I had an excellent experience with Levi at Global Lock and Key! I called around to compare prices for a spare key for my Ford Escape, which required a chip and fob. Levi was so quick, transparent, and courteous on the phone that I decided to book him right away. He came directly to our house within an hour, which was incredibly convenient. My girlfriend and I were a bit indecisive about exactly what we wanted, but Levi was incredibly patient and professional while we figured it out. Once we settled on the plan, he was highly efficient and thorough. He made sure the new key and fob worked well with the car before he left. I would call Levi again anytime. read more

I called this company for a car key replacement when I was in a pinch after losing my key. He arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was able to get the key programmed that day, which I appreciated. However, there were several issues. The price increased by $20 from what was quoted over the phone because I wasn't paying in cash. I didn't love that surprise, but I still went ahead with the service. A little over two months later, the remote portion of the replacement key stopped working completely. I changed the battery as he suggested, but that didn't fix the issue. I've had replacement keys before with no problems, so I believe this one may have been faulty from the start. When I reached back out, he told me I would need to bring my car to him in Reseda--even though we originally met in Los Feliz. I offered to meet somewhere in between because I understood the distance, but instead he suggested I try someone local. The problem is that if I go to someone else, they'll charge me for a whole new key, even though the issue came from the faulty key Global Lock & Key provided. To make things harder, since the remote doesn't work, I have to manually unlock the car, and the key gets stuck. I'm honestly worried that eventually it won't come out. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any real help resolving this. I appreciated the initial quick service, but the malfunctioning key and lack of support afterward were very disappointing. read more

From the get go he demonstrated high level of professionalism in the way he spoke and later with the service he provided. I had two locks for replacement.
