If you're searching for a locksmith that's honest, reliable, and fairly priced, A&J Lock and Key are your guys! I'm a Commercial Property Manager and our company owns one office building, one apartment building, and 12 shopping centers across Southern California and A&J has worked on every single one of them. Whether we have a door that's slamming and in need of a new door closer, a lock that's been vandalized and needs to be replaced with added support, or a simple re-key of an existing lock, Nir has been our guy. His excellent customer service is what continues to earn our business. Nir is very professional, responsive, thoroughly explains what needs to be done, and will never over sell you on something you don't need. He'll tell you what's the right repair to do, and what you can get away with at a cheaper cost (and the risks of going the cheaper route). Nir and his team has also done repair work that you typically think a contractor would do, such as remove and replace an entire door and frame in a wall. Nir is one of our best, preferred vendors and it does not surprise me that his company has so many 5 stars. Look no further, A&J will be your locksmith for life! read more

WOW! 5+++ stars! This was the fourth company I called (and was actually referred to by one of the previous companies). Avi made a copy of my Mazda6 Key and was able to register my key to the car. I don't have a Start Button car but apparently this is a security feature that cars have to make sure people aren't just copying keys. It was so hard to find someone who was able to do this for me and Avi did it in 15 minutes?? Super great service, kept me updated with his timing and availability and made sure everything worked well 3 times before leaving! He was very organized, had everything ready and available and was willing to go the extra step. I recommended him to my family, the business I work for, everyone. Even if you don't need keys made, do it anyway because he's just that good!!! read more

Great service, Highly recommended ! We had to change some lockers in our house and Nir did a very professional job as always, came on time and worked very clean, price was very good as well. We are happy! read more

Incredible service, incredible humans. Thank you Avi for helping me in my time of need... again. It's a scary feeling when your car locks have been broken. Avi's car side manner is exceptional and he does amazing work. Thank you for all you do! read more

Brilliant, quick service in a stressful time of need. Considerate and quite knowledgeable. For your olde, timey whimey, all brass inside lock, locksmith, Nir Z, suggests WD 40 Dry Lube, who knew, and you can get it at Home Depot! I definitely would recommend A&J Lock & Key to friends, family and those who need rescuing. read more

i am notorious for locking myself out. In the 7 years I've lived in this building I have locked myself out atleast 10+ times a lot of them I ended up needing to call a lock smith. my apt building has doors that auto lock, so once the door closes it's locked with no other way in (I live on 4th floor) if the office is closed , I'm basically SOL. multiple locksmiths have tried and tried to open the door and usually have to use a weird contraption that is usually quite difficult as well. it's never an easy process. anyways, I locked myself out (again) and called A&J as they are now recommended by my building and I am IN SHOCK that it took them less then 5 minutes to open the door. this has NEVER happened. I was worried about being BSed when I saw he didn't have the contraption that most have to use to open the door, but within five minutes my door was opened. I am so grateful to this company and will have them on speed dial from now on read more

I did not look forward to trying to navigate the automotive locksmith waters in Los Angeles. Fortunately, my wife did the research and found Avi at A&J. She explained the details of our unusual and unfortunate predicament and he responded with an attitude that clearly communicated he was more interested in trying to simply help us, and with a very reasonable cost solution. He did exactly as promised and even threw in some extra service at no charge to help. When I bid Avi farewell, I gave him a big hug. I don't give those out liberally. But for Avi, it was the appropriate response. Great guy. Excellent work. Very reasonable prices. read more

They came the day we called. Did a great job in a very short time. Made us as many spare keys as we asked.

Problem with my car ignition... key kept getting stuck. I got the parts from the ford dealership and Avi met me in his business parking lot.., 15 minutes all fixed. Thank you, Avi. read more

I got locked out of my house with my child, dogs and cell phone inside, you can imagine the panic I was in. Luckily I live across the street from this amazing locksmith who came to my rescue and got me back into the house super quick. A few days later my mom locked herself out of her house at 10pm and Nir came within minutes and helped her out too. The response time is super fast and the service is outstanding. I would highly recommend A&J Lock and Key to everyone. read more

Hands down, Nir is very legitimate and highly skilled. He was very quick to resolve multiple issues with a custom lock I had on my door. He arrived within the very short time frame as promised, I really value that. Nir stood by his work and did it well. Don't waste your time finding someone else. Nir is the right person to call. read more

Nir was prompt and very friendly. He gave me all the options with the lock that I bought from Lowes and Home Depot. I disassembled it hoping I could save a few bucks installing it myself. It was definitely more complicated than I thought and all of the pieces were strewn all over the place. Nir comes in and organized everything, he installed the touchpad lock and told us what box to return the pieces. He advised us to return the other locks because they wouldn't fit our door. He definitely saved the day. He charged us a fair price to install a complicated system. Don't mess around with other locksmiths, call Nir now!!! He will save your sanity!! Lol read more

A&J Lock and Key - Nir was very nice and accommodating great service great prices! - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Tarzana, California

These guys are amazing!!! Seriously. I locked myself out of my bedroom in the middle of the night and they got to my place before another locksmith company could even return my phone call. And he was so friendly and nice! I was worried my lock would be destroyed because my roommate was locked out of her room a month prior and she had to get a new lock but they were able to get into my room without a problem. HOPEFULLY I never get locked out again but if I am dumb enough to do it again I will definitely call them! Thanks guys!!! read more

I was desperate to find someone. I read some reviews about A&J Lock and Key and called. Glad I did. Nir called back right away. I was able to send a pic of our broken lock. He gave me my options. When we made an appointment he showed up on time with a great smile. He installed our new lock. Even though they do mostly commercial installs i felt like he treated me just as he would a big company. And my bill was more than reasonable, a bit less than we had discussed! Reliable, responds quickly and did great work for a great price. read more

This guy is a rip off. Had him estimated my door, told me cost 850.00 to fix ( $600.00 for closure parts on top) and the rest for adjustment labor. As it turned out, i just need to use a heavy screwdriver or bar and adjust the bottom part. read more

I had a disgruntled regional manager for three food related franchise locations we own and I need a locksmith crew that could re-key all locks for each location within 24 hours. Nir reassured me that they could handle the task. He and his crew came out and were able to tackle each location working into the night and got everything done in record time. Professional service, punctual and great pricing given the circumstances. Thank you guys for everything! read more

Super Friendly and Helpful! My daughter's car keys fell off her key ring while she was away at school. I called up Nir (from Seattle) and he immediately put us at ease and assured us that it would be no problem for one of his technicians to meet with my daughter at her parked car at the university. Within thirty minutes, Nir's brother showed up and made new keys. Everything went smoothly. No issues at all. I definitely recommend A&J Lock and Key for any future key needs. read more

As a real estate agent, I've used nir's services multiple times.. Even when it came to my mother in law.. :)

I lost my Infinity G35 Smart Key and was unable to get into the car let alone start it. Avi showed up at my house within 15 minutes of me calling. He has a great personality, and charged me a fraction of what I was quoted from other locksmiths, not to mention what the dealership was charging. He had me set up with a new key and a spare in no time, and was very thorough in testing all the doors, ignition and trunk as well as sharing a lot of useful information. I highly recommend Avi and A&J Lock and Key. They will be the ones I call if I have another need for a locksmith. read more

I had a court order to evict a problematic tenant. Not a guy I wanted to deal with myself. For what ever reason, the sheriff did not show up on time, and when the tenant found out that we were there to re-key the locks, he got loud and upset. Luckily Nir knew exactly how to calm and handle the situation (I could easily see this was not his first rodeo). To keep it short, I think Nir may have saved me from a beating. I will ONLY, use them from now on. Quick, and punctual service, price was right, and Nir took his time explaining to me how to avoid these kind of sticky situations in the future. Thanks again, and great job !!!! read more

AJ was at the top of the yelp the list and I can confirm that. I've called today to re-key 3 locks - got reasonable price, great service and appointment within 30 min of my call! Really appreciate that! read more

I get off work, take all my stuff up stairs walk back down to my car to realize that I left my keys in my apartment and I always lock the bottom lock when I go outside. The feeling of stupidity came over me. My apartment manager apparently doesn't have a key to my apartment so I'm forced to call a locksmith. As bummed out as I am about paying money to get into my own apartment, I'm thrilled with this company. I called and was given a flat rate and Nir showed up in only 15 minutes. Thank god, any longer and my stupid dog would have destroyed everything I own. It took him maybe 20 seconds to get me back in and it was done. He was super courteous and helpful as well as very professional and friendly. Thanks Nir! I hope I never see you again! LOL read more
