This place never disappoints! It's our favorite dining place. The food is always delicious. Went here last evening for my birthday.

The starter combo of black fig, prosciutto, and goat cheese with balsamic drizzle was fantastic, but when isn't it? Getting all those things on the same bite is magnificent. Compliments to the tableside fish carver for filleting with sprezzatura and compliments to the chef for such an excellent branzino dish. The sauce complimented the fish and was a perfect match as it leaked onto the asparagus and potaoes. Wife's dessert: black cherry ice cream and a cappuccino. My dessert: The amaro flight sounded interesting, but I was boring and went for a Dow 20 tawny just because it sounded really good. Thanks Natalie for properly pacing a 2 hour dinner. Excellence all the way around.

Oh Lancaster how you surprise me still... Seeing how Lancaster is very in-land, I was skeptical about any seafood Lancaster had to offer. Boy... do I get proven wrong every time I think Lancaster is bad at something. The Italian style seafood and restaurant; I didn't think much of it but this place quickly after just one night became a "if anyone visits, we goin here" spot. All the appetizers and entree was fantastic. The menu is small and quaint which I love cause it tells you what the restaurant is good at. All the food that came was super delicious. Buttery, savory, sweet, all the taste buds were hit. This place is a very good combination of casual and formal so whatever the occasions, it fits. The service was fast and attentive. Our guy always came over to check and was good about everything; A service. I'm going back and if you're in the area and craving Italian style seafood, this place is yet another Lancaster gem

Food was fresh and tasted great, we sat outside because there was a half an hour long wait for indoor and for the most part service was good considering we were away from the main party so we expected to be forgotten. Fresh food, good nice staff, beautiful ambiance. Highly recommend octopus , oyster with lamb , shrimp app, salmon was yummy and duck fat fries !

We came in for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. This whole experience was just disappointing, we were so looking forward to a special evening out. We usually go to the Log Cabin for our anniversary but we decided to try somewhere new and saw this place had overall great reviews. Unfortunately we did not have that same experience. The ambiance is a more intimate setting but no one was very friendly I just didn't get a genuine hello, goodbye, thanks for joining us from anyone. We started with the Frito Misto and raw oysters. The oysters were good but the Frito Misto was served without the sauces, we had to keep searching for someone to catch their eye to get the sauces it was supposed to have. Even with the sauces it was very clumped together and lacked any flavor. Server didn't come over to us at all during the appetizers or when we were done our empty plates sat for a while until someone else cleared them. Once the entrees came out she did stop once I asked for a gingerale because I was not a fan of the mocktail I had ordered. I got the lobster fettuccine which I did really enjoy besides the fact there was shell still on one of the pieces of lobster. My husband got the filet which I was planning on having some but it was so charboiled on the outside it just tasted like the grill. Really felt by doing such a hard charbroil on it ruined it and was not appetizing. We both didn't finish our meals and waited for the server to stop again. At this point when I had no drink now, not even a water refill the entire night, she then dropped of the gingerale which we were ready to get our meals boxed and leave. We also noticed every other table around us had been given bread on their table. We were not. Overall we just felt like we were given the bare minimal service and not acknowledge at all when trying to celebrate a special evening. We don't get date nights together that often and to have one so disappointing was really unfortunate.

Martini flight. My favorite was the peanut butter!

Went there last night to celebrate our anniversary. Food was delicious and so was the martini flight. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Don't know why we don't come here more often!

Excellent food, excellent service. Made us feel very welcome and special. We are not accustomed to "fine dining", but we're very comfortable. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful in my decision making. :)

Finally a top notch fine dining restaurant that delivers in Lancaster. We enjoyed dinner while celebrating our Anniversary. It had a romantic atmosphere and our server Matt was very good to us. He was professional and had a polished knowledge of the menu and ingredients that are served nightly and seasonally. The entire dinner was amazing from start to finish. We started with the crab cake and lobster cocktail. My lobster was served on ice, which I love and with a cocktail and tartare sauce. The crab cake was the best we ever had. I ordered my filet mignon med rare, and it was cooked perfectly! It was served with savory asparagus and whipped potato. My husband enjoyed the special, a Parmesan crusted grouper with yummy spinach and carrots medley over rice. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. To finish we shared a crème brûlée which was delicious. I can't say enough good things about this place, we can't wait to go back. You will love the food here, they are doing things right!

We shared lobster fettuccine and the roasted beet salad and they actually split our dinner up evenly between us!

This restaurant is magnificent! From the moment we walked in till the last bite was stupendous! It was our 37 year anniversary and we wanted a special meal. We got the raw seafood tower for two. Also we shared lobster linguine, crab cakes and a beet salad. Topped it off with a molten lava cake and enjoyed drinks also! The service was on point! The food mouth watering and delicious! And the price wasn't bad! I would totally visit again! Unfortunately I live far away!

The server did a great job with making sure that our drinks were filled, and we had to go boxes and brought our food out in a timely manner. Some of the appetizer choices were the calamari, fried kale and crab claw lollipops. All three were absolutely outstanding, and the portions were large. For dinner, our choices are rockfish, lobster, mac & cheese, filet mignon, or grilled chicken green curry. Again, the portion sizes were large and everyone enjoyed their meals. We were able to choose from a flourless chocolate torte or cheesecake. I forgot to mention that the Caesar salad was so fresh and the dressing was outstanding. I would like to come back and experience the restaurant and their entire menu. The upstairs had a fun, urban feel with a fireplace and a cool bar. We felt comfortable and it was a fun vibe.

You see, back in 17th century England, private houses would open their homes to the public and sell food and beer. Hence, public house. Over time, they dropped the "lic house" and just called them pubs. Because you never dropped the "lic house" makes me think that you haven't evolved like you should have. And frankly, your food is proof. In fact, it even made me nostalgic. But not in the way you might think. You see, I loved making fun food concoctions when I was a kid. My sister and I would watch this corny show called "Zoom" on Maryland public television, where the kid hosts would make recipes sent in from all over the country. We'd make homemade peanut butter cups using Jif and semisweet chocolate chips. Or weird sandwich combinations like pickles and potato chips and cheese and jelly. The seafood egg rolls weren't the worst part of my meal, but they were definitely sophomoric--as if a kid chef-in-training was asked to whip something up from Chinese food leftovers. Seafood should never taste fishy, yet these did. One bite hit me like something that had been sitting a little too long above the waterline. Not to mention, they were laying on a greasy glob of some mayonnaise accompaniment disguised as a fancy garnish you'd see on MasterChef. One word: Ick. The ahi tacos. Oh boy. My mind fills with seawater the moment I think of them because they tasted as if they had been fished right out of the ocean and then placed on my plate. They were wet. Soaked. Drenched. The gelatinous seaweed clump on each taco wasn't culinary-forward, just unappetizing. I took one bite and wished I could spit it back out, but I reluctantly swallowed it. My esophagus is now aquaphobic thanks to you. The moment the coconut jasmine rice hit my mouth, my tastebuds took the red eye to the coconut tree haven of the Maldives. Normally, this wouldn't be a bad thing, but the rice and coconut had no cohesion. It tasted like my younger self dumping a handful of shredded coconut--the sweetened kind my mom kept in the pantry for the wool on her Easter-shaped lamb cake--into a cup of microwaveable rice. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was your kind, charismatic waiter. He was lovely in every way--attentive, sweet, and helpful. He would have been an incredible host on "Zoom." If only his personality made the food taste better. For your sake, I hope you learn to evolve your kitchen's offerings beyond the amateurish trio I experienced. If not, your restaurant's bones may end up fossilized alongside every other place that couldn't adapt.

I'd been to Baltimore for Christmas with her but wanted to see what her summers were like growing up. Her father's best friend since 1st grade, her godfather, offered to treat us to Thames St Oyster House and we could not pass up the offer. We'd been before, she'd been several times. It was her dad and godfather's favorite place to celebrate big occasions. We loved it. As we sat down at our table her godfather exclaimed "Well I'm not the only one paying for this meal, I've been waiting to use this." It was a $100 gift card from my fiancé's late father, in his handwriting. We were floored. We all got choked up and cried a little. It felt like her father was giving us his blessing from beyond the grave. The oysters were phenomenal. The crab cake was amazing. The local beer was perfect on a hot day. Then it came time to pay. We were horrified when the waitress came back with the gift card and told us it was expired. Expired? There is no expiration date printed on it which means it is legally valid indefinitely. She explained that they changed POS systems since the card had been purchased (again, by my fiancé's late father before he was taken by cancer) and that the new system did not recognize it. "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." No offer to grab a manager to see if a portion of the meal could be comped. Just $100 spent by a dearly departed that Thames St Oyster House does not have to answer for. A very tender moment ruined by poor customer service. They've lost 3 repeat customers.
