We were seated upstairs and it was really loud as bigger groups fit up there and the two of us were off in a corner. My husband and I couldn't have a conversation due to a larger group across the room. Ordered pumpkin spice latte which arrived AFTER our food and was like warm. Tasted good but disappointed it not being very warm and not being able to sip at it while waiting for our food. The Belgium waffle was fresh and light, my husband enjoyed it. I had the three meat egg flipper with rosemary potatoes. Eggs tasted fresh and the sourdough was great. Bacon in the flipper had quite a few pieces that were way too hard so I picked it out. My fiancé and I have been talking about coming back here for a year. We haven't stopped talking about their French press in that long. Genuinely one of the best cups of coffee I've had in America. I got the tomato pie turnover (omelette) and it was delicious. And he got the grain bowl..? Something like that. I love coming here. The food is fresh and healthy and about delicious. A small group of ladies selected this restaurant because it is known for the tomato pie. We ordered to share. It was very good. One girl ordered the turkey & brie on croissant. That's where my rating comes in. It was NOT brie cheese, I couldn't taste ANY brie. When I called the waitress over, she said 'there it is' & pointed to a 'spread' that resembled mayo. Very popular place in a very quaint area. We tried the storied tomato pie to share. Dear Lord! Lots and lots of cheese. It had the best non-home cooked pie crust I have ever had. I am a baker and I know good baking. This crust is excellent! It's the best I've ever eaten outside my home or my mother's kitchen. We also split strawberry packages. Lovely. whoa! thats one reaaally good tomato pie! ive never tried one before so this was a great treat! crust was so good and the tomatoes were fresh and bursting with flavor. So glad we tried their signature dish! Their cookie butter was good but a bit too sweet for me. Like sugary sweet. Ham, mushroom and cheese omelette was okay. However service was great! all the staff we encountered were nice and pleasant. Parking is kinda hard but luckily we came on an early saturday morning so the bank across was closed and the hostess mentioned we can just park there on their lot which we did lol. We had a delicious breakfast here! There was a short 10 minute wait on Sunday morning around 9:30. We took a chance and decided to try the tomato pie for the local experience- it was so good!! Really blew us away. Our pumpkin spice lattes were great, not too sweet. My husband devoured his baked oatmeal. I found the "grilled biscuits" a little weird, kind of too buttery/greasy. Third or fourth time here. Always a pleasure, came on Mother's Day actually around 2:30 so we got seated right away. The interior design is very comforting, historic and homey as if you're eating at home with family, a charming and quaint little cafe with surprising amount of space. Unfortunately limited outdoor space but they do have seating outside! Had the pleasure of doing both indoor and outdoor and highly recommend both! Food is ALWAYS delicious. I'm the biggest fan of their tomato pie (think of like a cheesy, tomato combo with a flaky pastry crust)! I crave it from time to time! It's always hot, melty, buttery and delicious. They had a limited menu this day but we still enjoyed all our dishes. My husband got the tomato pie flipper and finished every crumb! They also have the most delicious drinks if you like fancy coffee and chai combos, some fresh fruit lemonades too! Service is always top notch. This was a cute quaint shop with delicious pastries, and to me unique menus breakfast brunch items. It was the first time I tried their tomato pie and it was worth it! Bottom Line: Excellent food and service but an unconfortable atmosphere. My husband and I randomly stumbled upon the Tomato Pie Cafe in Harrisburg a few years ago so when we realized there was also a location in Lititz we were all in for a Sunday breakfast! We both loved our meals. I got the three-cheese quiche and my husband got the Tomato Pie Flipper. The quiche was served with fresh greens and a savory herb scone and I opted for a parmesan grit cake over the other choices of fruit, squash or potatoes. Between the quiche, scone and grit cake its really hard to say what the star of the meal was since all three of those items were incredibly scrumptious. My husband's breakfast, the Tomato Pie Flipper, was sort of like an omelet with tomatoes and cheese inside. He got a side of fruit, some of which wasn't ripe, but he did enjoy his meal and I was happy to take a few bites of his flipper Service was excellent! Our server was friendly and efficient and our food came out quickly. We had various questions on the menu and it was clear she knew the menu very well. We opted to sit inside by the window. We enjoyed the charming interior and views of the park across the way but the noise was a bit off-putting. Sitting close to what I am guessing is a cappuccino machine we had the constant wrapping of the coffee filter on the counter to get the grinds out. We also constantly heard someone yelling for our server from the kitchen. I guess that is their process to let the server know food is up but between the constant wrapping on the counter and the awkwardness of our server being called for it wasn't very relaxing. Something else that I thought was odd was the plastic plates which reminded me of what they use in hospitals. For such a delicious meal I would have thought they would use slightly more refined dishes. If I visit this Tomato Pie Cafe location again I think I would sit outside or get it to go to have a more peaceful atmosphere to enjoy such an incredibly delicious meal. read more

Solid 4 stars. We got takeout brunch for a large group of adults and kids and they did a very nice job. The first question you may be asking is, what is a tomato pie. I think the best way to describe it is to say it is a cross between a pizza and a quiche. It doesn't seem to have egg, just crust, really delicous tomatoes and cheese. It comes with a "savory scone" but as delicious as the tomato pie was, the scone was a miss. It was sort of a soggy, doughy mass that didn't have much in the way of form or flavor. The pie also came with a small side salad with a tasty dressing. At $7.95 for a single or $11.95 for a double, it's a great deal. The pumpkin scone with brown butter glaze was quite good, much better than the savory scone that comes with the tomato pie. The lemon blueberry muffins were good, though the coffee cake muffin was over dry and not that flavorful. One of the real highlights was the pretzel breakfast sandwich. You can get raspberry honey mustard or sweet sriracha sauce. I went with the sriracha and it was fantastic. The mile spice and tang balanced with some honey sweetness perfectly complimented the eggs, bacon, cheese and spinach and the pretzel role was divine. The kids got the rainbow french toast from the kids menu which was fun looking and tasted good but really could have done with a little accompaniment. It was literally just two lonely pieces of toast in a container. I would suggest tossing in a little fruit, if for nothing else just to make it look less plain. All in all I would go back, especially for the tomato pie and the pretzel sandwich. read more
