Probably even more critical if you work for a storage facility. Moving trucks are not easy to maneuver and especially around busy intersections. I didn't set up the rental and had never been there. I was helping a friend from out of state get his mom moved. Nobody I was with knew which side of the street the facility was on. I called the location to verify the cross streets and then asked apparently the most frightening question of all... which corner are you located .... Dead silence but she retrieved a map .... After a couple of minutes looking she said Northeast corner..... nope!!! Close though !!! Anyway hopefully the managers will read this and make sure those who answer the phones know exactly where the facility is located. The young lady was very nice.

Since then, the company has repeatedly applied "market rate" increases, and my monthly rate has now climbed to $452.00 for the same outdoor unit at an older facility. I have called multiple times requesting a rate adjustment. Each time I was told increases are based on market conditions, yet the increases continue. What makes this even more difficult to understand is that I currently rent a larger, newer, climate-controlled indoor unit nearby for $275 per month. It is hard to justify paying significantly more for an older, outdoor space. The pricing structure feels inconsistent and excessive. Long-term customers should not be penalized with continual increases that far exceed comparable local options. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company.

I had previously setup and paid for my unit online which was a breeze and didn't require me to go into the office which is cool. I wanted to get the run down anyway which Angel was awesome at. She told me the location as well as provided a map and best path to get to my unit. I still screwed up by going up and extra level but was blown away by how dialed in their facility was. Like if I dropped a delicious Rolo chocolate on the ground, I'd totally still eat it. The facility itself, as well as the elevator is key code protected and you will even need to use the code to leave which was awesome. When I finally got to the unit itself was spacious, bigger than I thought it would be based on the dimensions and I even liked the construction, leaving no large gaps or spaces that would allow passage into other units, after all we are looking for a SECURE storage unit for peace of mind. All on all, very happy with Angel, Extra space and the facility they maintain. 10/10! Pm

I immediately paid the remaining balance as instructed. At that point, my account reflected a zero balance and was paid in full for the month of January. Despite this, I later received notices claiming the same $77.35 was still owed. When I spoke with the on-site manager Joanne, and later Brody, I was told the refund was "pending corporate processing" and that they lacked authority to correct it. I was assured everything was fine and that the credit would post. However, this statement was false. Since corporate had already issued the refund on January 5, 2026, the only way the balance could reappear is if an authorized facility employee accessed my account and reversed the credit manually. I had repeatedly requested a return call from District Manager Eric Camarillo, no one responded! While continuing to represent that they were "waiting on corporate," a lien notice was issued against my unit and I was threatened with auction. I was forced to pay $360.00 under threat of losing my personal property -- even though my account for January had already been paid in full. These actions constitute: Consumer fraud by deception,False representation of account status, Wrongful lien, Coercion under threat of loss and unjust enrichment. This matter is a violation of the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act (A.R.S. § 44-1522) and related consumer protection statutes. The conduct described above reflects intentional misrepresentation, concealment of material facts, and coercive practices designed to fabricate a debt and force payment under threat of property loss.

I have had several storage units over the years at different places. Armored Self Storage, is the absolute best I have ever done business with. They always go out of their way to help you . The staff and the owner are such nice people. The facility is clean and they provide trolleys to take from your vehicle to your unit . Please make sure to return them inside. The Very best thing is, it is air-conditioned inside. It is actually nice and cool and they play nice music over the PA SYSTEM. The great thing about having air-conditioned storage, is that your items don't get ruined ,they don't get cooked in 120° heat . You can even rent a moving van from them . So you can bring your things to the storage unit if you need to. At one time I had rented 3 units at once. The more you have rented, the better rate they will give you. I rented from them for about seven years . I had payments taken from my card each month. It was hassle free. If you live in Tempe or the area ,and you need storage . I believe this is the best place you'll find .

They went out of their way to offer help, sometimes before I even had to ask! The manager is who I saw most often and he remembered me by name and my unit number. He asked about the friends and roommates I had that had visited there with me asked how they were doing and stuff even if he had only seen them with me and never spoke to them directly! I was blown away by how personalized our interactions were and it made me feel a lot safer somehow. When we were first getting the unit he broke down the agreement into simple easy to understand terms, explained all the policies/fees in depth, and still got the whole process done and the keys in my hand in less than 15 minutes. The place is air conditioned and temperature controlled. There is a huge freight-sized elevator with covered/lightly padded walls to take you to each floor. They have free mattress dollies, carts and furniture dollies you can use for free, no questions asked, as long as you put them away. The building and every hallway was always always clean, no Trash, no dust, nothing just laying around. The bathroom is large but only one person can use it at a time. It was always clean and well stocked and never really had a bad smell. You can make your payments online, (with no extra fee!) which is a big plus to me since I would hate to have to drive down there every month to pay in person. We never saw any bugs, mice or, other vermin anywhere at all on the property. When I got my things unpacked, I double-checked and there were no bugs anywhere. Not even silverfish or crickets! There is a soda vending machine, a water fountain and they also sell bottled water if you forgot to bring a drink. My only complaint is that I wish they were open for more hours especially on weekends, at least until 9 like the majority of businesses in the valley, but I get it. They have a small staff. They are open 7 days a week which is awesome! We had one really bad day on move in and we were stuck there after closing and the manager was very understanding and courteous and worked with us, not against us. At every opportunity, any time something went wrong (throughout my entire 8ish month stay), he went out of his way to be flexible and patient and try to lighten the mood. I will happily come back to this Armored Storage any time I move and will recommend to everyone I know who's looking for a secure, temp controlled place with great customer service and reasonable prices.
