Hands down one of the worst Lock Smiths I have been too. Came in to get a couple mail box keys duplicated and the Spanish guys attitude and demeanor from the beginning was just totally off and rude. I needed to get 2 sets of keys copied and while making them he was just frustrated. Only made one set that I dont even know will work or not, and then he came to a conclusion saying that my keys are way too warm out when ever They are COMPLETELY BRAND NEW KEYS, and he wont make them when he already made one set! Save yourself your time and go some where else that where they show appreciation coming into their business! Dont recommend this place! read more

I visited there for key duplication. They did it quickly and cheaply. What else does someone want?

I had been a loyal customer for years but I was really disappointed with the service recently. I have been coming here since they were located in Panorama City and even drove out to their new location. I had ordered a replacement key fob from them in 2022, and around December 2024 it started failing. It started failing to lock and unlock and eventually the car stopped recognizing it. I came in and got a new replacement late January of 2025, where they offered me a small discount since it had been years since I purchased the first key. In September, only 8 months later and it's started failing again! I went in to see what they could do and they told me that their warranty was only around 2/3 months after purchase. I get that it's been a couple of months but come on, I spent so much on a key fob and the programming for it to fail a couple months after the warranty expires. They only offered a small discount but said I would ultimately have to order a new key and get it reprogrammed. I ended up going to a different locksmith who helped me out and they even ordered me a genuine Kia key fob! No wonder their keys were failing! They buy the cheapest keys yet charge an arm and a leg! read more

This company seemed very responsive , competent, and fair by e-mail from Yelp!-type response. I had a difficult car key fob remote duplication needed for my 2007 Saturn Vue. Granted, dealers and GM were unhelpful citywide. This company appeared to be able to do it, and be able to order after-market replacement parts. However, when I got there, got the impression that the locksmith did not know what he was doing. It was the first place I tried out of five that didn't even have a key blank that would fit my ignition from a working duplicate key. I was referred to a booth down the street in a very crowded parking lot. As to programming the remote, I told locksmith instructions called for latching all doors before programming from a scanner, but the day was hot and he didn't believe me and refused to try it. He did not offer to order replacement parts. read more

Do not go here. Negligent business, management and ownership. They had one job, to make a key copy and they didn't do that correctly. Be careful because they do not care about the quality of the service they provide. My friend could not get into my home (with the key copy they made) to take care of my pets and had to call a locksmith which was $250. Plaza Lock did not reimburse me for the locksmith and the manager didn't care that their employee made such a big mistake especially when he only has one simple job--make a key copy. read more

As a property owner I tend to need locksmiths Services quite often. My locksmith retired after 30 years of good service, and I've been through about 4 flaky locksmiths trying to find a good one. Another property management company referred me to these guys, I'm delighted. I had them do three jobs for me last month, very competitively priced, work was done in a timely fashion, and it was done right the first time what more can I ask I hope they stay around longer than I do. They have a real store with good displays and inventory. Called today to schedule someone to come out and fix a malfunctioning interior door knob that was making it so that I couldn't open the door at all. I explained what was happening and whoever I spoke to told me that it was a simple fix and then explained how I could easily fix it myself. I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow anyway because I didn't believe that I could fix it. Then I got bored and indeed I was able to easily fix it myself.
