I've passed this place a gaziilion times and it wasn't until I recently when I fell in love with no-chip manicures that I decided to give this place a shot since it's up the street from me. I wanted to love it because that would make my no-chip appointments super convenient but no such luck, my friends. They use OPI products and have a decent selection of colors. It's really the execution I have an issue with. The woman doing my service was super nice but I felt rushed through it. No Chips take some time because each coat needs to set under the dryer for a few minutes. Instead, she rushed through each coat before it was properly dried and the manicure ended up streaky and with a very odd bump at the tip of each nail. Being that I'm a hand model for a living (kinda...not really) I was super bummed. I can't speak to their other services but I know I won't be back based on my experience. Bummer! read more

rude. rude. rude. the girl waxing me was friendly the first 30 sec but then was on her cell phone the whole rest of the time. so weird. dirty. dirty. dirty. blood stains on the sheets in the waxing room. i got a bacterial infection 5 days post-wax. pretty sure it came from there. save your money and save your health. read more

I love this place! This isn't your typical cheesy nail salon with posters of rhinestone-encrusted, airbrushed 3-inch-long claws. Nope, this salon has the cool sophistication of a much more expensive place. One of the owner's daughters decorated the salon with a Parisian theme and did an excellent job. The staff chats with you, unlike some salons where they spend the entire time on their cell phones. They are very attentive and give you a manicure/pedicure that lasts and lasts. I believe it's around $40 for a manicure/pedicure, so the prices are reasonable. read more

We had a LAST MINUTE pedicure for my mom, sister and I! We just walked in and were helped RIGHT AWAY! They were totally nice to me, even though I am FREAKISHLY TICKLISH! And, the black light/FAN combination to dry off your toes was SO FUN! read more

With so many nail salons to choose from in this area, I am happy I chose to stop by Get Nail'd. Besides the quirky and original name of the salon, the staff are friendly and the ambiance is relaxing. I have now been back twice since my first appointment, and each of my no-chip manicures have lasted more than 2 weeks without chipping at all. The vibe is cute and clean, and there's a TV on the wall that constantly plays a different rom-com to alleviate any boredom. I highly recommend this place! read more

I have been going to Get Nail'd forever it seems! Well in reality, at least 8 years. I just love it! Not only do they do a great job on both manicures and pedicures, it's family owned and operated which I love. Everyone that works there is friendly and they make you feel like you are at home when you are there. I love it so much, I turned my partner on to this place and he's a regular too! It's just so great to be able to go some where in the neighborhood where they are so nice to you and they make you feel like part of the family! Go today and see what I'm talking about! read more

Best pedicures I've had in Chicago. I've been coming here (not as regularly as I would like) for 5 years now and they have never let me down. They take their time, always have something gloriously terrible on the tv, and keep everything super clean and tidy. Hearts to you ladies! read more

I went here when I first moved to Chicago last year. The salon itself was nice and clean, and the prices weren't bad. However, I found the technicians' skill level to be lacking. After one particularly bad manicure when I was left with barely any cuticles (I thought the point was to TRIM, not OBLITERATE?!) I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

I really give up going to this place after my experience today. It is my 4th time going in there throughout the year and I still have not had been served. The first time I walked in during the Spring of this year, it was a Saturday. The place was very busy, so they said come back tomorrow, it would be best. I said ok but couldn;t come back the next day. About a month and a half Iater, my second attempt..I walked in about 15 min before it closed. They couldn't take take me they said ..So I said it's ok. I Understand. Few months later my 3rd time, they told me it is going to be about a 15 min wait. While I was waiting she took in the customer that came in about a few minutes after me. Without an appointment, the staff just took this lady that just walked in without saying anything to me. I waited a little longer but they took too long. So I left. This happened again on my 4th attempt there. That's when I said I give up. After the 4th attempt...I couldn't help but to laugh. This place is just not good. I didn't like their way of communicating with me as a customer and it was not a good experience for me. read more

My nails chipped off 2 days later (and no, I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary at all). For the eye brow wax I was hurried in and out, she was talking so fast I couldn't follow- and zero plucking etc. It was such a bum rush I ended up leaving my credit card there... Yes, some of the nail techs are high schoolers. They do not adhere to the hours on their door. read more

I was so bummed after I left this place. My no-chip mani looked like it had been done a week ago. My pedi looked like a child did it. The place wasn't very clean, the station I was in smelt like smoke and there was a girl eating her lunch at her station in front of me. I felt like I was at my friends house getting my nails done, not a place of business. I would suggest going somewhere else. I think some of the reviews are given by these girls friends. read more

Get Nail'd is absolutely the best! When I recommended this place to all of my friends, they all fell in love with it! Every time I come in, I am always greeted with such a warm welcome. The salon is in a great location, close to many restaurants and other shops. For the past few years of going to this salon, I have always been satisfied with the quality of service that the staff provides. All the times that I've gotten manis/pedis there, they always get the job done right by buffing out those nasty calluses and pushing up those cuticles, leaving such smooth hands and feet. The one thing that sets them apart from everyone else is the price! I understand money is tight for all of us. Coming to Get Nail'd gives you the service of a high-end salon without the high-end price. What more can you ask for? Love the place. Love the staff. Love the service. Trust me. You won't be disappointed! :) read more

Get Nail'd is a Mecca for great services and relaxation!! I've been going there as long as I've lived in the neighborhood and while I've strayed from time to time, (due to emergency only) I always go back. Whether it's a mani or pedi, they always look fantastic! It's spa & salon service minus the snotty attitude and high prices. Donna works wonders!! She is the goddess of waxing!! I will never stray from her waxing ways. She makes it virtually painless and does a fantastic job. I was at work in the middle of a meeting when someone pulled me aside and asked "where do you get your brows done?!? They look fantastic!" Not your typical boring meeting side conversation. This place is like finding a $20 in your coat pocket from last winter. They do a fantastic job, everyone is cheerful and kind, they genuinely want you to leave pleased with their work and not broke. And that's something anyone can appreciate. read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Julie (owner), Donna and the whole crew at this fabulous nail salon. I also stick with them for my eyebrow waxing, and have been since they opened in 2005. They rock my world. Seriously, the massage chairs are AH-MAZING! They even give you a bootie massage :) It's unlike any other massage chair I've sat in. It's not one of those SUPER cheesy places that feels cheapie/awkward. It's classy, comfy, and they do a great job. We've been there w/my friend's wedding party and it was a great time, sipping champy & soaking it up. A GREAT deal in East Lakeview!!! read more

Very clean environment and it's BYOB, staff are very friendly! The most important Is that they did good job on my no chip madi !!! read more

Get Nail'd - No chip madi - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I absolutely hate to do this, but I cannot give this salon a stellar rating. While everyone there was amazingly nice and accomodating (got an impromtu eyebrow wax after my mani/pedi), my nails look pretty awful. I got a french manicure and it is uneven and one day later, yes on day, four of my ten nails are chipped. Even one of my toes is chipped, after letting it dry for over an hour. My cuticles do not look like they were even touched. For $40, I feel a bit jipped. Again, nothing personal towards the staff b/c they really were great. I made an appointment an hour prior to coming in and I did have a relaxing experience. Its just the aftermath that has me a bit down. Oh, and my massage chair wasn't working properly. I will not be returning to this salon, despite the amazing name. Ha ha, Get Nail'd. :) read more

I never write reviews, but I had to with this one. I went to this location twice. I am giving them 1 star because they overcharge you and the quality is not good for their price. I went to them for no chip twice and within a week one of my nails would be broken. One of the times they did not fully take off the paint and painted the new nail over it and it was obvious. They lack quality and will overcharge you by $15. I would recommend going to Mini Nails, which is right down the street from this place. read more

I forgot to ask for her name, but the girl who did my nails did a great job. I was seated immediately and was in and out in like 25 minutes with a perfect no chip. I'll definitely go back read more

Not bad. The place is definitely clean and has a calming decor and the girls who work in it were nice, but I wasn't thrilled with the outcome. I have definitely had better looking pedicures for less ($25 for a straight up pedi). There are a ton of other places near by which I will chose from next time. read more

I really enjoyed this place. It feels more spa-like than many nail places that have a sterile yet cheap feeling. Someone with good taste decorated this place. In addition to the normal pile of magazines, there's a book shelf, and two tv's with movies going. The girl who did my nails was nice and patient when I smudge a nail that she'd just finished. I don't get my nails done often, so i don't know how their price compares with others. read more

Love this place! I am a regular here- every two weeks acrylic fill with gel polish. I am extremely picky about nail salons and have tried so many of them. Finally I found this place and have been coming here for over a year now. I am very picky how I like my acrylics- thin, pointy, no lumps and they get it right every time. Highly recommend. read more

I love this place! I get gel manicures from here and they can last up to 3 weeks (yes they look grown out but they never chip or peel! It's magic) They are super quick and always have a fun movie playing on the tv. I've never waited more than 10 minutes and I am always greeted as soon as I walk in the door. I have to walk past about 7 other nail salons on my way to this one, but it is ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! Also sometimes they don't even charge me for my soak off which is super sweet. I highly recommend this place! read more

Looks like a nicer salon inside, but has really fair prices. They always seat you in the pedicure chair about half an hour before you actually get the service done. By the time they come over my feet are prunes!! It really doesn't trick me into thinking the service is any faster :) But regardless, I have gotten a bikini wax from here and it was really good! Only $30- the lady was very quick and efficient (I believe they only have 1 girl here doing waxing services). My friend got her eyebrows waxed and they looked good. Manicure was OK- didn't last super long, but then again, what manicure does? Good location! You definitely will not be in and out, expect at least 1.5 for mani/pedi. read more

A nice tranquil place to get a mani and pedi. The massage chairs in the pedicare stations are amazing. The staff is friendly and really go the extra mile. read more

Truly wonderful salon with knowledge, professional staff. I know that the recently changed ownership, which makes me a little sad. I was coming to see the former owner (I'm blanking on her name) for regular eyebrow waxes for the last few months. She was extremely accomodating of my schedule and frequently offered to come in on her days off to fit me in. She took great care of me and all my beauty prep in the months leading up to my wedding. Excellent service and wonderful relaxing atmosphere! Thank you Get Nail'd! read more

I tend to shy away from getting my nails done too much. I'm a runner, so my feet aren't the prettiest (even pedicures don't help) and I'm sort of a tomboy who constantly is getting her hands dirty one way or another, so manicures never last. Still, every so often I decide to treat myself to a mani and pedi at Get Nail'd. The last manicure I got was awesome -- it lasted for a week with no problem and I only took the polish off because my nails had grown so fast. Otherwise, there wasn't a chip on them. It's a great neighborhood salon. I'd recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

Very happy with this place. Not to be gross, but I get ingrown toenails often, and this is the only place that takes care of them correctly. Interior is nice, too. read more

scene: saturday afternoon mid summer what: me and two girlfriends need pedi's in a bad way where: we start making our way down broadway till we find a salon that isn't excessively crowded enter: get nail'd. we had THE BEST time chatting with the three sisters who work in their mom's family run store while they worked on our feet. the banter alone between the girls was worth the money. on top of that, weeks later, my pedi still looks pretty decent. when flip flops and running shoes is what you primarily wear, that's quite an accomplishment. i'll definitely be back to see those girls. besides, one owes me a link to her tumblr! read more

I've been here about 5 times now and have had a great experience each time. If you're looking for a casual environment and a well-done manicure, I would recommend Get Nail'd. (Can't speak to the pedis or other services, as I've only had nails done). I've found that their gel manicures look so much better and last longer than other salons I've been to in the city at the same price point. Also, they have cash deals, so if you're looking to save a few dollars, I would bring cash. The only drawback might be that it can get pretty busy on weekends--so even if you have an appointment you might wait for a while. That said, they do a good job of being efficient with each client, and it's nice to have a salon that takes walk-ins. read more

I recently moved to lakeview so I had to find a new place to get my nails done. Let me just say I will not be coming back. The place is gorgeous, the staff is very friendly. I came in when they were very busy and I had to wait about 30mins for someone to take care of me but I was updated on how much longer very often and they made the wait a lot less irritating. HOWEVER, my $35 no chip mani starting chipping in ONE WEEK! I will be making the extra effort to take the bus back to my old spot in Lincoln park. read more

I absolutely love this place! Every staff member is so kind, and truly cares about providing the best service. Their no chip manicures are incredible, and last forever! I don't know what I would have done if I never stumbled upon this place! read more

I moved here a few months ago and tried a few nail salons, Get Nail'd was the best one! The girls that work there are very friendly, the salon is really clean, and they are extremely accommodating. I called one night a few minutes before they take their last walk in to see what time they closed, and they told me to come down anyway they could give me a mani/pedi - they stayed late to do my nails, which was really nice. They also offer a discount on your nail services if you pay with cash! I would recommend this place to everyone! read more

I love it here! My manicures last two weeks at least (I don't do dishes). They do such a great job and have taken most of my friends here who all agree the place is great. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is modern, clean and cozy. read more

I just moved from Phoenix a month ago and have had the hardest time finding a nail salon that offers a full set as a service. Not only does this place do so, they are also open on Sundays! I was surprised when I called Sunday that they actually had availability for me. I had Jenny as my technician. She was able to give me a thin full set of acrylic and put no-chip polish over it. I typically bite no chip and my natural nails as a bad habit, so this works best for me. She was quick and efficient and my nails feel so much better! I will be coming back. Also, I made a call to see if you can BYOB and you can :) read more

This has been my go to for almost two years. Absolutely love the staff and the salon. Highly recommend!

I went here in a pinch because my usual place was booked on a Saturday. It looks nice and seemed clean. I got a regular manicure and when I looked at the polishes I knew I wouldn't be coming back. The polishes looked old some of them cracked. The manicure itself was ok, not bad- not great. But when I got home I noticed ALL of my nails had bubbles! I assume this is from old polish. There's a million nail places right around here I will go somewhere else next time. read more

This is a great place. I've been going since they opened. Its nice to go to a place that is affordable but not a dingy, tacky, fluorescent-lit hole in the wall. You never need an appointment and there is almost never a wait. I have trouble with dead skin building up on my heels and my pedicurist even gave me some of her professional supplies to help with the upkeep between visits! read more

walked in for an eyebrow wax on a busy sunday afternoon - was taken right in. REALLY good wax and the price was fantastic. Tammy took her time and covered a larger area than normal on the cheeks. I recently had a spa party her for my now sister in law. It was a small party just 5 of us but they opened an hour early for us and helped me set up a table(that they provided) for all of our pastries and mimosa's that we had that morning. All the women there were great, especially considering that I was the only person who was used to getting mani/pedi's done. They were great with helping the mom's pick their colors and what would work best for the big weekend. Plus they have a great movie selection to have in the background. We all had a great time. read more

It's been a few years since my last review but Get Nail'd is as great as ever. All the girls that work there a super sweet and do really quality work. Like most ladies, I've been to a dozens of salons because they were close to my house or cheap but this place is worth visiting when I'm in the area. The atmosphere is always warm and comfy which just adds to a great manicure. read more
