On January 24, 2025 my wife called Ben Security Locksmith to replace our door lock. The Technician arrived and informed us that he would have to order the three point lock system and that it would take a week be fore we receive it through the mail. He then mentioned that he could install a standard door lock that would match our front door. So, we agreed to go ahead with the standard lock thinking that it would look like the locks in our front door. He then started removing the original locking system, then drill two holes and install the standard locking system. When he was done installing the standard locks, it was so disappointing to see that it was so unprofessional done. The plates are seating on top of each other and uneven. The attached pictures will attest to my claim. And, on top of that we were charged $981.00. I will never recommend this to anybody. read more

Ben's Security sent a guy out to make an ignition key for my Chevy Silverado. He provided a crappy lazer cut key with a cheap ass Amazon remote for $450! As soon as I stuck the key in the ignition it didn't feel right- took a couple turns to start and it would slide right out ( Next locksmith said he must have stole the cylinders out of the ignition) sweet! A few days later the remote completely fell apart-and of course the ignition key he made does not work on the door! On May 19 I contacted Ben Security Locksmith to have a Schlage Encode rekeyed in Yucaipa. The dispatcher stated that a service technician would contact me shortly with an estimate of when they would arrive. At roughly 8:30 PM, Angel Carr, the technician, called to confirm the address and give an estimate of when he would arrive. After about 30 minutes, he arrived. Angel had a tattoo on his right arm that said "f*** off." He was kind and worked quickly. After the completion of the services a little after 9:00 PM, Angel said he was done and gave us the key for the lock. We thank him and said goodbye. At about 10:00 PM, when we were leaving for the day, it was discovered that the technician Angel had broken the lock. When we inserted the key into the lock, it was loose. It pulled out the chamber with pins and springs from the lock. Parts fell everywhere. Angel was contacted and asked to return to fix the lock. Angel said he would come back the next day, May 20 since it was late and he had already gone home. He asked if we could install the original lock on the meanwhile until he could return. On May 20 Angel contacted me to report he would have to replace the lock. He stated that he ordered the lock and would have to install a temporary lock until the replacement came in. He returned on May 20 to install a temporary lock. Angel said the replacement lock should arrive between May 24-27. Angel was contacted on May 25, "no update yet," and May 28 for an update on the lock. On May 28, Angel explained he would arrive May 29 to replace the lock. On May 29, Angel did not respond to messages or phone calls, I called the company line to ask to speak with a supervisor. A supervisor called me back to explain they were closed and he did not know why Angel said he would return to replace the lock. The supervisor stated he would have someone fox the situation on May 30 even if he had to pay the technician double for coming on a Sunday. The locksmith supervisor's phone number was 310-600-1062. He said to save his number. On May 30 Angel contacted me through text message to say he would arrive by 4 PM with the replacement and apologized for being sick the previous day. At 4 PM, Angel texted me to ask that I call him. Angel explained that he was not trying to rip us off and that he was being honest. He said unfortunately he was not able to order the lock or that the company had not processed it. He said he would go to Lowes or Home Depot to buy a similar lock to do the replacement the next day, which was Memorial Day. I told him that I would not be there, but my brother would be. On May 31, Angel did not arrive. At 3:12 PM I texted him to explain that my brother would be there on June 1 and provided him my brother's phone number. He texted, "Sr good day, we did not work today because Memorial Day I give a call to your brother tomorrow On June 1, I called Angel after he had not contacted my brother. I explained that this seemed suspicious and I did not understand why this was so difficult to replace the lock. I said that his supervisor had said that he would send someone on Sunday, which did not occur. Angel said he would talk to his supervisor and get back to me. At 3:40 PM I stated receiving calls from (480)343-0292. Angel texted me to say, "Please give my supervisor a call back. He was just trying to call from an Arizona number so please speak with him and we will take care of you." I then called the number. The supervisor repeated that they were having difficulty ordering the lock. He confirmed that we would accept a similar replacement. He said that they would replace the lock right away. On June 4, I contacted the supervisor at 3:41 PM. I requested a refund. He stated that he would try his best to provide the refund and he would call me back within the hour. At 4:40 PM I called the dispatch line at 818-853-5516 since I had to heard back from the supervisor. The supervisor with the Arizona phone number called back. I again requested a refund. He said that it would take 3-5 business days to process. He requested I text him a receipt to process the refund since it was difficult to find the transaction with Angel. I texted him the receipt and he confirmed he received it. On June 10, we still had not received the refund. I contact the Arizona number again through text he said he would try to take care of it right away. I tried calling the dispatch line to ask to speak to the owner or a supervisor. The dispatch said they did not have an owner or supervisor and hung up on me. I look up the company info to find the company belonged to Raz Hazan at 5627 Kanan Rd APT 195, Agoura Hills, CA 91301. I could not find his number. The number from Arizona called again to state I should dispute the charge with my credit company since they were having difficulty refunding the charge. I began to complain to him that I was going to write a Yelp, Google, and BBB Review since this was shady. He then hung up on me. read more

Commercial lock replacement: Time of response and technician were both good. Though time of replacement was long (3-4 hours). Call center and customer service lacked quality. Poor phone etiquette made it seem as if I was calling someone working out of their garage. Price was a bit outrageous. From a quick google search I saw prices about half of what I was quoted. When I inquired as to why I got a bit of run around about how commercial locks are expensive but didn't get a straight answer. The manager I spoke to did give me a 10% discount, yet still did not answer my questions as to why it was so expensive and what standard costs are. Not having a standard cost of goods seemed questionable. All in all I needed work done and it got done. Hands down, if I need service on another lock I will request service elsewhere. read more
