Run don't walk away from this moving company as fast as you can! They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. They will make all kinds of promises but delivering on them is another thing. They actually dropped my furniture down the stairs, professional movers really? They broke other things came by to look at them and then never fixed anything. After multiple emails and two visits two the home, I have no results. I have moved many times and accidents do happen but the reason they get such a low rating is they don't follow through on what they say they are going to do. It has been over six months since I wrote a very negative review on Get Your Move On but this week has restored my faith in my fellow man. Early in the week I received a call from the owner of Get Your Move On, saying that he had seen my review and had asked his staff to follow up on it last year. Unfortunately, he was not aware that they had not. We talked on the phone for about 10 minutes and after I explained all of the things that I experienced, he told me he was going to refund the entire cost of my move! I did not really think too much about it and it was one of those " I will believe it when I see it" moments. Well yesterday, I saw it. A check arrived in the mail that refunded the entire cost of my move. You never hear of a company doing this, let alone six months after they have your money and everyone has moved forward to other things. Mistakes happen but we seem to live in a society now where no one accepts responsibility for their mistakes. Having anyone, let alone a business, admit that they messed up is so refreshing. I am really grateful that he took the time to listen and I will definitely be using them again. read more

I was able to book GYMO fairly quickly, with just a two or three day notice. My job was small, just a fridge, a bed, a desk, and some bookcases. Chris and Chad showed up 15 minutes early and got straight to it. I warned them that the bed would be a pain, because it is a latex mattress. But it didn't phase them. They hefted it down three flights of stairs and into the truck. (Although by the time they were at ground level, they admitted humorously that it was a bigger pain than they expected.) My fridge was tricky, because of the water line. I didn't expect them to do any plumbing, and their boss told them not to mess with it too. But we figured it out quickly together and got everything packed up and moved across town. I cannot stand the process of moving, but I actually had fun with these two dudes helping out. We talked about sports and other stuff while we worked. It made the experience so much better. I never felt like they were just trying to get it over with. They were friendly and helpful...the kind of guys you'd like to go watch a football game with. I would recommend this company to anyone in Phoenix who needs to move. They moved me from Tempe to Buckeye, so distance isn't an issue either. From the girl who answered to the phone to communications with the president of of the company, Derek, they were all great to work with. Today I was able to see what everyone is talking about on this site about this company. After going through my move today, I can see why everyone is giving them "5 Stars." The crew (Jose, Jovi, and Chad) was very professional. They arrived 10 minutes early, discussed a game plan on how to move everything out in quick and timely manner but also making sure everything was packed correctly, then went to work. They even offered to take down my King Size bedroom set and re-assemble it at the new place. I didn't take them up for their offer, but I guess I could have done that. What really blew me away, was how they were so mindful of my neighbors in my apartment community while moving everything into the truck. I lived on the 2nd floor and I have a ton of heavy furniture and this was an 8am move. When I first moved in, I had to move everything myself. I felt bad for my neighbors because there was a ton of banging on the stairs and walls until I got everything moved in. This time around, I never once heard of any banging or rattling noise whatsoever during the entire move. I was also impressed on how the crew shrink-wrapped all the furniture and packed everything into the truck. Kudos to you guys. I absolutely will use you guys again in the near future and also refer to all my friends and family members that need anything moved. read more

We bought and closed on a new home very quickly and found we needed a mover within a couple of weeks. After reading the many positive reviews about Get Your Move On, I contacted the company to get information. Derek, the owner, returned my call within minutes and was very accommodating. Within 2 days Pablo was in our home to give us a complete and accurate estimate. Pablo was excellent in explaining our options, breaking down costs so that we could see where we could save ourselves some money, and all in all was very professional. After securing a couple of other bids, we decided on Get Your Move On. I'm so glad we did! The day before the move we received an email from Derek that provided pictures and a brief bio of each member of our moving crew. That was very reassuring and welcome. The crew showed up exactly on time and did an amazing job. Each member of the crew (Kevin, Brandon, Chad, and Jovi) was very professional and service minded. They accomplished our entire move in less than 7 hours which my husband and I thought was amazing. Only good things to say about Get Your Move On. Get Your Move On company n moving guys are excellent! The guys were polite, courteous, n focused on moving in a timely manner yet careful of furniture n boxes alike. Sigh! Nice breath out! Ahhh. They enjoyed each other while working n were friendly with us. Food n drink definitely helped the guys smile big! I highly recommend them if moving long or even short distances as I did! Great to work with n they really want to know how their company n employees did their job for you. Reassured me along the way with sending pictures of who was going to be working for me n info on them, as well. These guys moved the contents of two storage units and one bedroom into a garage and second floor apartment for my roommate and I back in November 2013. This included many boxes, bags, a bedroom set, and piano. The moving crew was punctual, personable, and courteous. They didn't waste time. We began the morning at a storage unit on Kyrene and Elliot. Then emptied the unit at Ray between S 39th and S 40th. Then emptied the bedroom and removed the piano from the house in Ahwatukee. Got everything over to the apartment unit and deposited items either in the garage or second-floor apartment. All in two hours and 15 minutes. Truly excellent work. All the furniture items were wrapped and secured. These guys knew what they were doing. And the company owner Roger coordinated all this with me between Wednesday-Thursday for a move that Sunday. I needed to move some furniture from my house to my mother's and from her house to mine. A contractor who was doing some work at my mother's house suggested I contact Derek (owner), Get Your Move On. After checking the company out on Yelp and the Get Your Move On website, I e-mailed Derek. Within a half hour I received a response from him. We spoke on the phone and made the arrangements. The day before, Derek e-mailed me the names and photos of the guys who would be doing the move. On move day, Clint, Erick and Matt showed up at my house. They took the items from my house, drove 18 miles to my mother's house, unloaded the truck, then loaded the truck up and drove back to my house to unload. This crew was very professional, extremely careful with the furniture and did they hustle. No wasted motion at all. Without a doubt, the best move experience I have ever had. I found GYMO on the internet and they are by far, as good as it gets. I had Derek and his team move me a few months back and have never had a more pleasureable moving experience. I have never seen a knowlegeable, profesional group of movers from top to bottom...and I've use a few other companies before. From Derek coming out personally to estimate my move (better than fairly priced!), to Pablo and Mona showing up on time, "pad and shrink wrapping" my valuables and handling them as if they were their own, I felt very comfortable leaving all of my possessions in their hands. Their website is also easy to use and will detail not only their level of service, but will even introduce you to the people who will be moving your furniture so that you don't feel like you are welcoming strangers into your home. These professionals make moving a pleasant experience. The polite men took extra care to make sure all of our belongings arrived at the new location in exactly the same condition as they left our home. Many, many objects were wrapped with extra care. The crew arrived on time and were not rushed to do a less than perfect job. They were easy to work with when it came to special objects. They were cautious and were careful to adhere to covid standards. Here was where they went above and beyond-they worked to make sure the objects were put in the best place in the new rooms. They moved objects around until we had the best arrangement.They did not "drop and dash!" They are so patent! Very reasonable and good pricing too. First let me say that these guys were amazing. they gave me a quote of 6 guys, two trucks and 8 hours and let me tell you it was exactly what they said it was. and as far as the team goes, a shout out to all of them: Austin, Javier, Kevon, Malik, Michael and Jesus were AMAZING, They were helpful and fast and were pleasant even though out teenagers did a horrible job of prepping for them. Get Your Move On might not be dance company, however when the guys come out it feels like you are watching a beautifully choreographed dance with how swiftly they get things done. You can tell that they have been professionally trained with the techniques they use and their overall professionalism. I've been moved twice by GYMO and have never been let down. I am never prepared to move and always have a million things I'm scrambling to do and figure out, but the guys are so sweet and calming and assure you that everything will work out, and it does! This company truly goes above and beyond. If you care at all about your hard earned furniture and belongings, I wouldn't look anywhere else. We were referred to Get Your Move On as we were in a difficult situation. Our purchase was delayed and there was a gap between our sale and our purchase. Derek and his team had to come back out an requote and make numerous accommodations for us. Our closing was pushed several times and Derek and his team was with us every step of the way. This does not even mention the professional staff who picked up our stuff and delivered without a hitch. I cannot recommend Get Your Move on enough. If you do not utilize this company for your moving needs, you are making a HUGE mistake. There is not a comparable company that I have encountered in my 13 years in the business. We've moved 9 times in the last 30 years - long and short distances - and this was hands down the best moving experience and most professional move we have ever had. We had some very special "one of a kind" irreplaceable pieces we were concerned about. NOTHING was damaged, broken, scratched or even nicked! They were efficient, careful, and got the job done in the time they estimated at the price they quoted even with a few things added to the original list. Previous moving experiences with reputable, large, well-known companies resulted in minor to major damages, loss of items, and breakage. We were downsizing from 3500 sq. ft. to 2400 sq. ft. and choose GYMO after reviewing the BBB's web site. In calling three companies GYMO was the only one who was interested enough to come out and determine how best to handle our circumstances. We had a lot of antiques that needed special care and Derek assured us they would be treated properly. The 6 man crew were all polite and knew their jobs well. They worked hard the entire time which we appreciated. We had a couple of minor scratches which GYMO handled quickly by sending out their wizard of repair and stain matching Dan Montano. The crew did a fabulous job! I hired them because of the great reviews and the actually lived up to it. Only a couple of small issues with the move. One minor furniture "injury" and lost 4 wheels off a tea cart. But we had a move that took more than one full truck, so that is much better than the last company we used. They showed up on time, were very friendly, worked hard and did a stellar job. The unloading two months later with a different crew went equally well. Their estimate was a bit low as to how much time it would take and how big a truck they would need, as was their estimate on how much storage I would need for several months. They moved us into our current home and we were scheduled to move after the holiday's. We thought our kids wanted to spend one last Christmas in our old home. As a Professional Organizer who specializes in unpacking in the Nashville area, I had the pleasure of unpacking a client who was packed and moved by Get Your Move On. In 12 years, I have never seen such a thorough and professional packing job. Antique china, crystal, glassware, etc. all were perfectly wrapped and undamaged during the unpack. Our client also mentioned how professional and helpful they were on her end, and I did meet a few of the movers who unloaded the trucks - all were extremely polite, helpful and hard workers from what I could tell. While we did not work with them for the first part of move, being on the receiving end was terrific - I wish all movers could pack like this! read more

Not everything about our move went smoothly. Actually, a lot of it went horribly wrong. But most of what went wrong wasn't the fault of anyone at Get Your Move On. And the folks at GYMO did everything they could to make things go well, to keep us happy, and to fix what mistakes they made. To me that's how a company earns five stars. It's easy to do the right thing when things go smoothly. But GYMO took care of us even when things were rough or down right disasters. They went above and beyond what I asked of them.
