Just want you to know that yesterday, your front in the door waitstaff let you down. We were so disappointed with our service. The tall man with an accent was our waiter. We were taking a little time with the menu since we were unfamiliar with it. I asked a question about what were egg fixers and he said Omelettes. I asked for a half n half but did not understand the symbol and "got it" once he pointed it out As unavailable. My son in laws coffee arrived, my daughter's never arrived. Our omelette plates for my husband and I came out...sat on the counter and were returned to the kitchen. They arrived lukewarm later. We waited a long time for our meal and when my daughter's arrived -it was inedible. Too light and gummy inside not fully cooked. We were told just a few minutes..come on it was pancakes. We finished our meal and signaled to the waiter to come over. We cancelled our daughter's order and asked that it be taken off the bill. My husband noted the 3 and 4 staff behind the counter looking at phones and talking together when we were waiting and waiting and waiting several times. This was our goodbye breakfast send off for us to the airport from visiting our daughter and son in law in Lititz. We went back to her home to say final goodbyes as our SIL cooked our daughter something to eat. Really disappointed. I believe they called and got a very non concerned "sorry". Your staff does not seem to understand that the customer experience is what a business is all about. Your waiter was not friendly but matter of fact as if our questions on the menu were a bother. He did not check if he had gotten BOTH drinks delivered and letting 3 people at the table have to eat while one waited and never got their PANCAKES as everyone else finished is not the "it will just be 2 minutes" promised. Your staff was more attentive to their cell phones than us as customers. Why are they even having cell phones while working? read more

The perfect spot for brunch! The tomato pie was absolutely delicious as was every other dish that we got!

Met local friends for lunch here. And I was so looking forward to it as I perused the menu before we left home. It mentioned grit cakes as a side option. Since I love grits I was interested. We arrived early and were told they couldn't seat our party til everyone was there. So I asked if they'd put us in a place where it was quiet since we had people who are hearing impaired. "We'll do our best to accommodate you" So we moseyed around to the Wilbur Chocolate Store, continued onto main street looking in and out of the stores and made our way back to the café. This is a small town café where they don't take reservations so it's hit or miss if there will be a line out the door or being seated immediately. This being a Tuesday morning- no wait. We arrived early again and since our friends were parking their car we were told to sit in the quiet waiting room off the main doorway. I once AGAIN asked if we could have a quiet spot and another staff member said---"We'll do our best to accommodate you". By then I realized something was off or from a science fiction TV show. You know what I'll make a long story short...................We will not be going back here again. No reason to with all the other large and Yelped restaurants. Service was abrupt- here's your water what can I get you. Small portions, and yes lower prices........but better order a side of something and share it. The carrot fries are not worth the extra upcharge in my humble opinion. Before you know it the check was placed on the table - plenty of empty tables- shouldn't have been so rushed. They don't have a parking lot so bring lots of quarters. AND you know what they no longer have grit cakes............the slice of herb scone you get was good but more like a piece of finger food size. And the noise was unbearable upstairs..............DON"T sit next to the window or you'll have the sun in your eyes the whole meal. Also you can't turn around in the bathrooms downstairs. Be sure you leave your coat and purse at the table. read more

I absolutely adored this place. This town in general is super cute but I felt like this cafe was the icing on the cake. The staff was super kind and extremely helpful. We sat upstairs which was nice and intimate. It was a great place to catch up and chat. We probably stayed here for three hours and felt so welcomed. I started with a pot of English breakfast tea which was wonderful and such a delight. For my brunch I had the tomato pie with an added side of the rosemary herb potatoes. The pie itself was absolutely incredible. The ratios inside were perfect and the crust was spectacular. I've never had a tomato pie like it. The scone and salad that came with the pie were also great. The scone was the perfect texture and so delicious. The salad was very fresh! The potatoes were seasoned to perfection. I loved this meal and can't wait to come back. For desert I got a sugar cookie which was adorable and very tasty! I absolutely recommend this wonderful spot. read more

The perfect afternoon in the Pennsylvania countryside! Lititz is a cute town with shops to bop around, a beautiful park, and this historic-looking restaurant. The speciality tomato pie is not like anything I've ever eaten, and is absolutely delicious. The tomatoes are almost bruschetta-like, and the tomato pie is both filling and somehow light at the same time. Would recommend stopping in for their fresh and light lunch menu! Service is super friendly! read more

I love this cafe so much! I always come here when I'm in lititz. Whether it's catching up with a friend over brunch, or stopping by for a coffee during work. Always delicious food, delicious drinks, and friendly staff. It's such a cozy vibe inside. 10000/10 recommend. read more

I feel bad for the staff and the patrons of this place because the manager/hostess is absolutely horrible. She's clearly an unhappy person and she projects that onto everyone around. It's a shame because I thought the food was pretty good and the servers were trying their best. read more

We came by from a recommendation from local family. We tried the tomato pie and spinach and artichoke tomato pie with carrot fries for the first time and loved them. They were both full of flavor and the dill dipping sauce for the carrot fries was amazing. The boys were not sure about this but had the hamburger and grilled cheese and both thought they were very good. My father in law really enjoyed the lavender lemonade also. This has been one of our favorite restaurants on our trip so far from Florida. We have been looking for places near us who might sell the tomato pies and also recipes. Highly recommend stopping by. read more

This place is magical. I came here 13 years ago after my son was born and I got a tomato pie a salad or I can still remember. I absolutely fell in love with the place. We came back here two years ago and it was just as magical my husband got this amazing lavender cake and we had this herb lemonade, we're going back to Lancaster and we're planning our trip around visiting here. They have these wonderful scones that are just delightful. I would take the time to visit. It is really just a special place. read more

Pleasant service. I would prefer more tomatoes and less cheese in my tomato pie, but I bet I am outnumbered. The slice of pie came with a little bit of undressed lettuce and a small slice of herb scone. Unfortunately, I was hungry less than 2 hours later. Lesson learned. read more

Great food and atmosphere! Give yourself extra time to find parking and a possible wait for seating.

Still an amazing place to grab breakfast and lunch! You should always be prepared for a 15 minute or more wait to be seated. But there is a reason for that and it's 100% worth it. read more

My coworker and I decided to give this place a go after we've heard many things about this place. For starters, parking is miserable. Be prepared to park on the street (bring quarters - Lititz ticketing is no joke). They do have seating indoors and outdoors (seating is limited and I was told they only do reservations for 6+). We were greeted by the friendly hostess and opted to sit outside as there was no wait. They did have umbrellas for their tables but it only helped to a certain extent (tbh glad there was just outside seating). Our server was SO nice and attentive. He was quick to get refills, napkins, etc. My coworker and I ordered the same pick two. We ordered the house salad and the pesto chicken panini. The salad was a healthy portion but I could have done with shaved carrots and not chunks as it was a bit difficult to pick up. The sandwich had good flavor but wasn't very "stuffed." I thought the prices were very reasonable. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch but was expecting a touch more. I would love to go back and give it another whirl as there are a few other items I'd love to try! read more

So delicious, friendly, and convenient :) they have so many milk options for coffees and teas & the food was great. I didn't take pix unfortunately for this review but we got a tomato pie + blackened chicken salad... so good! Cute and cozy place. read more

Decor/service: the service was on the slow side however they were quite busy so I will give them a pass on that. It is an old house so there are many different rooms to be seated including upstairs. Food: the food was a bit of a let down. The tomato bisque tasted like tomato soup from Campbell's that they sprinkled a little cheese on at the end. The meatball sub bread was delicious but overall was nothing special as a whole. The obvious reason to go here is their coffee but that can be gotten to go. read more

Great food, service and atmosphere. I must go for breakfast or lunch if you are in Lititz.

Somehow I found this place years ago because of my obsession with all things tomato. It has become an annual pilgrimage. Always have the tomato pie. With greens and herb scone. Love the vinaigrette that is always on the table, so of course I have it at home. You can get the vinegar at a shop nearby. This year I tried the pie with bacon and corn. Not a home run. Corn didn't have that fresh local flavor and overall pie was soggy. Still a huge fan. Wish I lived closer so I could try something else on the menu. But I need a slice of that pie of every year. BTW got a s'more brownie too. Another miss. Oddly light and fluffy. Until next year... read more

4.25 stars. We arrived on a Sunday around 9:30 and there were about 20 people standing outside waiting on a table. Not many options for early breakfast downtown. This may be it. Everything else seemed to be brunch starting at 11am, so expect a wait. I walked inside to check out the interior and they had a bar, so I asked if we were allowed to sit there and it was OK, so I waved my wife inside and we bellied up to the bar. Approx. 10 seats and we were the only ones, but not for long. You are right in front of the action, as two guys were cranking out lattes, cappuccino's, etc., and they were super nice and chatty when they had the chance. My wife decided on a cappuccino and I opted for a maple cardamom latte, which was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and the combo of flavors really worked well together. As a bonus, one barista accidentally made a 16oz chai latte instead of 12oz, so he dropped the extra right in front of us and it was outstanding. Wow. Much sweeter than my drink, but so stinking good. We had a funny interaction when it was time to order our meals. The one barista heard me mention to my wife what I was going to order, and she replied to me what she was gonna get and he says, "what sides do you want with those?" and we were taken back as we had no clue he was listening. My wife advised on her side and I mentioned my hash didn't come with a side, but just bread, so I advised sourdough. Meals took about 15 minutes since they were slammed and when our meals came out, mine was not what I ordered, but a wrap with some bread. I asked him about it and he quickly apologized and he misunderstood what I ordered and would have gladly corrected the error, but I was starving and had almost a full cup of latte in my belly, so I told him it was totally fine and would enjoy what arrived. We all had a good laugh over the mistake, as what he gave me is what he would normally order. I guess I should have confirmed what he heard me telling my wife :). It was a pretty basic wrap, so I need to come back and get what I really wanted to try (seasoned sausage, roasted butternut squash, and rosemary potato hash topped with two eggs. Served with toast). Small deduction for the error, but love the place and will show up a tad earlier to get a table in the cute outdoor space, but sitting in front of those guys was a real show and that bonus chai latte. Amazing. read more

Well... I'm annoyed I paid 6 dollars for the tiny swirl cake. I feel like they're trying to have NYC prices on Lititz quality food. Just not hitting right - I couldn't even finish it. The veggie wrap was sad, it had like four mushrooms in it and a couple pieces of cauliflower and spinach. Two stars for the mustard salad dressing, that was scrumptious. read more

Wow, this place knocks it out of the ballpark! Charming small restaurant in adorable downtown Lititz. Serve breakfast til 2 pm. The menu is mind-boggling. So many choices! And you can get choice of 2 half sandwich/soup/flatbread. Try the tomato pie! It's not like a NJ tomato pie but an individual herby puffy cheesy tomatoey goofy thing in a crusty border. Yum. They have many veggie and gluten free options. Each of us got different things that were all terrific. See photos. Highly recommend side of carrot fries! Pleasant efficient service. Gets crowded fast. Indoor and outdoor seating. When you're done, go next door to Wilbur's chocolate store! read more

I was excited to try Tomato Pie Cafe, but the experience was a let down. The barista greeted us, sat us, and got us water. He also made a fancy-looking latte. He was very friendly. Our server, however, was not. She seemed annoyed by us, and left us waiting for so long after our meal that someone else brought the check. I was also pretty disappointed with my meal. The portion of tomato pie was small, and mine was not even a whole slice. The side of greens was plain with no dressing or anything. That with the scone made for a very dry meal. And even though tomato pie isn't pizza, as it states on the menu. It sure tastes just like it. (Which is not a bad thing!) read more

We asked the locals and they delivered! Quite a few folks said go to Tomato Pie Cafe... it's a super cute local cafe. A ton of GF options. We ordered 1/2 sandwich and salad combo with a side of sweet potato fries. The GF sando was really good. More of a healthy spin on a turkey, lettuce tomato. Super cute that the tomatoes were picked on their onsite tiny garden. The chicken curry salad tasted tangy and delicious. The sweet potato fries were different than the norm. Very crunchy. The dill dip was awesome. Would visit again... read more

This place is absolutely amazing and I hope to eat here again when I'm back in this area. I ordered the curry chicken salad, which is not what I expected but delicious nonetheless. I thought it would be curry chicken over a bed of lettuce, but there were only a few pieces of lettuce. Pretty heavy and very filling meal. Full of flavor and absolutely delicious especially with the savory herb scone that came with it. My friend ordered the balsamic Turkey burger and said it was amazing with the pretzel bun. Next time I am back I will definitely try the signature tomato pie or something else. My order was great but I'd prefer something different/lighter next time! read more

Love this place! It's been awhile since I've been here, but it was the same as I remembered. Charming location in downtown Lititz, across from the park, walking distance to local shops, and outside seating. Perfect weather to sit outside, sip a latte and enjoy Sunday brunch. Everything on the menu sounds delicious. My fiancé had the Pretzel Breakfast Sandwich, that raspberry honey mustard...forget about it! It make the sandwich! I had the Tomato Pie Flipper. Not quite the same as the actual tomato pie (which is delish, btw), but wanted eggs since it was still fairly early in the day. My eggs were slightly over cooked, but that's just a personal preference. Bacon and rosemary potatoes added the side of fat and carbs I was craving ;) read more

A great selection of breakfast meals the ones we tried were delicious. The tomato pie fold over and the baked oatmeal were especially good.

I'll be honest. If you'd told me a month ago that the culinary surprise hit of my visit to Lititz would be a savory vegetarian dish called "tomato pie," I wouldn't have believed you. But indeed, it was, and it was truly fantastic. Maybe my only regret was not ordering a double slice. It's kind of like a lasagna or pizza, but with a flaky pie crust. It's topped with a light mild cheese and filled with perfectly seasoned, perfect ripe (not bitter!) tomatoes. Oh, and their espresso was top notch. I had the one they called the "raw espresso" made with raw honey... good but seemed twice as sweet as my wife's "regular" sweetened espresso. read more

I may be the last person in northern Lancaster County to eat at the TMC, but today that person finally made the trip,to Lititz to enjoy breakfast with the wife. And a delicious meal was had by all. Once we scanned the QR code menu, orders for Avacado toast by the wife and tomato pie flipper (omelette) were placed, but then my wife took it a step further by also ordering a tomato pie lunch dish. Both the waiter and I were taken aback by this bold move, but off he went to do his thing. Coffee and bottled water soon arrived, and we enjoyed our outdoor garden seating while waiting for the food. To note, the patio seating is fantastic- shady, well planted, cozy- unlike allot of the Covid-induced asphalt parking lot venues that have appeared of necessity. This outdoor seating is akin to Griddle and Grind in Ephrata...like you are enjoying someone else's patio while eating breakfast. Nice to live in someone else's world for 30 minutes. Lest I digress. Food arrived, and my tomato pie omelette was interesting- and tasty. My wife made jealous eyes at my rosemary hash browns- and so the sharing (?) began. Her avocado toast was enjoyed as well, as was my toast .All in all, very good, and as we came down the consumption homestretch, the tomato pie order arrived. Uh-oh....surprisingly, with both of us nibbling away, we did it justice. I have been to the TPC, I have sampled their TP, and yes, my friends, it is good. Service was excellent, payment was completed at the table, and we were on the way. $27 for two breakfasts and a tomato pie. TPC is worth the hype. While I did not set foot indoor, outdoor seating provided a relaxing way to enjoy some unique and delicious foods. read more

Drove to the lovely little town of Lititz, PA today to have lunch at the tomato pie, only to discover there was a huge craft festival in the town. Streets were closed but we made our way to the tomato pie Café and found we only had a 15 minute wait. Sat outside on a perfect summer afternoon. My husband ordered the tomato pie and I got the tomato pie with bacon and corn, a summer special. Both came with a side salad. We use the lemon vinaigrette on the table which is always delicious and tastes like summer. We also got the peach ginger ice tea which was certainly a treat, very refreshing and the ginger was so good. As always a great experience at this restaurant and we highly recommend it. A friend asked me where we ate the last time we went to Lititz and after I told her she told me I should have gone to Tomato Pie Cafe. That was where I'd wanted to go, but things went a little sideways and we went elsewhere, but, I knew that the next time I was in Lititz it would be THE place to go. And today it was! I have to say I was sorely disappointed. I love tomatoes and looked forward to the signature dish, tomato pie. Friends came from out of town and there we went there for lunch. After a wait if about 15 minutes we were seated at a high top table. Generally restaurants ask if a high top is ok- not so here. We were seated and a server took our orders. There were 4 of us and no one asked for extra this, no that or anything unusual. After an unusually long wait 3 of the 4 meals came out and server said to DH, "Yours will be right out." Right out was almost 7 minutes after our meals came out. It's so uncomfortable to eat when one person has nothing in front of him. That was a major strike. Now for the food: friend said her turkey burger was pretty good and her DH said his burger was ok as well. Served on a pretzel bun that looked pretty good and they both came with potato chips. The burgers looked small IMHO. My DH ordered a Monte Cristo. Instead of a battered and fried sandwich it looked like a slice of ham on two pieces of French toast. I didn't taste it but my DH, who doesn't usually complain, told me there wasn't much in it. One slice of ham and he thinks some cheese. And there was a small condiment cup with pancake syrup with it. And potato chips. I ordered the signature dish, tomato pie. I love fresh tomatoes and it just sounded great! The crust was tasty. The very thin egg and cheese layer was good but the tomato layer was so heavy in the oregano that it overwhelmed the taste of the tomatoes. The topping was some kind of cheese that had been baked and was congealed. This was served "with greens and a savory scone" and for an additional $3 and change I ordered carrot fries. The savory scone was a cut wedge of a biscuit that wasn't bad but would have benefitted from some butter, which was not offered or in the table or plate. The carrot fries were a joke- possibly 12 strips of carrot that had been cooked earlier in the day and were limp and cold and looked pretty sad. Probably 1 or 1 and a half carrots in total. And no greens. When the server came with the fourth meal I asked about the salad and she said oh, I'll get it. It came out and the 4 of us laughed. There were possibly 4 little pieces of curly lettuce on a plate. What a joke! I gave 1 star because our friends said their burgers were good. I was so very disappointed. Coffee was never refilled, we waited too long for everything, tables and chairs were way to close together and jammed in, and the food was laughable. I wanted to take photos but my purse was wedged between the chairs and I couldn't get my phone out without making my husband get up. And as it was, every time a server passed between him and a lady seated at the bar she bumped into him. So, no photos, sadly. They won't see us again unless they offer to buy us lunch. read more

Great small town find! I need to stop saying, "I never believed I could find a place with great vegan options in a small town," because Yelp time and time again has shown me the light. The Tomato Pie Cafe oozes charm and healthy vibes. Think: cozy old time corner coffee shop with delicious food, including the namesake (which unfortunately is not vegan)... so Luke's (Gilmore Girls) but instead of huge mugs of boring drip coffee and whatever meaty stuff he served up, there's white peppermint mochas and smokey red beet sliders... and plenty of traditional fare like Luke made, so don't skip this place if that's what you're seeking. No judgements! I just appreciate being able to eat in cute places like this because historically, I'd be ordering a plate of fries at corner coffee shops. At Tomato Pie Cafe those fries would be carrot fries, though! I ordered the cilantro lime bowl, which is a lighter option, and chock full of goodness! This kind of food is both tasty and nourishing. Admittedly, if I were hungrier, I would have needed something to accompany it, as it's a smallish portion, but it was perfect for me that night. At a very affordable 7.85, which is less than an app at most places, it wouldn't be a big deal to order more! Like one of their house made plant burgers! It's BYOB (I'd bring a corkscrew too, not sure if they have one) and they kindly provide glasses. I don't even think there was a cork fee. For once we were prepared and brought wine, which was a good thing because I can't tell you if there's a wine shop nearby. Unless I go back to the wolf sanctuary, which is about 10 minutes from here, I don't know if I'll ever be back... and that kind of makes me sad! There's just something really endearing about the Tomato Pie Cafe. If James Stewart were a restaurant... read more
