The coffee has so many delicious flavors with homemade syrups and seasonal options. We got a Vanilla Oatmilk Latte and Juniper Latte. The biggest plus for here is the DELICIOUS food options... with in-house pastry chefs... they have an advantage! We went with the Breakfast Sandwich on Buttermilk Biscuit with Bacon and Cinnamon Roll. But everything looooked so good. They even have a basket full of "yesterday's pastries" for 50% off. The seating is limited but it turns over quickly. You wait for your drink order at the end of the counter, but food will be brought out fresh from the kitchen to your table via number. They have water available for the tables and kindly ask that you clean your own table with a tub for all dishes. The staff still does come through the dining area to make sure that everything is nice and tidy. The vibe is very cute and feels like home. We will be back. I've passed Georgie's Corner Cafe several times on my work commute and finally stopped in, which I'm glad I did. The space is cozy, with ~7 small tables inside for pairs, a few high seats facing the window if you like people-watching, plus several small outdoor tables for when the weather is nice. I came at noon on a Friday and it was fully occupied inside, which is always a good sign. I ordered my food to go and waited about 10-15 minutes, which felt reasonable given how busy it was. The Cafe Breakfast Sandwich with added bacon came out to around $20, but I think it was worth it. It was stacked high with a fluffy souffle-style egg, cheese, tomato, and arugula on a biscuit. They also had a tempting selection of pastries, plus grab-and-go options like overnight oats, tuna salad, and juice in the fridge. I skipped coffee/tea/matcha this time, but they have a full drink menu, and I noticed a poster advertising catering for pastries, cookies, sandwiches, quiche, and "Joe to-go" coffee, which is good to know for future work events. read more

I stopped by yesterday around 1pm and it was pretty busy with a fairly long line. Thankfully it moved quickly and I didn't have any issues snagging a table outside. They gave me a number for my quiche and brought it out to me but gave me my pie and latte basically right away. The inside is quite charming although a bit on the small side. I would go earlier to make sure you snag a table if you're set on eating there. There's no WiFi. They ask that you put your dirty dishes and silverware in their designated bins at the end of your meal. My latte was decent and the pie crust on my pie and on my quiche were excellent. They have a decent selection of drinks and food items. The baked goods looked amazing, but we did not try them on this visit. The roasted tomato Benedict and dirty chai latte were great! The cortado and cranberry cheddar grilled cheese were just ok. It was also quite pricey for 2 entrees and 2 coffees... it came to $60 and that's a bit much for breakfast. I got the Spinach Florentine Eggs Benedict, and it was incredible (5/5)! It was the best eggs Benedict I have had! Great flavor, and the English muffins were crunch on the outside but soft on the inside, which was a nice touch! The side potatoes were also good (4/5). I've heard about this place but haven't had the chance to visit. So here we are on a very rainy Sunday morning... I found myself in Shadyside so I decided to check out Georgie's! It was easy to find as was the street parking. This cafe is so cute! There is indoor and outdoor seating. When I stepped inside, the cafe was completely full but there was no one in line to order. I placed a to-go order of hot chocolate, a breakfast sandwich, and a cinnamon roll. The hot chocolate is creamy and rich. Perfect for a dreary day! My egg sandwich was hot and delicious! The egg soufflé on the sandwich is top notch! I haven't tried the cinnamon roll yet, but the cashier said it was a good choice, so who am I disagree? lol anyways, I will def come back here for some delectable treats! Ps- they no longer offer WiFi. They encourage patrons to just sit and enjoy your food and then leave to make room for other patrons. A classic weekend spot for me! I'll stop here for a quick bite, coffee run, or sit down brunch. There are very little tables inside and some seating outside but be aware that you may not get a seat on busier days. All of their baked goods are delicious but my most recent visit was just a butter croissant and matcha. As a matcha lover, I'm a big fan that they hand whisk each order of matcha and I typically enjoy it with their house lavender syrup. Coffees won't take long at all but make sure you emphasize whether or not you want it hot or iced, I've had that mix up a couple of times. read more

Okay I'm going to start with the positive- the food and pastries here are DELICIOUS. The savory scone with goat cheese, shallots, and hot honey drizzle was sooooo good. It always disappoints me when coffee shops only serve cold brew but not regular iced coffee. I actually love cold brew but I just did not like theirs at all. What a cozy, wonderful place! Immediately you walk in and are greeted by a variety of scones, pies, cookies, and loaf cakes baked in the cafe. The menu is a simple one-page-that is easy to scan, though it's hard to choose between the eggs benedict, french toast, and breakfast sandwich. There was a constant flow of patrons on Tuesday morning, but there was pretty quick service to order. Their cafe sandwich was delicious in in every way: extremely light souffle egg, bouncy perfectly toasted english muffin, chewy bacon, roasted tomatoes and aioli added such wonderful flavor. I also tried their corn cookie -- it was buttery and chewy, and honey buttercream was sweet and paired well. The lemon meringue custard was a bit lumpy, but the flavor was good. The toasted meringue tasted like honey, and there was generous amount of it. The latte had great strong coffee flavor, good ratio of milk. Definitely pay a visit to this wonderful spot! read more

This is a super cute cafe in Shadyside! I felt like I was in a cafe somewhere in Europe. The butter croissant was the perfect flaky to buttery ratio and the cortado was delicious as well. The food came out relatively fast, despite it being busy. The cold brew coffee did curdle a bit, but otherwise tasted good. Adorable neighborhood place. I visited my friend and we went for. Later breakfast as she likes it. I had the breakfast sandwich and as others have said, add a meat (I did bacon to it). Very high quality ingredients though. She had the avocado toast which is a very generous portion. I don't drink coffee anymore but they looked like they knew their stuff and my friend enjoyed her. This cafe is rly cute vibes. On the corner of the street, people shuffling in and out. Flowers on the table. My beautiful girlfriend across from me : 3!! Whenever I'm in Pittsburgh to visit my daughter at the University of Pittsburgh, we come here for breakfast or lunch. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cute. If the weather is nice, it's great to sit outside. There are only two downsides. First, sometimes it can be hard to get a table because there are not many. More importantly though, the portion size is off. Today I ordered the tuna salad sandwich. It was $18. The sandwich size was modest and it came with nothing. The focaccia was perfect (nice crunchy exterior!) and the roasted tomatoes added great flavor, but it was not worth $18 ($21 with tax and tip) for a small sandwich the size of my hand. It would not be expensive to add a tiny side salad or a handful of chips. I think this will be my last visit due to the small portions. read more

Nice, cute corner cafe, super nice staff and amazing breakfast sandwiches. They have outdoor and indoor seating (shaded) and offer a wide variety of drinks, and breakfast sandwiches all day. Prices are pretty standard and they have extra sugar, creamer and syrup if you wish to sweeten up your drink more, which is a nice feature I haven't found many other places. I stopped by here this past Sunday with my wife and twins for our morning coffees. Every Sunday we try to hit up a new local coffee shop and on this day it happened to be Georgie's Corner Cafe. I have actually had this place bookmarked for a long time but it wasn't until I ran past it during the Pittsburgh marathon that I really wanted to go. We arrived to this restaurant at around 10 AM on a somewhat colder spring day to find the inside of this place packed. There were actually a couple of people standing around and waiting for tables even though there were plenty of outdoor tables empty. There was no one else ordering though and so we headed up to the counter to order. They had some merchandise type items on the shelf's there and then a bunch of pastries behind some protective glass. For our coffees on this morning I decided to go with a cappucino while my wife went with a mocha. Then both of my kids were drawn to their specialty cupcakes with flowers on them and so we bought one for each. Since the inside was crowded and my kids seemed to be getting in others way, I took them outside to play while my wife waited for our coffees. Not too long thereafter we had our coffees and while I thought we were leaving my kids had other ideas and so we enjoyed an outside table for a bit. My cappuccino from here ended up being quite good as I could definitely taste the coffee and the foam had a nice consistency to it. My wife also really enjoyed her mocha. Last but not least were the cupcakes which were chocolate and so I couldn't have any. My kids seemed to enjoy the icing on each and my wife let me know that the cupcake itself was some of the best that she has ever had. The bottom line for me is that i would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed the coffee and would be interested in trying some of their pastries and real food too. read more

This place has been on my list for awhile and then one of my co-workers recommended it, so I had to finally check it out! And it did not disappoint. When you walk in it is so cute inside, reminded me of a French bakery. It's small, so not a lot of seating but they do have some tables outside. We were there for breakfast and both had the breakfast sandwich. My husband had his on the homemade buttermilk biscuit and added a beyond sausage patty. I had mine on the chive English muffin. It came with a souffléd egg, cheddar cheese, arugula, roasted tomatoes and some kind of delicious sauce...I can't recall what it was. We both had iced coffee/latte and shared a pecan roll. The pecan roll was one of the best I have ever tasted, it was incredibly fresh. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they run a wonderful business because the flow of people in and out was consistent. I've always walked by Georgie's and finally decided to hop in for a quick bite! Things I liked: - service was fast! The person checking us out was really friendly. - I really liked being able to seat myself outside. They give you a number when you order and you choose your own spot. There's a decent amount of seating. - the salmon toast was good! The sourdough bread was super soft and not overly chewy like sourdough can get. I loved the crunchy radish. - the star of the show was the little tiny cake! So cute and so good! - the retail space has cute little chocolates, shirts, jams etc. great for gifts! - they carry wild rise bakery items!!! I am not gluten free but it's a good option, and I love their brownies :) Things I didn't like: - the americano was a little too acidic for my preferences - the prosciutto and Brie sandwich was my biggest let down. $15 and barely any filling. I could be wrong by the Brie and prosciutto were an exact match to the Aldi brand, which is cool just not for the cost. Bread was tough. - to get lunch for 2 (in our case 1 coffee, 1 toast, 1 sandwich, and 1 pastry it was about $50 which is a little out of my price range for the quality and portions. My new favorite cafe in shadyside! This cafe is a few blocks away from the main stretch of shops on walnut so it is not as crowded as other shops. I was able to easily get a table on a Friday afternoon and there were other open seats too. The chai tea latte I had was delicious and they had non dairy milk options. All of the pastries and breakfast sandwiches looked amazing and I am planning on coming back to try them out! The service was great and everyone was welcoming and friendly. The ambience was very enjoyable, each table had fresh flowers on it, there was lots of light, and the music playing was enjoyable. They have outdoor seating in the summer and since it was winter they have heating lamps outside. Overall a great cafe for a drink, a bite to eat, or to hang out at! read more

I saw fellow Yelpers check in and review the cafe, so decided to stop in while walking around Shadyside. It was after 2 pm when I stopped in and they were popping! (Good for them!) Service was friendly and welcoming. I ordered a cherry pie (as I saw someone bring out the pie new) and Arnold Palmer. After ordering at the counter, I took the last available seat at a table inside. They called my name when both the drink and pie was up. One confusing thing was the drink was placed in one end of the counter and the food at another spot, so I didn't realize the Arnold Palmer was already made. The Arnold Palmer is delightful. It isn't particularly sweet, so fit my tastes well. The cherry pie was tasty, with a strong crust. The only pitfall was I had mistakenly thought the person pulled it out of the oven or somewhere else, not a refrigerator. Alas, it was on the colder side. Had I known, I would have asked if they could warm it up. There's seating outside on Walnut and on the side street. Cute spot. I'll try again. read more

We came on a sat morning and this place was bustling! I tried their quiche with bacon, spinach and cheddar. It was quite good! The filling was a light custard that went so well with the crispy top and pie crust. I like that they put a little sticker on your drink, so you don't accidentally pick up someone else's order. My cappuccino was also pretty good. I got the strawberry oat bar to go, and it comes in this cute container. With the place being so busy in the morning, it didn't take long for our order to come. The staff was friendly. I also really liked sitting by the window. With the nice decor and pretty plates, it felt for a brief moment that we were somewhere in Europe. Good brunch spot with lots of food and drink options. I might even say that their food options are better than their drinks. I got a vanilla latte and a matcha latte. Both were quite sweet, and I was little disappointed that they didn't come with latte art. The matcha latte had a nice green color and I could taste the matcha flavor which was nice. For food, I tried the breakfast sandwich and it was my favorite thing here for sure. The English muffins were nicely toasted outside and soft inside. The egg is so so fluffy and tasted great with the melted cheese. However, it's pretty small and I probably should've added bacon. Lastly, I tried the salmon toast and it was good but did not stand out. The bread was way too thick and hard to eat compared to the amount of salmon given. I did like the cream cheese a lot and the salmon tasted fresh. It's definitely a popular spot and gets crowded, so definitely come early! This is a great spot, the Shadyside area has been missing a place like this. It's over-priced, but fairly competitive for the location. It's a nice place to sit outside for sure. People sit and talk outside and work on mobile devices inside. It's very low key. The coffee is decent (Coffee Tree Roasters is better) and they have some other bottled/cold options for beverages (teas/juices) that are nice. The produce is very fresh. The tuna melt I had was off the chain! The tuna salad was very nostalgic, great bread and it was a good prep for take out. I have not tried the pastries but they look very good.
