My friend and I stumbled upon this cute little local coffee shop when we were trying to find coffee shops that were walking distance from the art museum! It was a super close 5-minute walk. The inside was really aesthetic and cute! There were little plants on the tables. The barista was super nice, so I'm definitely giving points for good customer service! I ordered an iced honey vanilla latte. It was honestly just sweet enough to where I like it but not too sweet! There's plenty of seating inside, and it looks like it'd be a good place to study. read more

Honey latte is just kind of watery (as someone else mentioned), same with the chai; I've been here a few times but i've not really had anything that makes it a better pick than another shop. The pastries and sodas are a good pick though. Basically anything besides the coffee isn't too bad. I think service is a little slower than other places, but I understand these drinks take time to make. It's very clean and has nice decoration though! read more

The coffee was GREAT! But sadly I was mislead based on their google search. If you look them up on google they have posted that they are pet friendly when they do not in fact have anywhere to sit and enjoy with your furry pet. So just make sure to leave your pets at home! read more

I am on a mission to visit all the coffee shops and I finally visited Giant Coffee. The location is downtown, so it took me a while to find parking nearby. Since it is near the CVS, there was a parking lot that I think it shares with other local businesses. The inside was super quaint and cute. I loved the décor and I especially loved the communal table/benches made out of wood. Since it was the middle of a weekday, there was plenty of seating inside. To drink, both my husband and I ordered iced Honey Vanilla Lattes. They were delicious! They were sweet, but not too sweet. The espresso was well balanced and smooth. Honestly, it was kind of addicting and I'm craving one now! Overall, it's a great place to meet someone or to get some work done. The drinks are good and their pastries look good. If I'm in the area, I'll be back. read more

I really liked this place, if for no other reason than it's not catering ONLY to people who want a neon-colored iced beverage or an enormous over-sweetened milkshake with barely any coffee in it. They have real macchiatos, and their small cappuccinos are close to traditional. read more

My normal taste test coffee (Americano) for a new place went out the window here. Why? I had to try the honey vanilla latte because of all the recommendations from Yelpers. I also had two pastries. OK, maybe I had a fourth of each of the two pastries (which means 1/2 of something, for those who are math challenged), one scone and one crumb muffin. The latter was worth fighting over or going back up to the counter and ordering another, especially at half price because it was after 3 p.m. As for the honey vanilla latte, I understand why everyone raves about it. Definitely have it in a ceramic mug, if you are staying at the place, which is what I did. It was just that right amount of sweetness but not too sweet. Plenty of seating, including four chairs facing outward so the occupants can enjoy the view. The entire glass window seems to open up. What a great concept. read more

Honey Vanilla Latte- 3 words you must say to your barista. Such a beautiful and lovely open space with plenty of seating, just enough near outlets and store front that has the ability to open up completely to the street. If there's nothing better than having coffee with an open store front on a beautiful morning, I don't know what is. The Honey Vanilla Latte is delicious, enjoyable and not too sweet. Just enough coffee and yes, the fact they use Strauss milk made the cup that much more better. It was so good that once I finished my cup, I did think about getting another. Great environment, the service I had was just fine and quick and great coffee. Kind of wish they had a literal Giant coffee size (or mug)- because that's what size I want the next time I grab a Honey Vanilla Latte here! read more

Went in with my gf to enjoy a cup and sat down against the back wall in the corner next to the merchandise shelves, the place was practically empty, maybe 2 other guests but my gf and I were talking, giving each other little peck kisses (not making out and being obnoxious) and the barista comes over and tells us to "knock it off" / "stop kissing each other". I've NEVER been asked this by ANYONE at ANY establishment I've ever been to. I work in fine dining and even if I don't agree with people being extra (which we weren't), it's not polite to ask people to stop being happy. We weren't even in her line of sight for the little barista girl with glasses to come out of her way. I'll never come back. read more

I went for coffee here with three others so that we could enjoy something espresso-like . I had the honey vanilla latte and I was not disappointed. The flavor was rich and the honey added a new dimension to my usual vanilla latte. We arrived at about 3 pm which was also the beginning of Happy Hour when all the pastries are half off. So we also tried a feta cheese and onion scone and a sugary berry muffin that were both yummy. The decor is unusual as it looks as if the decorator started and then decided that it would be too much work to finish so just left it unfinished. If you like concrete and plywood and steam punk, this is your piece of heaven. Definitely an eclectic clientele who come for coffee, wi-fi and maybe the company, especially if there are people there who came for the opportunity to debate over a great cup of coffee. After all the other yelpers recommendations, I tried the honey vanilla latte. My husband has his usual americano. The fruit loop bars looked interesting so we each got one for breakfast. The latte had a good flavor, more honey than vanilla. I wouldn't get it all the time (I'm normally a straight espresso or black coffee drinker), but it was good and I'd recommend to try it. The fruit loop bars were good as well, but half way through I hit a sugar wall. It's a mind trip because you're essentially eating a large rice crispy treat that tastes a little fruity. read more

Hidden gem in Phoenix. Spent the afternoon at the Phoenix Art Museum (which is amazing BTW) across the street. Saw Giant Coffee out of one of the windows and convinced my boyfriend to enjoy a cup of joe with me. We were not disappointed! We came in around 3:30 PM and found ourselves in an industrial beauty of a coffee shop. The exposed brick walls and wood are so beautiful. Kudos to the designer. Since it was after 3:00 PM we indulged in a half price pastry. Don't miss the vegan and GF chocolate chip cookie! It's amaze-balls, I swear there is butter in it... But they reassured me there was not. I also strayed away from my typical americano and ordered an iced honey vanilla latte with oat milk. Sweet and tasty! The ambiance within the shop is quaint but relaxing. A perfect place to get some work done or just enjoy a cup of coffee with your favorite amigo. read more

Been here 3x and have never been satisfied. First time Espresso machine was down (understandable) but these most recent 2 visits were unacceptable. Not only is the coffee just alright AT BEST, the service is always terrible. I have seen several other reviews mentioning rude baristas and I've had the same experience... no greeting, preparing 3 orders before mine for people who walked in after me, monotoned / short replied answers. Honestly disgusted that we spent $17 on 2 mediocre latte's and bs service, hopefully they make some changes as the location itself is actually really nice. read more

Went in today, I asked for a hot green tea "jasmin".. and also got a yogurt parfait- both were to go as this was my lunch break and I was in a hurry. I got back to the office and was so disappointed to find they gave me the minty green tea! Yuk. Also the yogurt was spoiled! Couldn't believe my bad luck :-( I took took a second and third taste just to make sure but yes definitely the yogurt was expired(the lid read 3/14) but I'm 100% sure this was bad yogurt! I threw it out along with the tea. Ten bucks in the trash! Thanks for nothing Booooooooo this totally sucked. The upside was that the coffee house was cute, upon walking in I thought "oh how cute, there's a little boutique even"... first impression was good. So much potential, this was my first and sadly will be my last time visiting this coffee house read more

One of my FAVORITE neighborhood coffee shops. There are so many great things about this place, so I'll start with my top 3 to try to keep it brief. 1) The Lattes - both the honey vanilla latte and the chai latte are perfect! They are not overly sweet and are so smooth and soothing. The chai is a nice level of spice. I also just had a seasonal Ginger Spice latte today which was just what I needed. 2) 50% off pastries after 3pm!! When I was studying for exams, I would come here every day to get out of the house & enjoy a nice treat. My faves are the muffins and the scones. I also had a great vegan strawberry almond bar too. 3) Pups are allowed!!! They have a wide open work environment & I can bring my dog to keep me company on long study days. The lighting is ideal & the music is on point. Plus all of the employees are friendly and so welcoming to my pup. I live just around the corner from Giant, and it will definitely remain in my most frequented coffee shops while I'm living in DTPhx. My only request is that they bring back the rewards program! As someone who comes here frequently, I would love a little perk every now and then read more

I really wanted to check out Giant Coffee for some time. Main reason, the Honey Vanilla Latte. The pictures others have posted with the name, still make me drool. So I finally was in the area and made the stop. Interior was very inviting with plenty of room to sit. I unfortunately was in a hurry and just ordered my latte to go. The only staff member available at the time put the drink in my hand so fast. Very impressed. As for the drink, very smooth and lightly sweet. I did enjoy it. Not sure of 5 star drink but dang good. I would visit again and try more options. read more

My first time coming to giant coffee and I thought it was a very cute spot. The coffee was very good. It wasn't extremely out of this world amazing but absolutely enjoyable!! For two cold brews my fiancé and I spent about $8 which I also thought was reasonable for a good cup of coffee. There is also the cutest boutique inside that is to die for! Overall, lovely friendly staff members, great location, and awesome aesthetic. read more

[Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The first time I ordered it unsweetened was accidental, but trying it without sweetener or flavor was what made me realize that their matcha may be the best I've ever had. I've also had their Mas matcha latte and it is also absolutely delicious and simple and still allows me to taste the matcha through the vanilla and sweetness. I've been to other places that serve Kettl matcha, but none have tasted nearly as rich as Futuro's. The atmosphere itself is true to its name. It is futuristic, simple, and beautiful. It is full of unique art pieces of all types, and they sell their coffees and teas as well. I feel at peace inside and they always have vibey music playing at a perfect volume and incense lit. The service itself is one of a kind and makes me feel like I'm at a 5-star restaurant. They bring your items out on a beautiful tray and will always serve your drink with a cup of water on the side if you order it for here. They will even package your food up for you, which I would never expect from a coffee shop. It can be busy at times with a bit of a wait because the drinks are all made one at a time, but it's always worth the wait. The place isn't very big but has plenty of seating given the space. For working from home, they do have wifi but limited outlets. Their pastries served from a local bakery are also delicious.

The ambiance, drinks, and service were all great! There is an entrance to Lola Coffee from Roosevelt and another from the back near parking spaces. There is a restroom near the back entrance, and the start to the line to place an order is right near the front entrance. I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. While I had trouble choosing between a lemonade for a cold beverage or hot chocolate for a warm beverage, it's great they have so many options. Again, try them for drinks, breakfast, or pastries. This is probably the best coffee shop in town if you want to be disappointed. I come here everyday after school, and today I and many other kids were kicked out as well. This group of students bring most of their business after school and in the morning. Some days I don't have $5 to buy a brownie, so I use random change to get a dollar donut at cvs. What does Giant Coffee do? Kick me out. Honestly my review is, it's just another crappy coffee shop that has nasty coffee and okay brownies. The workers are jerks, the people inside think they are hipsters (and are usually rude to students as well), and I have no respect for any of them. That's my review. I love that there was so many different people they're studying and reading and you can tell that there was some groups that were meeting up there for like a book club, and just to have a drink! so it's really nice to know that you can have a little community inside of this nice clean coffee spot! So as I said, I got the mango black tea and it was very strong. I didn't even drink the whole thing you couldn't tell that it was mango. It just tasted like harsh, strong tea, one of the other girls in the group went back up they had to remake her coffee. They said that there was a new employee working there and they were sorry. Which is totally understandable, but at the same time I think each one of us had an uncertain experience with flavor of our drinks where it was like either the coffee was too strong. The tea was too strong unflavored for mine. So the mango black tea is unsweet and normally I love unsweet tea. That's all I get, but this tea just did not do it for me. I give it a four star because of the cleanliness and the workers are sweet and I love the environment, but the product itself I was not impressed with.

The coffee shop has plenty of seating available and an inviting atmosphere. It felt like the perfect place to settle in and get some work done, or sit back with a good book and enjoy a coffee for a while. The overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. I ordered the Sweet Treat Latte with oat milk, and it was delicious. Something I would definitely order again. Overall, this was a great stop, and it's definitely a place I would return to in the future.
