This is my nails 24 hours after getting them done and they're still this inflamed. My cuticles were destroyed with a drill while I was getting my previous dip removed to the point I started bleeding. My nail tech then proceeded to not acknowledge it or wipe any blood away, but dipped my bloody finger into the dip pot where I could see a trace of blood go into it. This is incredibly painful and I'm just hoping it doesn't turn into an infection. It didn't seem like they were going to throw away the dip that my blood got into, so I would not go here if you care about sanitary measures. read more

Would defend this place with my life ! They always manage to fit me in and Ivy has had a loyal customer in me for about a year now. I've been nervous to do dip nails since the last time I tried in high school (ruined my nails back the ). Ivy has 100% kept my nails healthy and strong for about a year, never making my natural nail too thin, or making the dip on top too thick. They grow so fast now! I get compliments on every single set, both at work and from friends! Half the time I even bring friends along to get a mani or pedi and they really enjoy it too. Always cute 90s/00s rom coms playing on the TV! Vibes are pretty chill and welcoming, and occasionally people stop in with their dogs! I never feel overcharged (usually stays around $75 depending on what I have done, sometimes more if I do cateye or a bunch of different colors or chrome). But Ivy always takes her time and I think she's deserving of that and a tip! Lasts me about 3 weeks (4 if i'm lazy lol). Out of the entire year i've only had two broken nail incidents, both entirely my fault and she still took time to fix them day-of! So want to get my nails done on Sunday (7/24) and yesterday my no chip manicure that's supposed to last me up to three weeks already needs to be done over. Had to go to target and get a similar color just to have something on my half professionally done nails because I don't like chipped polish at all. I was visiting a friend that lived in this neighborhood and wanted to get my nails done. There were several nail salons in the area, but this one looked the most well taken care off and appealing. I walked in and the place was packed. It was a Saturday afternoon and they were still able to accommodate me. I was greeted by the front lady and told to pick out a color. They have an extensive range of regular manicure colors and I also saw that they have an even wider range of gel manicure colors. My manicurist did a wonderful job, she was efficient, skilled, and very detailed with the service. I accidentally smudged my pinky during service and she was happy to get that fixed for me. The salon itself is beautiful and neat. The colors are warm and relaxing and it seems like this is a family owned business since it is decorated with tons of family and cultural photos. After my service, I was able to sit at the drying table, which I genuinely appreciate a salon having. I sat under there for about 10 minutes and was ready to be on my way! I feel like I am cheating on my favorite nail salon, but the services offered here are interesting and I'd like to be back to test a few others. read more

Love this place! Came here for a little self-care pick-me-up with my roommate almost two weeks ago now and nails are STILL going strong! I got a no-chip polish change / manicure and my manicurist was wicked fast. At first, so fast that I was wondering if the quality was suffering but to my surprise, she was JUST that good! I went for a classic- Bubble Bath OPI no-chip/gel and she was proficient at what she was doing, gave me the shape/length I was looking for, and overall I had a very pleasant experience. They have multiple TV's in the salon and Age of Adeline was on, which was entertaining to watch during the process. This place seems to be very focused on in-and-out which was great for the occasion, and good to know if you ever need a pretty quick manicure and don't have a ton of time (sometimes it's about self-care, but I've had times too where I've been in a hurry and waited over an hour for a simple manicure change). Friendly staff and overall a very pleased customer :) I would love to come back. My nails still look fantastic about two weeks later and even lasted me a four-day solo hiking trip in the Colorado mountains. Customer: answer yes you can shape them but do not dye them with black dye". Nail Tech: Okay Customer walks out with thick black eyebrows that resemble Groucho Marx. Did she abide by the customers wishes? Hmmm I don't think so. Same tech observes the client messed up on recently polished nail while putting her shoes on. Customer: Can you fix this please? Nail tech says : with angry inflection in her voice. Look what you did! I am not going to fix this for you. I will have to do your nails all over again. I don't have time. I tried to give many chances to this particular salon but it just keeps overcharging and hardly ever improve or follow directions when requesting a service. Asked for dip over natural nails, "returning customers and the same nail tech" I showed a video a particular style of French with a soft white layer. Had a video for reference. Somehow turns out to a basic french dip with an bulky acrylic and the shape uneven even when I requested to be fixed the shape because it was uneven. I don't believe for $80 a frech made out of dip is worth it when it's not even well done. read more

Do NOT recommend. As someone who has been getting gel manicures every two weeks for literally 5 years, this place is such a let down. I literally went Monday evening to get my nails and toes done, when I left my nails felt super thin, not like a usual gel manicure, but I figure whatever. Today I am sitting at the airport and two of my nails just chipped off before an important weekend trip. I am LIVID to say the least. To top it off, the man who did my nails insisted that my toes were dry and I was able to put my heels back on to walk home. I told him twice I didn't mind wearing the foam sandals, and he said "no no no it's okay". I got home, to find both my big toes completely smeared. DO NOT GO HERE. I'm so sad because I had such a phenomenal first experience there that I took my bestie there for a full mani pedi. I called 3 days before and made an appointment for is the day of our flight to Texas for a wedding. We showed up and got started but there was only one person for two of us. We ended up being there for 2.5 hours because we only had one employee working on us. She never asked how we liked it or if we liked the shape of our nails. We felt so awkward the whole time and not wanted there. It just sucked because I made an appointment for us and hyped up this cute nail salon to my friend and then we spent around $100 each with tip and left not feeling so great. She filed my nails so poorly my skin under my nails was bleeding. They were sore for almost a week. I'm just so sad and hope this hasn't happened to anyone else because the place is so cool and they play the best movies while you're there. It's clean with a huge selection of polished and services. So I hope this review only helps the team be more aware and to plan ahead for the appointment requests! I rarely write reviews, but based on my experience today, it feels necessary. I am giving 2 stars since my nails did turn out well in the end. Walked into the salon around 11am on a Tuesday, and was only the second customer there. No one greeted me at first, although someone did finally ask me to pick a color. It should also be mentioned that the place was a MESS, looked like someone had come in and trashed the place. After I was told to sit down and my nails were wrapped, my manicurist started cleaning up the place/mopping the floors, and didn't come back to me for about 15-20 mins. This was ok, but when she did come back to work on my nails,she continually got to mop the floor. I understand they need to clean, but this was just poor/ strange customer service. The tools were also in poor shape and looked unclean. And the polish was very gluey, looked like it had been sitting out for days. Needless to say, I did almost leave but didn't have the time to have my nails finished elsewhere. There are several salons in this neighborhood, on the hunt for somewhere new.
