I called this company for a car key replacement when I was in a pinch after losing my key. He arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was able to get the key programmed that day, which I appreciated. However, there were several issues. The price increased by $20 from what was quoted over the phone because I wasn't paying in cash. I didn't love that surprise, but I still went ahead with the service. A little over two months later, the remote portion of the replacement key stopped working completely. I changed the battery as he suggested, but that didn't fix the issue. I've had replacement keys before with no problems, so I believe this one may have been faulty from the start. When I reached back out, he told me I would need to bring my car to him in Reseda--even though we originally met in Los Feliz. I offered to meet somewhere in between because I understood the distance, but instead he suggested I try someone local. The problem is that if I go to someone else, they'll charge me for a whole new key, even though the issue came from the faulty key Global Lock & Key provided. To make things harder, since the remote doesn't work, I have to manually unlock the car, and the key gets stuck. I'm honestly worried that eventually it won't come out.
