Amazing find and excellent pit stop on a road trip!…read more Tastefully decorated space, the dining tables and comfy seats really stood out. So clean and spotless! Our host seated us promptly and Ashley took very good care of us throughout. Wonderful staff, everyone with a friendly smile here. Really enjoyed the French Onion Soup, Minestrone and Maryland Crabcakes, big fan of shrimp and baby scallops. Will try the Classic all lump crabcake next time. Chicken Quesadilla is huge perfect with corn nuggets and cauliflower and cheese. A must visit when in the area!!

My coworker is slight of stature but can definitely eat and is properly described as a foodie. She was happy that I brought her. I had the Mac n cheese special for $11.99 which included a nice salad, two dinner rolls, and stewed tomatoes. For an extra $5 I added a huge and delicious crab cake. My coworker got something called Funky Fries which she said was like a gigantic omelet with various ingredients and about a half-pound of cheese. She liked it and took about half of it home with her. I appreciate that Knight & Day serves coffee in a small carafe to top up my cup. We were in a hurry and since I didn't refill my coffee, I asked for a to-go cup which Beth cheerfully got for me. There's a reason why Knight & Day is usually full-up with customers: good food, friendly service, reasonable prices.

George , the owner , is very visible and really cares that u are leaving with a smile on your face .. The food is great and so is the service.. I've taken , out of state company, visiting me there and they've loved it too .. , they felt they had a unique experience for a visit in a very comfortable atmosphere..., It's has established quite a local regulars that visit this restaurant often .. I know a young girl that worked there during her senior year of high school..,she loved working for George ...she left her job when she began her college years . I think it says a lot about the management...as well as the fact she was so happy to work there ..with great people... Yes , if you go during prime times .. u will have a wait..so go a little early for your meal or visit when it's not so busy .. Great food and service too !!!

It pains me to give this place 3 stars. Our waitress was the sweetest the food was really good. We…read morewere in town for the Easter holiday weekend. Came here on a Monday just after 10:30am and they honored our breakfast order. The lunch menu starts promptly at 11am so this was really nice of them. The place is so cute! It's got a country/hipster vibe. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a bar! :) My one issue with breakfast was that I asked for butter and was given butter packets. We came here thinking we were having fresh Amish butter, nope! - What a disappointment! Ugh. The reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars is because of the weird smell. Walking in I thought maybe we walked in right after a gassy person but as we walked through the restaurant to the back the smell was still consistent. We got to the table and the smell seemed to go away or at least we got used to it. At one point I had to use the bathroom and while walking around to find it, the smell hit me first. I was able to smell my way there. Once walking out I was sick. My husband also had to use the e bathroom but the smell was too strong for him so we went stopped elsewhere. The place has a smell that's a mixture of plug-ins and poop. It's the weirdest thing. I'm not sure if they were having sewer issues today or what happened. It seemed like they were definitely aware of the issue because the smell of several plug-ins or air fresheners was obvious. I'd like to give this place another try since the ambiance, food, and staff were all great but the odor is a dealbreaker for me. I guess I'd have to go back & see if this issue gets resolved, if not, I would not stay a second time.

I've visited this place twice now and usually I'm not too inspired to write a review, but my visit…read morelast night really showed how much I enjoy the general vibe and especially the food of this place. When you enter this place its at ground level and immediately you recognize you need to take the stairs up. Once you usher yourself up it opens up to two areas where you wait to be seated. The place is an older vintage like gastropub where the front is one bar and some seating, but on the backside is more open seating with where the band and another bar are situated. This place isn't meant to be for large groups, but could possibly accommodate groups of 6. The main bar which also next to the kitchen is an older vintage style bar and whisky's is nothing special but once you sit down and hear the music you settle in nicely. Service has always been courteous and prompt and the menu looks like there are a good assortment of choices. The two times I've been here I've ordered the mussels which includes great sauce and spread with seasoned ground meet. Was so yummy! The second time I came I tried the CHICKEN FRICASSEE. Man was that great! It includes 4 pieces of bread, chicken and the mushroom sauce. So good! Both times I had some of their assortment of single scoop ice-cream which in this area, something about the milk from their amish cows is so creamy. All that said, this is one of my fav places to come enjoy a glass of wine and food. Oh and Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday's they have some instrumental band playing too.

You know those meals that are so darn delicious that days later your still thinking about it?…read more Well this was that meal!! OMG. In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. My husband says it was the best shrimp and grits he's ever had! My steak tips were equally as yummy. The sauce was out of this world good!! The fries!! Jesus what was that sorcery ?? YUMMMM. Hats off to the owners and chefs! Only bad thing is we don't live close by and we can't go back soon. But we will be back!! Special mention to our wonderful fun server, Luis, who made the experience even better for us! Give that guy a raise. THANK YOU!!

A relatively short drive from our house yielded the most eclectic, fantastic place I've ever seen…read more I found this place on Yelp, but did not read any reviews on it, so wasn't sure what to expect. The parking lot was full. The decor out front was mismatched bistro tables and chairs, so I liked it already. One step in the door and I was astounded. Old cabinets, scales, canning jars on one wall, photos and old pressure cookers on another, and no two tables or chairs the same. Coffee and cold drinks are serve yourself. Pick your own cup from an assortment of mismatched cups. Even the menu had little gems hidden in the descriptions. I ordered my usual, my standard for judging a restaurant, chipped beef over potatoes, and my husband ordered a 'meat lovers' eggs Benedict. It was a bit of a wait for the food as there were only 2 people working, but I wasn't bored because there were so many things around the place to look at. One bite of my food and I knew it was a winner. Thick, rich sauce with more meat than I've ever seen in a chipped beef gravy, and onions in the potatoes. Steven's Benny had sausage instead of an English muffin, and meat gravy instead of Bearnaise. He loved his food as well. Becky's is only open weekdays. She said it was too busy on weekends, and she does just fine being open weekdays. I can believe it. When we left, the parking lot was still full. This won't be our Saturday stop, but now Steven's off on Wednesdays, we can make this one a new regular stop.

I went to Becky's Kitchen for lunch. I was met with friendly greetings and a welcoming atmosphere…read more The soup was thick and rich with flavor. The sandwich was simple and delicious. Good conversation and good food. My first time at Becky's Kitchen. I'll be back soon.
