boiled egg on the side. The rice soaks up the teriyaki sauce which makes it quite flavorful. Super fulfilling either as lunch or dinner. I've enjoyed my meal very much. Would definitely come back to try out other kinds of meat on the menu.

Came to check out the new eatery inside the Golden Mall. They specialize is Japanese rice bowls, aka Donburi . They have 7 options to choose from. They don't have a lot of options but there's something for everyone, unless you're vegetarian... . The meats are grilled to order, aside from the chicken, which is already grilling, since chicken does take the longest to cook. . The pork and beef are thin slices so they cook really fast. I'm not 100% sure about the eel but they are packaged and it appears to be hated in the microwave. . Each order comes with an onsen egg , mushrooms, sliced lettuce and a can of soda, which isn't bad at all... . You can really taste to smokiness of the grilled meats. It was good. I enjoyed it much, although I wish I would have added a more soy sauce since I got it to go...

This new eatery has their grand opening located inside the Golden Mall. The owner and staff are friendly. There are places to dine in (table or you can eat by the counter). You order food by the register and when the food is ready, the staff will bring it to you. You can choose from Teriyaki Chicken Donburi and Fatty Beef Donburi which comes with radish, miso soup and an raw egg to mix with the rice. We had the Fatty Beef Donburi, it was delicious and portion size is big. You can watch the cook make the food if you sit at the counter. There are sauces by the table; the utensils and napkins are by the register. For their grand opening, the restaurant is doing a promotion. From July 16-21, 2023 if you follow, share/tag them on social media. You will be eligible at a special discount price of the Teriyaki Chicken Donburi ($3.99, original price $12.99) and Thinly Sliced Beef Donburi ($4.99, original price $13.99).Please read the terms and conditions which include event starts at 11AM, each account can only allow one discount, needs to have at least 75 followers, dine- only, show proof to the owner of all the above, limited 100 discounter per order and cannot be combined with other promotions/coupons. Would recommend eating here!

Came to Ginza Don inside the Golden Mall with my friend and ordered the Crispy Pork Neck (Jowls) Donburi ($15.99), Teriyaki Chicken + Thinly Sliced Pork Belly Donburi and Tempura Oysters ($6.99). Each donburi order came with miso soup, seaweed salad, and a pouched egg on the side. The oysters came with 5 pieces and were fried nicely with a flakey batter. Did not feel heavy. My favorite was the thinly sliced pork belly because the Japanese BBQ sauce worked well with the char and smokiness of the grilled the meat. It was juicy and did not feel too fatty because of how thin it was. The chicken tasted milder, and the pork jowls were just too fatty for me to enjoy. It was my fault for ordering it not knowing what the dish even was. Haha. This stall is located in the back corner, which has 4 tables for seating. I ordered take out because I knew I was not going to finish, but my friend ordered to dine in, and I noticed that portion sizes seem a little more if you dine in.

Hidden Chinese/Japanarse donburi rice bowl stall inside Flushing Golden Mall. The merchants are more proficient in Mandarin as is the standard in Flushing. I've walked past multiple times but finally gave it a try during their anniversary promotion in collaboration with Good Coconut. I got the combo meal of a thinly sliced beef bowl and a Mango Coconut Milk to go. There are table and counter seats for dine-in.

Great food and servers are quite nice too. Theres around 12 ish seats in this part of the food court (not including bar seats) but I always seem to find some seats here. I usually get the ribeye donburi and although it is a bit pricey, it's worth the tender meat! I also feel like their dine in portion is a bittt more than the takeout.

Very good food, area is good, not bad service, and if u leave comments they will give u a free drink, so good

Ginza Donburi is the ultimate spot for work lunch! The food comes out so quickly, and I always ask for less rice because the portions are huge. I usually get the thinly sliced beef combo, but this time I tried the beef and chicken combo, and it was amazing. However, I definitely prefer the fatty beef over the chicken! And the fried egg is shaped like a heart - so cute! You can enjoy a generous amount of food for only 15.99 is crazy!

We had such tasty and fresh Japanese barbecue experience! Highly recommend you try Ginza Don in the Golden Mall in Flushing ! It was so neat to watch our meat being grilled. It really had our mouths watering! The portions are generous and I love how the meals come with miso soup, pickles, and a soft boiled egg! Here's what we ordered: ~Ribeye donburi- The meat was so tender and cooked to a nice medium rare! Just how I like it! The Japanese bbq sauce is soooo good, I always add extra! And the soft boiled egg and the yolk, gave the dish such a perfect richness! ~Karbi chuck ribs donburi- The fat on the meat just melted in my mouth. So delish! Definitely get some food from here and then enjoy walking around the mall! You can find bubble tea, cakes, among other things there. It's really a great time!

The hot pot itself I think was average but the real standout for me was the appetizers. Seating in a booth tucked away in a corner on the first floor was a bit awkward to navigate. The sauce station downstairs was not well maintained and several items were out of stock, but that may have been because it was around 9PM. Second floor seating and sauce station are better. Food 4.5/5: Main complaint is that their menu is really confusing, despite this being my second visit. There are 4 pricing tiers. Everyone in a party has to choose the same one, so it can get pricey fast. Higher tiers include seafood and more premium wagyu cuts. You still get unlimited wagyu in the lowest tier but seafood is not included. I think this setup is fine because premium seafood items like lobster and crab tend to clutter the pot and are difficult to deshell while hot but also taste worse after cooled. Although the premium wagyu cuts do taste richer and "melt in your mouth," most of the fat is renders into the broth. Therefore, I don't think hot pot is the best way to enjoy wagyu, so the higher tiers didn't feel worth the price. The best part of the meal was definitely the appetizers and specialty dishes. The wagyu bone marrow was amazing and a must-try but only available to the second tier or up. Ambiance 3.5/5: I think being tucked away in a corner booth made the experience less enjoyable. The table was small for a party of 6, so we constantly had to rearrange dishes whenever new food arrived. It was inconvenient that everyone had to get up whenever I needed to refill my drink or sauce. Service 4/5: The first floor sauce station wasn't restocked throughout our stay so options were limited. Otherwise no real complaints regarding service to our table.
