They offer cool events, which I appreciate (coming up is plant bingo, July 11!) My coffee was very tasty, and I'm happy to report they have decaf options! Food took a little bit of time to heat up, but it was good. Not great, but good. There's a big roaster, I assume you can watch them while they roast, unless they do it outside of open business hours. Service was just ok. Not unpleasant, but not super-friendly either. I don't need to have anyone go out of their way to engage with me, but I generally like to have a smile, at least. Overall I did enjoy my visit, but at over $50 for 2 coffees and 2 breakfasts (a fritatta, pictured, and a breakfast burrito), this felt like a bit of a splurge.

On that day, one of my closest friends and I were going to Parker, and ever since, Window Coffee Bar has been my favorite place to get coffee. While I am disappointed that the Melrose location will no longer be there, I am very happy that I was able to visit it just one more time on its last day (August 23rd). Regardless of which location I have gone to, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the places are clean and well-organized, and the product remains the same high quality. What I liked about the Melrose location was the neighborhood feeling it provided. While it will be missed, I will never forget the amazing memories, and I look forward to seeing what will happen next with Window Coffee Bar. Even with the Melrose location closing, at least we still have the Camelback and Tempe locations to go to. On the bright side, the Camelback location is less than five minutes away from the Melrose location, so it is convenient. Looking forward to seeing what Window Coffee Bar will do next. :)

The avocado toast had just the right acidity and liveliness from the well seasoned tomato slice on top and everything was extremely fresh. It would be 5 stars if the coffee was any good. The service was a bit slow, but this poor guy had no help - but at least the outdoor space is nice, roomy and has plenty of tables/seating areas wither you're with one person or a group of 6.

The vibe is really nice and chill outside and as you walk in. It is very clean. I love that there was so many different people they're studying and reading and you can tell that there was some groups that were meeting up there for like a book club, and just to have a drink! so it's really nice to know that you can have a little community inside of this nice clean coffee spot! So as I said, I got the mango black tea and it was very strong. I didn't even drink the whole thing you couldn't tell that it was mango. It just tasted like harsh, strong tea, one of the other girls in the group went back up they had to remake her coffee. They said that there was a new employee working there and they were sorry. Which is totally understandable, but at the same time I think each one of us had an uncertain experience with flavor of our drinks where it was like either the coffee was too strong. The tea was too strong unflavored for mine. So the mango black tea is unsweet and normally I love unsweet tea. That's all I get, but this tea just did not do it for me. I give it a four star because of the cleanliness and the workers are sweet and I love the environment, but the product itself I was not impressed with.

Only con is that they use paper cups for dine in rather than mugs.

I'd come back for sure to try their drinks that are actually on the menu, and maybe a bagel! I really can't resist a good locally-owned coffee shop.

The barista was telling me about the ingredients, the syrups and milks they use and when I had my chance I interrupted and said " make this one as spicy as possible, please!!" and she knew what I meant. Without skipping a beat she pulled out the cinnamon and loaded it up all while disappointedly explaining to me that the syrup they use is actually the lesser of two spiced chai syrups offered by the manufacturer and that she was sad to see the other had gone a while ago (RIP even spicier chai latte). C'est la vie; I guess, this was still one tasty chai though. Now we're chatting about the tea and vanilla creamer I use at home, but be sure you use both a packet of Stash double chai as well as one Stash red dragon - it's the mix of both that really seal the deal for an at home chai and then use some of the vanilla oat milk creamer to get that at home chai latte-esq experience. We went our separate ways after giving up our own insights into the world of chai and her handing me the drink I was there for, but I still think about that chai latte from time to time. I spent the next hour or so prattling on with friends, commenting on about how the table fit all of us comfortably and the nice interior space of monorchid was big enough to fit us all without pushing out anyone else. Well, that and the state of world politics and how of course they would all fix everything if only ... Sorry, I dozed off a bit after they went on about fixing things from their current position as "Assistant to the Regional Manager" - or something akin to that title. We smack talked eachothers mommas, but in a respectful way. We challenged each other to feats of strength, but only with our thumbs, what are we barbarians?!? We parted ways in a draw because we will always live to fight another day while sipping a tasty Chai Latte because it's definitly better than your espresso, no the espesso is better, no my refreshing juice is better than both your espresso and chai latte. What really stood out this visit, though, was the service. An employee mentioned that they had accidentally made an extra Churro Coffee and asked if I wanted it. Of course I said yes! They were incredibly sweet, friendly, and genuinely kind throughout my visit, and they even surprised me with a complimentary Tres Leches Cafe sticker. It was such a thoughtful little touch, and I made sure to thank them for it. Then came the bittersweet part. They let me know that this Sunday would be their last day at this location, and I was honestly so bummed to hear that. I had literally just discovered them, and this was already my third visit! It's always a little disappointing when you find a place you really enjoy and then realize you won't have as much time to keep coming back. I've been to the South Phoenix location a few times but it's out of my way and I don't find myself in that area too often. I decided to go inside but they do have a drive-thru available. I appreciated being greeted by a clear "No ICE" sign on the entrance door, rock on. Tres Leches is big on community and supporting everyone, especially those who are more vulnerable and being persecuted. There were similar additional signage inside as well. The barista at the register was friendly and welcoming. I ordered the cafe horchata in an OG size (24 oz), and initially wanted it hot but since their horchata is made cold, I got it with light ice instead. My drink was ready within a few minutes and I was on my way. When I sipped my drink, I only tasted the coffee on top so I used my own straw to mix it with the horchata at the bottom.
