I've called several locksmith over the last few days trying to get a quote for copying a high security key and tightening a lock that is slightly loose. Was the first time I used a locksmith and the experience was great. Response was quick and Sal came to my home within 2 hours from our phone call. He arrived with a mask on and assessed the situation. Originally I had wanted to swap out the existing lock with a new one and add a stronger strike plate, however he instructed me that what I had was more than sufficient just needed to be installed correctly which he did. I'm very upset and disappointed!!! I call yesterday to get a quote on replacing my key for a 12 VW CC and they seemed to be very helpful about my situation and quoted me and estimate of $275 to replace the key for my car. I said I would call them back to have them come out today. So now that I call them back today to have them officially come out to replace the key, i let the man on the phone who answered know who I was and that I was calling regarding my 2012 VW CC he then just said "OK?" I said can I get the replacement of the key I get an answer of "No!" I said "What?" And was about to nicely let them know that we spoke yesterday and that I got quoted for $275 and that someone would come out!!!! Now I'm super upset because I have to continue searching for ANOTHER locksmith that can get me a great deal like this company did. I don't like writing bad reviews and I've had many opportunities I do so but this here really passed me off. Their prices are awesome but the people are unprofessional and rude. I recently broke the key for my VW Cabrio. I called a local number a friend gave me and was told to get a new key from a dealer by VIN number, which I did. The dealer wants a ridiculous price to sync the chip in the new key so I looked on Yelp and found this company. He told me he doesn't do VWs. I called the number my friend gave me and apparently it's the same guy. HE JUST HUNG UP ON ME AND WHEN I CALLED BACK HE WAS VERY RUDE! NEWS FLASH, SIMON...Yelp has a 1-800 number listed. The number my friend gave me was a local 818. I DIDN'T REALIZE I WAS CALLING THE SAME PERSON FROM TWO DIFFERENT NUMBERS! Maybe if you had politely explained that I had just spoken to you instead of being a rude jackass, I'd have a better review for you. I won't be passing along your number to anyone I know. read more
