I had attempted to phone ahead to see if the Primo Pilgrim was available. I was placed on hold & gave up after 5 minutes. When I arrived I used the restroom & there was no toilet paper. I told the employee, and he said he would let someone know. I tried to use the restroom after having my lunch, but there was still no to. It seems they only keep one roll in the double dispenser, and no additional rolls in the restroom. The Facebook ad stated the Pilgrim is available hot or cold, but I was told only cold at this location. The sandwich was stuffed, pun intended, with meat & stuffing. I was impressed with its size, for a small. The employee asked how the sandwich was. It was very good. This is a nice location, the employee was friendly & attentive to my order. They also had football on TV to watch. Had it not been for the phone issue & I stocked restroom, I would have given 5 stars. read more

Today was my first--and unfortunately my last--time ordering from Primo Hoagies. When I walked in, two employees had their backs turned to me. They clearly saw me enter but continued facing away until I finally spoke up. A young man then asked, "Did you want to order something?" which felt odd given the situation. As I placed my order, he was muttering to himself and said, "Sorry, I'm just tired." The entire interaction felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, my order was incorrect. I asked for no cheese on an Italian tuna hoagie, and apparently that translated to no lettuce, tomato, or onion either. Overall, I was very disappointed with both the service and the food. Walked in here never been here before, place was clean and neat. The girl taking my order was nice but I felt very rushed. I asked if I could get my turkey hoagie toasted and she was very rude about a simple no. It's fine if you can't toast it but you don't have to be rude about it. I walked in to Primos for the first time to try their Buffalo chicken cheese steak. The shop was empty. Eventually an employee came to the register to take my order and asked that I don't order anything hot. I replied "oh you close soon?" Mind you this is 7:05pm on a Thursday night. The employe said "Yes" and I just told him I'll just come back another time then and he replied "like today??" Not sure what he was getting at so I just left. Got to my car and saw their hours and they don't close till 8pm. Was disappointed and probably won't ever return at least not to this location. read more

I really like the flavor and ingredients in the Primo ham & cheese. #1-the rolls could be softer, but they do have a great flavor. #2-I didn't expect to have to rebuild the sub when I got home and opened it. The tomatoes immediately fell out. They apparently were just laid on top of the completed sub. All the meat was in the back of the sub and the front was packed with shredded lettuce. Mayonnaise was on both sides of the roll, which caused the contents to slide out as you ate it. I really feel that more thought should be given to the construction. I ordered a tuna Diablo online and was given a turkey sub. I noticed the mistake after having left the store. When I called to explain there must have been a mistake, I could hear the worker who made it being scolded on the phone (uncomfortable). I was told they would happily remake it for me and if I could come back. I had a newborn with me, so it was not as convenient as I'd imagined. They were kind enough to run it out to my car. Last time I had Primos hoagies was 15 yrs ago and to this date, I still remember how tasty it was. I drove 45 miles to this location and called in advance and talk to Mario. He was such a great help making sure I have a great experience. And I must tell you, it was out of this world....all I can say is that it's THE BEST HOAGIES in PA if not in the USA!!! I am a big Primo Hoagies fan but this is unfortunately not a great location. Ordered a Primo size (around 9 inches) buffalo chicken cutlet - typically my favorite thing to get at Primo. It was $15 for that 9 in sandwich and the chicken cutlets were very fatty. Definitely not worth the price. I also found a piece of plastic wrap in the hoagie where they cut it in half... not a big deal but kind of gross (I should have taken a picture). The staff was nice. I am so saddened to say this, but they just lost a customer. I've been eating Primo hoagies since I lived in south Philly 20 -25 years ago. I was ecstatic when they opened a franchise out here. We've happily ordered many times from them. However, today I couldn't believe how high the prices were... the 'whole' size meatball hoagies used to be $20. They are now $28. There is barely a slice of provolone on my mom's nonna hoagie... she once asked for extra provolone and got 1/2 piece more, for $1. Also, the Primo size hoagies are smaller than they used to be. And what sealed the deal for me... after the sticker shock of my order, there was a tipping screen. WHY???? What is going on that we are tipping in counter service restaurants now? It was an immediate turnoff. I'm so sorry... you are the only people who do a hoagie 'right' around here but I can't afford you anymore. read more

Me, half of my team, and most of the parents got SICK from eating your hoagies. It wasn't JUST the stomach bug it was food poisoning. However, it was only your turkey and ham subs. I would give 5 stars, however no matter how far ahead you call with your order you will always be waiting at least 20 minutes for it to be completed. Went here because it was the Fourth of July, and your options of places that are open are very limited. That being said, I'm glad that we stumbled upon this place. I'm not from Pennsylvania. No, I'm in fact from Texas. We don't have this place where I'm from, but I wish we did. Much better than your typical Subway/Quiznos/Jimmy John's (not knocking those places... They're good in their own ways). This place was just steps above them. Tons of sandwiches and sides to choose from. Like how they have marinated olives and other various items. I ended up getting the Roast Beef & Cheese hoagie. I liked how you could choose your own cheese and weren't forced to get whatever cheese they wanted to serve with it. The smallest size was the best size, but you could go the next size up if you wanted to share with someone. Also got a pickle which was great too. The sandwich was awesome. Called to place an order and disconnected when I called back Will was very short and verged on nasty. If you stop hanging up you'll get help faster. Stopped in here to get some sandwiches to go. We read the reviews and thought this was a nice place to get some authentic hoagies. We were greeted promptly and were quickly able to place our orders. While we waited for our subs, we witnessed what appeared to be a " manager" screaming at all staff right in-front of customers. The staff apparently had some difficulty with an order which was promptly resolved but resulted in a public dressing from this "manager". Our subs were everything but standard. We ordered the egg plant Parmesan and a buffalo chicken cutlet. The eggplant was heavily breaded and tasted like it came from the freezer. It also was garlic filled. The chicken cutlet was soggy and also tasted like it came from the freezer. The food here is standard, nothing like what we were expecting from an authentic hoagie place. Tonight I decided to give it another chance. The hoagies were pretty good. I ordered a whole primo and they didn't cut it. Not as clean as the Lancaster location. My experience was awful this evening. I have the loyalty rewards and I would say I was a regular to the Lititz location since I work near by. Tonight we got the worst order EVER from there!! I paid for Primo hoagies and they made small. It says PRIMO on the receipt. One of the 4 hoagies was also made wrong. The guy who answered the phone was ignorant toward me from the start. He called me a liar on the phone, but then admitted one of the hoagies was wrong. He then proceeded to go over the order again and said I was wrong, they were all PRIMO size hoagies. So, I hung up on him. The guy had the nerve to call my phone 3 times. Two times I just declined the call. The 3rd time I answered and I said "Hello?" and this guy says "Is this the 3 year old that just hung up on me??" I said, ARE YOU SERIOUS??? You just DID NOT call a customer a 3 year old!!!! His response..."OK...then a 2 year old??" To which I handed over the phone to my husband before I lost my mind and let loose on this guy!! My husband listens to this guys's crap for a few minutes more and then hangs up on him. He then grabbed his keys and left to go to Primo's. I'm sorry...but much more than an apology is needed here. I had already intended to call corporate office tomorrow in regards to this. I have NEVER been spoken to like that by an employee of any company any where and I will demand that this dude gets FIRED. We've been to two Primo's locations and the Ocean City, Maryland ranks very high...I'd give it 6 stars if I could, but the Lititz, PA store, that's another story. Due to my need for sodium restriction, I usually get the White Tuna. Unfortunately, it lacked the meat quantity and quality that Primo's is known for. Staff seemed very unenthusiastic and were just going through the motions. I do have a question...the online coupons I receive once in a while are for a Langhorne store or occasionally the Ocean City, MD store. Will these coupon specials be honored at any of the other Primo's locations or only the one listed on the online coupon? Thank you. read more

My husband and I ordered a cheesesteak and a tuna hoagie today. My husband said his cheesesteak was okay. I had the tuna hoagie and it was awful! Roll was hard as a rock and the tuna tasted like it came right out of the can with no added ingredients. I couldn't eat it. I would have given only 1 star but my husband kind of liked his. I keep trying to give this location a chance, but my most recent experience has completely turned me off. Not only were they out of seeded primo size rolls (which would've been fine, would've ordered something different), but they didn't tell us when we ordered. We sat waiting for two hoagies for 30 minutes while others came and left. Finally, one of the two workers realized they had finished our order and never gave it to us. We got home approximately two miles from the store to realize the bread wasn't as ordered, and the sandwiches were soggy from sitting behind the counter. Unbelievable $19.95 for 2 medium size they call it a Primo eggplant Parmesan Heroes. Flavorless and not fresh. Admittedly Frozen. The price of eggplant in general being not a very expensive food I was surprised to see literally too thin slices on my hero? What is that all about?
