On January 5, 2026, I contacted Public Storage's corporate customer service line (1-800 number). The representative confirmed that the two late fees totaling $77.35 were reversed in the system. I immediately paid the remaining balance as instructed. At that point, my account reflected a zero balance and was paid in full for the month of January. Despite this, I later received notices claiming the same $77.35 was still owed. When I spoke with the on-site manager Joanne, and later Brody, I was told the refund was "pending corporate processing" and that they lacked authority to correct it. I was assured everything was fine and that the credit would post. However, this statement was false. Since corporate had already issued the refund on January 5, 2026, the only way the balance could reappear is if an authorized facility employee accessed my account and reversed the credit manually. I had repeatedly requested a return call from District Manager Eric Camarillo, no one responded! While continuing to represent that they were "waiting on corporate," a lien notice was issued against my unit and I was threatened with auction. I was forced to pay $360.00 under threat of losing my personal property -- even though my account for January had already been paid in full. These actions constitute: Consumer fraud by deception,False representation of account status, Wrongful lien, Coercion under threat of loss and unjust enrichment. This matter is a violation of the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act (A.R.S. § 44-1522) and related consumer protection statutes. The conduct described above reflects intentional misrepresentation, concealment of material facts, and coercive practices designed to fabricate a debt and force payment under threat of property loss. read more

The main roll up pull in gate is always out of service so you have to use side entrance and move in the heat if you are planning on moving spring/summer time. Rate was good for the first 4 months then went up by $20 when I though the special was good for 6. After 12 months they now want close to $100 which is 2.5x what I initially signed up for. So, if you want sudden and drastic rate hikes by all means this will be the place for you. read more

I've been using this storage facility for over 2 years and for the past 6 months they haven't managed to fix the entrance or exit gate. So you have to use the side entrance, which also gets stuck and broken. The best part is when you get inside, the dollies or carts aren't in the spot where they are supposed to be. I had a crew of movers let me borrow their cart because Public Storage can't even manage to collect their carts and put them back for their customers. What makes this even better is they just raised the price to $300 a month. I'm moving my stuff out of there because the storage facility within a mile of this one is about $150 cheaper. In two years they've raised the cost of my unit by $130 and the gate has been broken for over a year. So imagine trying to move a sofa in, you gotta go track down the cart, only to find out the wheels are broken. So you drag a broken back outside and have to move everything through a single door, that closes and requires you to put in your PIN code every time. You might ask yourself, "Why wouldn't a moving company fix their doors, since it's essential for a moving truck to get inside?". Well my friends the answer is because they've been waiting on parts overseas. For an entire year they haven't bothered trying to fix a door. They could find a contractor on Yelp and fix it, but nope they're cheap: Don't use this storage facility, they raise their prices and make the experience worse for their clientele. I was renting a 10 x 20 storage locker at this property before Public Storage acquired them late in 2020. Since taking over, rates have increased and property cleanliness has decreased. Lights are out, walls are damaged, and the former abundance of moving carts has gone away. The last time I was there, the rear roll-up door was stuck in the open position, so security is also reduced. And the rate increases are eye-popping. They just sent a notice that my rates, which went up 20% upon their takeover, are going up another 25%. I do not recommend this location. I do not recommend this company. read more

Had to store items quickly and used the online system to reserve a unit for the next day. Received a call shortly after from the Tempe location on Priest Dr. to confirm the reservation. The next day at opening, Christina was able to quickly and smoothly get all the move in paperwork completed and answered all our questions. She was thorough, professional and made sure that we knew about all our options and fees upfront. The facility was clean and well lit and well maintained. Curtis gets a 5 star for being professional and helpful. The 3 star rating is for the facility, specifically the loading dock area and the lack of close access into the actual building. If the loading doors were working it would have made the move easier and less time. read more

Since Public Storage took over, the facility has deteriorated significantly. The pull thru garage doors are broken and have not been repaired. The carts are missing and we are noticing a lot of insects and roaches. We have complained to the staff, but they haven't correct d the issues. read more

The place was great when I first moved my belongings here 6 months ago. It's gone down hill since. The main reason I chose this place was because of the drive up loading and unloading through the doors. They have been broken for weeks! No one is ever in the office during office hours. The place is dirty, and smells bad. There's always strange people always here that I think are living in there unit. I use this unit as a part of my business so I am in and out regularly. Please fix the doors and clean the place up or I will be looking elsewhere. read more

Just moved to Michigan to Arizona in July. It was record breaking heat 115 degree for a week., thought I was going to have a heat stroke. I had a couple guys help me with transferring my belongings to a 10x10 storage. Come to find out it wasn't big enough and we needed another until next to the one we already had. It was after five so the office was close. When I called the 1800 number they told me I would have to speak to someone in the office to transfer into a larger unit. I had already sweated five pound off by this time. So I knocked on the door where the manager lived and even though it was after five, Dave came to the rescue. God us into a larger unit and was so helpful and understanding.. we had left there and forgot to put the lock on the storage unit. Dave the Manager noticed and used on of his own locks until I was able to come back a week later. I just want to say this was the best costumer service I could of ever asked for.. I concur with Gage, what a JOKE. What the hell happened here? The MOMENT Public Storage took over this site has turned into a broken, dirty, shit hole. The people are NEVER in the front office, the overhead door has been broken for MONTHS! I am strongly, strongly considering a small claims suit to recoup my rental payments back to the date of the Public Storage take over. I have been to the FIVE TIMES to speak with the front office. On every single occasion, the 'we'll be back sign' is up AND EXPIRED. I think people are clocking in and heading to the bar. Nobody is EVER on site and it shows. Although the online quote for a 10X15 climate controlled second floor unit is $177/mo, May 1 the price charged will be $331.45/mo. I am a long time tenant but they keep charging more every year. Also, my storage unit was broken into and the lock had to be changed. Needless to say, I have come up with another option. Avoid this company. read more

I was so grateful that she showed me where my unit was. This is my first time ever using a storage unit and I was very impressed.

This is the worst storage place i have ever went to , the manager Connie is rude and disrespectful she doesn't want to do her job when it all comes down to it. My storage amount owed for payed and she didn't want to unlock my storage and it was still time to do so because the place wasn't closed yet . On top of that she does not know how to deal with frustrated customers she yells , becomes very irate and screams to the top of her lungs telling me she's not answering my questions and i can look at the door to see when they open and i can get out. Ontop of that she was very rude with the way she spoke to my mother when my mother asked her what was owed because she was paying then when i said i would be reporting her to corporate she told me good luck with that and also said some disrespectful things as we walked out of the door . She doesn't deserve to be in any manager position or even doing customer service because she doesn't have any great customer service she failed that test when she became rude and disrespectful any other job she would have been fired she definitely needs to be held accountable for her actions i will be filing a more detailed complaint with corporate because she doesn't deserve that job give it to someone who actually knows how to deal with customers in public. read more

Your valuable items would be much safer left if you left them in any parking lot of anyplace of your choosing here in Phoenix! BEWARE OF EVERYTHING AT PUBLIC STORAGE! You will pay for insurance that will depreciate every single valuable item down to ZERO dollars. We were robbed due to a person that was LIVING IN A STORAGE UNIT INSIDE THE FACILITY. They stole approximately $15,000.00 of our valuable personal property, and after having paid every month for an insurance policy we were offered $250.00 to settle the claim. This is public record filed with the Tempe Police almost 8 months ago and we are STILL WAITING for a response from OrangeDoor/Sedgwick Insurance Company. GET YOUR OWN INSURANCE- YOU WILL NEED IT!! This facility is impressive. Clean, easy to use and a good value. My only suggestion would have been for a more-tailored e-mail that gave us instructions on how to open the door to our very clean 5×5 unit: the instructions were for a garage-style overhead-opening door ... but our door actually opened like a normal house door, with hinges. (We felt very silly when after lots of straining to raise the door, it gently swung open.) Otherwise, we are very pleased. read more

If I could give this location a negative zero I would!!! Connie is the most unprofessional manger I have ever come across arguing with customers calling them out of there names!!! It saddens me that this company has such a horrible uneducated person running one of your locations. This lady was yelling at the top of her lungs at customer and last I check the customer is always right! I work for a multi million dollar company and this would never be okayed from a staff member!! I will be on the phone with corporate on Monday to make sure this situation is taken care of. If I have to call every single day I will because she doesn't deserve a manager position. The level of disrespect I dealt with today from this women is ridiculous and I will not sleep until something is done!!! This place was great a few months ago, but has declined greatly since public storage took over this location. Both drive in doors are broken and have been for months, so you can't pull inside the building to load/unload. The place is always dirty with trash, graffiti, dead bugs, and rats. The dumpster on site stays locked 24/7 so people just opt to throwing the trash over the fence and creating an even bigger mess. also the building has no trash cans so lazy people just leave it scattered across the building. Not to mention the new prices are ridiculous. The elevators bug out and have issues opening/closing sometimes. Water fountains have no pressure so you can't drink the water trickling out. Seen two fights while I've been here and no security to handle the situation...the list goes on. Although this place has took a turn for the worst I got to give it to Anthony whom is part of the staff. Anthony is awesome, and quite frankly the best thing this place has to offer. I would strongly recommend checking out other facilities before considering this one. :( read more
