These guys are superheroes. I have had the privilege of being well taken care of thanks to the locksmiths who run this company. I had lost my car keys in LA overnight with no spare and no AAA membership at 4 in the morning. Think you've hit rock bottom now, right? Think again. I was rescued by two employees the following day who went above and beyond to assist me in creating a new key (and spare key) for my VW Jetta. For those who don't know, it's a tricky, case sensitive key that isn't simple to remake a duplicate. Instead, one of the men had to drive out of his way to a city so out of his zone, in prime-time traffic, in order to pick up the proper chip to program the key. The other man also made the trek when he was delayed as the other was on his way, and still proceeded to meet me. Truly caring, hospitable and humble men who are masters of their craft and will take things to the next level to satisfy your needs and make sure you are 100% happy with the result from beginning to end. I express my gratitude to them for a safe and pleasant experience.

This is a little complicated, but I want people to be aware of the problem. What I'll describe here is a shady arrangement in my view. The review is related to Get Pro, which I'll get to later. I wish I could have posted this review related to the original offending party - 24locksmithing.com, but their site is not available and I can't find them on Yelp. But Get Pro is involved and so I want to hold them accountable. I originally contacted a locksmith company that I found on the internet with the name 24Locksmithing. I selected them after contacting 3 or 4 other companies and their estimates seemed the most favorable. What I needed was fairly simple: I had purchased on Amazon two new locks - a basic deadbolt and fairly basic electronic keypad lock. I needed to have them re-keyed and installed to replace existing Schlage locks - no new drilling, etc. Just pull out the old & put in the new. Although the person I spoke with on the phone was unwilling to commit to a particular price, I got this general guideline: $15 for the service call, $19 minimum for each lock to re-key, $35 minimum for an install. Based on that, I figured my cost should be around $105 to $125. A little steep, but I was in a bind for time. Well, apparently 24Locksmithing is merely a company who finds other locksmiths willing to take the work and dispatches them. It took a few hours from the time I called requesting service to the time that someone called back to schedule the appointment. It was GetPro Locksmith that showed up to do the work (which I didn't learn until the end of the whole process when I paid). I explained to the technician (Sean) what I needed and he quoted me a price of $225! Again - I was in a bind and didn't pay attention to my inner voice that said "just say no thanks and worst case pay the $15 service call for your trouble". Instead I asked if he'd do the work for $170. He did the old "let me call my manager" thing, then came back and reluctantly agreed. He took care of the re-keying first, then installed the new deadbolt which went fine. Then he went to work on installing the electronic keypad. It took him quite a while to read the instructions and figure out how to install it, which I found surprising. He even, at one point, criticized the quality of the lock (cheap part made in China, etc.) and that he could get one of his own of better quality and sell it to me (for double what I paid on Amazon.) After finally getting it in, we tried the electronic unlock function which wasn't working. Is that because it was damaged while doing the re-key work? I can't know, and because it was my part, not his - I had no choice but to accept it. I had him uninstall the electronic lock and put the old one back in. The service call lasted about 30-45 minutes total. Now it's time for payment. Because the lock was supplied by me - I was still asked to pay the full $170. And if I wanted to have him back after getting the lock replaced, there would be another install charge. Foolishly, I paid by check - should have done a credit card so I could contest it - and that's the next part of the story. FYI, once I was out of the time-bind I was originally in, I took the replacement lock sent by Amazon to a storefront locksmith who did the re-key in 5 minutes for $10, and then installed the new lock myself in about 15 minutes. He told me that he hears stories like mine all too often. He told me that what he would have charged to come the house for the same service would have been more along the lines of my original guess of around $100-$120 Well - by now my check to GetPro Locksmith had cleared the bank and I couldn't stop payment. Several times I tried calling 24Locksmithing to appeal to their better nature and raised my concerns about the excessive pricing. Eventually I reached a manager (took WAY too many calls for that) and told him that I accepted responsibility for the fact that I had agreed to the charge, but requested that, in the spirit of good customer service, they consider refunding part of the charge. Long story short (several calls over several days) - they said they contacted the locksmith who did the job and that they were unwilling to make an adjustment. Weirdly, even though they had all my info, they told me that the company that had done the work was something called "15 minute service", but I was never able to find a business under that name. But the card which was left with me by Sean was GetPro Locksmith - so they get this review. In my view - the pricing was exorbitant, and the unwillingness to discuss an adjustment after the fact is ridiculous. I can only assume that it was Get Pro who was contacted by 24locksmithing, and therefore they are the ones who refused to discuss an adjustment. Of course, if I am contacted by them and they subsequently attempt to make this right, I'll be happy to post an adjustment to this review. read more

We were to reconvene in court at 2:30 PM for her to return my keys. I asked Isaac to send someone to the site at 2:45 PM so I could have the locks changed immediately. I texted Isaac, who immediately responded and connected me with an available technician. The tenant did not move out by agreed upon time, but Oscar was punctual. I was sitting in court, stressed to the maximum because I absolutely wanted the locks changed, but this horrid individual's movers did not finish moving for another 1.5 hours past the agreed upon time. Oscar is an absolute ANGEL. I can't believe he stayed on site and waited for an hour for the judge to make the official court order for the locks to be changed. I was about to have a conniption because I was afraid he would leave and I would not be able to get the locks changed. Oscar was a godsend and as soon as he received word that the court order was official, he started the process. By the time I arrived on site almost 20 minutes later, he was cleaning up and it was as simple as him handing the keys over to me. Oscar showed so much grace, even though the situation forced him to wait an extra hour. As someone who HATES waiting, I can only imagine how irritated Oscar had every right to be. Instead, he greeted me with a huge smile and assured me everything was fine. THANK YOU, ISAAC AND OSCAR! Because of you, I was able to sleep soundly for the first time in two months last night.

It would take me a day and two nights just writting about my marvelous unexpected experience Shone the owner of locksmith store on Tarzana had me experience. When little cash in my pocket and needing a replacement of my stolen vehicle key, my hand was hold through the whole process by this angel. I have to say that this guy notice I couldn't come up with the rest of the money and that I tried so hard to come up with for the services, he looked at me and said _it's okay darlin, it's okay" that's just when I knew he had a huge heart he had. He executive he's task as if I had payed in full for he's services. Not only that when not being able to complete the final step of making the key getting program with the system, this men didn't just walk away like any other person would of done it. Shone looked at me in the eye and stated once again he's previous words "it's okay, it's okay I'm gonna help you" . He suggested things to do or who to seek for to help us get the key program. After hours of not having any luck, this guy closed he's store to drive to me and show support. With he's friend on the line telling us why we couldnt make it to the final step he made it happen. He invites me to he's shop to finalize the whole process and doesn't charge me a dime. He showed me compassion, and how to for once in a long time feel that everything was going to be okay "moral support". To all this I have to finalize that not only I experience a great service but he made experience great feeling all at once. I totally recommend Get Pro Locksmith. Sean and Iliana are a pleasure to do business with. They are very professional, friendly, warm people and very reasonable. I had gotten quotes from other locksmiths, which most were a little outrageous in price. Over the phone I told Sean, the owner what I needed and he gave me a ballpark quote & didn't jack up the price for the service done when I got there. No BS. I needed a duplicate remote key made for my used 2007 Toyota 4Runner I had just purchased, and the glove compartment was locked as well. Could not open it with the key I had. I made an appointment with Sean who programmed and made a remote key for me and got the glove compartment open on the spot with the new key. This was all done very quickly and reasonably. Also, I worked in construction for many years and I've seen Sean's work on the hardware and locks for businesses and homes, and the installation is beautiful. If you're looking for decency this is your go to!! Everyone knows dealing with a locksmith company is always tricky, after talking to 2 companies telling me that the locksmith technician can only give me an estimate on site , they charge you just for the tech to come out $30!!! Before services and can charge me up to $200 . I found Get Pro Locksmith who gave me a fair price after I explained the service I needed, considering the hour It was 11:30 pm after a 2 hour walk with my baby and pup when I realized I forgot my keys at home. He arrived in less then 10 min' with his son helping me with the baby's stroller getting to my apartment door just to find out that I left my keys in the door immediately I offered to pay for him to come out at this hour but he Insisted not to take ANYTHING saying he is happy and relieved for me to find my keys. I was locked out of my house. Called a number of different places and got ridiculous replies for service calls plus repair/replacement of the front door lock. Some guy showed up in a non descriptive car (not a locksmith van) & played around with the door using one of those rubber inflatable bags used to open car doors! & said he couldn't do it & left. Finally called GetPro & if I remember correctly Tony showed up in no time, took a quick look and figured out its smart a key situation and nothing could be done except drilling it in. Get Pro Locksmith to our rescue: We had twenty children for an end of the school year pool party. The boys and girls were swimming and we realized that we locked ourselves out of the house. We needed help very quickly. Get Pro Locksmith came to our rescue within minutes, and the children applauded. Sean said that he was eating lunch and when he heard that children were involved, he left his lunch and came to our home immediately. What a wonderful man and such a compassionate company. Sean at Get Pro Locksmith recently replaced my locks. Not only have I personally used him, but as a realtor it is important to know a locksmith that is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and fair and I would highly recommend him to any of my clients. He is one of the few locksmiths who is certified and licensed to sell and install Medico and Mul-T-lock if you really want secure high quality locks that you cannot just buy from your local appliance/hardware store. I bought a remote transmitter fob with uncut key for my KIA car and I've been looking for a professional and reliable automotive locksmith in the Valley. I've decided to contact Get Pro Locksmith to have the key cut and program the remote. Shawn made an exact copy of the key and was able to program the remote. Sean was amazing! This is a very efficient company who sent someone promptly. The specialist (Sean) wore a mask, and gave me a very fair price.
