Way more expensive than it should be. As part of my move-I needed a 12 ft trampoline either moved to my new house or broken down and left for bulk trash pick up. I was told that this would "take at least 2 more hours" with 3 movers which would cost $200 (at the very least). I hired one handyman on TaskRabbit who did the entire job in less than one hour and it cost $22. read more

Thanks to Yelp reviews I found these guys. I live alone and was nervous about hiring a moving company. The first thing they did was send me a picture and biography of the estimator who would be contacting me which made me feel secure. They arrived exactly on time and worked quickly. I would have given them 5 stars except they re-assembled my trundle bed incorrectly and I am still trying to get it fixed. My current roommates and I hired Derek and his team at Get Your Move On to help us with our move at the end of August this year. When I explained to him that we were combining 3 houses into 1, he was a little taken aback at first. He explained that this would be a long day of moving due to the several stops they had to make to pick up furniture. Once we agreed upon all terms, I received an email stating that the reservation was made, the time was noted, and the addresses of the 3 houses and final destination was listed. On the day of the move, I received a phone call prior to the moving team arriving letting me know their ETA. Upon arrival, the team took an initial inventory of what was going in the truck and immediately went to work. We had a team of 3 helping us out. They each took a room and started wrapping all furniture with furniture blankets and then with shrink wrap to ensure the blankets would protect the furniture. This process repeated itself at each stop and we were actually able to fit everything (surprisingly) into their truck. Their team was completely professional and polite. They also knew what they were doing and were able to showcase that with the packing of the truck and the care that they took with each individual piece of furniture. Upon arrival of the final house, to unload, these 3 guys who had been working all day in the 105+ degrees all day started to unload the truck like it was their first run of the day. Energetic and ready to go, they finished the job with a smile on their face. I highly recommend Get Your Move On to help with anyone's move and will refer them out for sure! If you're looking for the cheapest movers to move your stuff, Derek and his team aren't going to be your pick. Outstanding! This company favors their guest relations over everything! I had an oddball situation with these guys but in the end it turned out great, I payed LESS than what I was originally even quoted. I scheduled an appointment with Get Your Move On about two weeks before our move, and somehow they accidentally lost our appointment. We did not find out they lost our appointment until moving day, and luckily we were only moving a 1 bedroom apartment with big furniture. I called and in less than an hour management found a solution to the problem. Originally they were to come between 7:30AM - 8AM, they managed to get there at about 10AM because he took two guys from another job and gave us a free extra hand to pack up! Seriously that saved us about $55 for the extra person and they got the job done FAST! They wrapped every single thing in wrap or pads. We finally got to our destination which was about 45 minutes away. They were kind and unloaded the entire truck quickly. Unfortunately one of our pieces of furniture was damaged, and they were going to go home and fix the problem by doing the full report. So we finally went inside and were hanging around for 20 minutes. Then, after we expected they were gone they come back to have me speak to the manager. The manager took care of the issue IMMEDIATELY he did not want to wait until they got back to do the damage report. He gave us a very fair discount one I was happy enough to either fix the furniture myself or repair it. Impeccable and accurate. These guys are the best thing in town. They are not like Two Men and a Truck, they are premium movers they move high quality high value items. And they made this a super easy move even when I was in the middle of my midterm week! I wish I could give 10 stars!! I know it's a cliche but its so true. These guys ABSOLUTELY ROCK!! I had Arturo, Jordan and Matthew and couldn't have been happier with all 3. From the first phone call to GYMO to the final paperwork, outstanding service. The guys rocked it at a seemingly (for me at least) complex move in a 2 story apartment, downtown with a very skinny spiral staircase. The were able to move a heavy bulky dresser up that staircase with ease! And 0 complaints. I actually told them to not worry about it, but they insisted!! Amazing. I only wish we would have recorded them so I could post the video. My friends gave them a standing ovation!! The guys were accommodating, respectful, friendly, super hard working... Without question the best movers I've ever used. I made the apt a few days in advance over the phone and was given a quote plus 2 hour window. They showed up 10 min early and the final price was spot on by the way. It could've easily been more by the way. Was "mostly prepared" for the move. These guys worked non stop from start to finish. Even helped me finish packing. My furniture was carefully layered with moving blankets then shrink wrap. I had a few pieces of art they paid special attention to. Honestly it's everything I wanted from a moving company. Sadly, it's the service I've never received from their competitors. I would definitely recommend them for any moving job large or small. I went online to search for a good moving company, to move me into a new home, from a storage locker. I had a bad experience with the company that moved me previously from not checking them out thoroughly. This company was listed on yelp as a top one, and I looked at the comments and looked online. They did a top notch job end to end, from my first contact--online thru Yelp--to their immediate follow-up by phone. They sent someone out to my storage locker to meet me (scheduled) and gave me a quote and told me what to expect. They met every expectation, their quote was accurate, they were on-time and professional, and the movers did an efficient quality job on the move. I was happy with the whole process. Good service at a good price. You had the option to pay by check or credit card--they do charge a higher fee for credit card but they tell you that up front. The manager communicated with me, and I got reminders. Also, my closing on my house was delayed 3 times, and so this move got changed with short notice. The company was responsive and flexible and moved me right on time, at 8AM the morning after my house recorded at 4:50PM the day before. Top marks. read more

I used them because of a groupon I purchased. I thought they were a bit expensive esp since I was moving less than five miles. Not sure if they charged more because of the groupon? Other than that they were great. Arrived right on time were very fast and efficient, unlike others I have hired. They actually worked together to be quick. The guys were very nice. These guys were fantastic - they explained the pricing well - gave me the appropriate discount as I actually found them on Angies list. I was using them to fill a POD and then unload it once the POD came out of storage again. The guys - Gilbert and Ben were amazing - filled the POD really carefully - Gilbert treated it like a puzzle. They brought all the supplies we needed since we were using them to unload the POD as well they would get what was theirs back. When it came to unloading the POD, they sent the same guys, which was amazing as they remembered us and our stuff and knew how everything went back together again. We were also moving into a condo complex and GYMO does all the moves for the developer so knew exactly the set up here, which also saved us time. Our only problem was with PODs who did not deliver the POD when they should of, but GYMO, worked around this and did there best to save us as much money as they could. If we ever move again (which I doubt) I was use them again, but in the meantime I would recommend them to everyone. They are not the cheapest, but remember folks you get what you pay for ! read more

I even had to go back for something they left behind (the remainder of the shrink wrap, that I paid for). We have used this company twice for our moves around the valley. Once in March 2011 and once in August 2013. These guys move well and they move fast. It was amazing to just sit back and watch the house empty in a matter of hours. Worst. Moving. Company. Ever. I have moved many times locally and long distance so I have a lot of experience in moving. This is the worst company I have ever experienced. And I can say that this is the worst company not just amongst moving companies. They have no concept of customer service. Derek Greene, the owner, is a total jerk. He yelled at me and threatened me. His staff has no regard for your belongings. I moved out of a 3200 square foot house and they showed up with one small truck. That's a total joke. They had no idea how to move someone out of a large house. They packed my belongings very badly to put in their storage. When they gave me an inventory list half my house was not on the list. Then they gave me another list after they unloaded their truck and it had different things missing than the first list. When I pointed this out they told me I was a crazy customer. I have never gotten all my belongings back nor have I ever received compensation for the missing belongings even though I sent them a list letting them know what was missing. They trashed the house I moved out of and when I complained Derek told me he would not charge me for the move. But he is a total liar. Even though I have it in writing that he would not charge me he refused to honor that and he held my belongings hostage until I paid him in full. This is an unethical moving business practice. There are so many better companies than this one. This one is unethical, lies, and treats customers poorly. Many more bad things happened with this company but there are just too many to write in this review. My advice is to stay FAR AWAY from this business. There are tons of other moving companies that will treat you and your belongings like gold instead of trash. read more

I was very impressed overall with Get Your Move On. from the advanced email notifications about who is coming to estimate/move, to the fun friendly movers they sent to do the job. they were clean professional and worked their butts off. they took unexpected care of our fragile items and packed everything very well. From beginning to end our move was a breeze with Juan and David! We moved in July and the heat was the typical 110 out. They came ready to work and never stopped or complained once. This company moved us from San Tan Valley, AZ, to Prescott Valley, AZ, in September, 2014. Most of the move went well. When we hit a few rough spots and some damages, the owner, Derek, stepped in immediately, kept his word on all repairs, and stuck to the original moving estimate - even though it was off by a more than small amount.
