My visit was okay but the staff is very nice and kind. My drink was overly sweet and I didn't expect this at all. My burrito was not great, bland and really not very good so I don't recommend the sweet potato black bean burrito. It was served mildly cold on the inside, barista did offer to fix it but it was still cold the second time as well, I just didn't feel like bothering any further so I ate a bit of it and threw it out. I would suggest a microwave to heat them because they're thick and the potatoes inside are cold. Warming a burrito on the griddle/press just doesn't seem like the best option. The cafe is nicely lit, well sized, and offers plenty seating. Great spot to come in and sit down, they also have outdoor seating. Parking appears to be on street and it's pretty easy to locate. I was not overly impressed by the food/drink options here but the staff and vibes made the visit enjoyable. If I came again I would opt for just drip coffee and a bakery item as those looked great in the case.

Hot Vanilla Latte and The Forgotten Flour Maple Pecan Bar

This Commonplace Coffee location in Rockwell Park is a nice open concept. There is plenty of seating. Came here for a workday and enjoyed my experience. The vanilla latte was good (as always) and I tried a pecan bar from The Forgotten Flour which was SO good! It was pretty sweet but tasted like pecan pie in a bar form! The service was good - extremely helpful with any questions or tips. I do wish they had bigger tables or seating arrangements for larger parties (we had to push 2 tables together).

Lots of space inside with a good vibe. It has couches as well as table seating inside and several tables outside too. Lots of outlets and was even an outlet outside for those whose laptops don't hold a charge but want to work outside. Gluten free treats as well as regular. I got the pumpkin spice latte and it was subtle which I appreciated!

I liked this place a lot. It is set in an industrial space and has an ergonomic look, if that even applies. There are lots of coffee beans to buy and pick, as well as drink offerings. I wished the staff knew the provenance of their beans, but all the information is on display in the sales area so even if they cannot answer that question, the answer is a few feet away. Coffee was good, options are good, space is awesome, pastries are available, like I said this is a cool place.

Such a fun coffee shop to meet up with friends, get some work done, or just grab a drink. Located in the east end co-op area, this coffee shop is a great option if you are in the area. Parking is less than ideal if you do not work and are able to park in a lot nearby, but I got here early and was able to find some street parking thankfully. Very industrial style space with plenty of tables, couches, and natural light which I love. I tried a latte with their homemade sweet oak syrup which was quite tasty. They have lots of flavor, dairy, and drink options. The service was great and I would definitely come back!

What a hopping gem of a place! Great stop for your coffee and breakfast treat. I really like their breakfast sandwich, burritos are great as well but the square egg in the sandwich makes me giggle and taste great. You can find a spot to work, relax, mingle, maybe play a game with a friend. There is a nice covered area to sit outside to drink coffee too for those warmer rainy days. The people working were lovely and fun to engage with.

Congrats to the opening of Commonplace's new Rockwell Park location!! It's my first visit to this location and it's definitely not going to be the last. That being said, I love this place - it's has the most spacey and modern interior and I personally enjoy so much! I ordered a Cortado, perfect as always. They have more food options here, good for both breakfast and lunch, will come back and try more! Highly recommend.

Great place to study or to have your main character moment reading books there is their own parking if you go around 11 am, but if you go in the afternoon, you might have to park few minutes away. Staff are very kind and the people that goes her are kind too! Sometimes I can't find charging stations based on where I am sitting. I would recommend having your computer fully charged or bring your fav book to read!

I stopped by here this past Sunday with my wife and kids for our morning coffee. Every Sunday we try to go to a new coffee place and on this morning we decided on this location of commonplace coffee. It's located in the building where 3M is in Rockwell Park and even with our GPS we actually had a little bit of trouble trying to find it. Once inside though I found the place to be inviting and fairly busy. It's large too with plenty of seating and space for many people. The floors are finished concrete and then the ductwork is exposed. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large latte with sweet oak while my wife went with a mocha. Finally we added a croissant to share between the two of us. We started off with the croissant and both thought it was good. It was clearly a sourdough croissant and had a nice tang to it. I can imagine it would have been better warm, but we still enjoyed the flavor of it. After that I was able to try my coffee. Honestly, i didn't know what to expect from a sweet oak flavoring. An oakes Chardonnay like flavor? Even after having it I still couldn't tell you exactly what it tasted like but it did add a nice and subtle sweetness to my drink. There was a good ratio of coffee to milk in it too where I could taste both the coffee and the whole milk. My wife thought her mocha was rich and delicious. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed our coffees and thought that the croissant was good as well.

Custom London Fog cold tea (Earl Grey with milk and lavender syrup)
    Kristen E.

Spacious new(ish) coffee shop in the new office park across from the co-op. I tried an iced London fog while getting some work done on my computer with the free wifi. Quick snacks uncluding multiple vegan options are available. There are also comfy seating options if you'd rather chat with friends or curl up with a book, and there are metal tables and chairs on the multi-level patio outside in both sun and shade. One detail I assume they're still working on is customer restrooms; currently you have to use the all-gender stall in the shower room for bicycle commuters which requires going outside and then in another door. -1 star because while this restroom is wheelchair accessible and there are ramps to the front door, to get there from the parking lot in the back you have to 1) go across gravel, 2) hope no one parked in front of the sidrwalk curb cut, or 3) use the street to get to the other curb cut.

    Indoor seating.

My first time visiting the Commonplace Coffee in Rockwell Park. We were participating in a Saturday art show upstairs in the same building, so the location was very convenient for me and many other visitors. The was a decent line when I arrived, but things moved quickly as they were well staffed. I ordered a large peppermint mocha off the special menu as well as a cinnamon roll. Both were pretty good. The mocha wasn't too hot when I got it like at some places, but that allowed me to try it right away. Not too strong of a peppermint flavor which I know scares some people away from trying such seasonal drinks, so this could be a good one for first timers to try. That place was nice with plenty of seating and a big garage door that can open in warmer months.

Got an iced latte and breakfast sandwiches. The latte was decent but I wouldn't recommend the breakfast sandwich. I loved that there were lots of space inside - perfect for a study/work session!

A refrigerator contained yogurts, juices, oat milk, and other bottled beverages. Shelves held bags of coffees and kettles. Employees kindly took my husband's order and payment and promptly made our beverages. Some tables and chairs were inside the cafe, so we sat down to enjoy our beverages. Other customers were using the dining area to read, spend time with family and friends, and work on laptops. I rate the Chai Latte has 5 stars and the holiday Sugar Plum Latte as 4.5 stars. We enjoyed their flavors. Each beverage was 12 ounces, and their total price was $11 plus tax and tip. I did notice that the cafe was very humid because of the cold weather outside and the many customers inside. The windows had much condensation. I wonder if a dehumidifer would reduce the indoor humidity.

One note is, I think they have a wifi limit where only a certain number of people can connect. I tried all night to get a connection and could not for any of my devices, nor could my friend. Overall the ambiance is catered toward chatting rather than studying as the tables are very small and slow or no wifi. I like the night vibes it has though, we need more late night 3rd spaces like this one!! I got a hummus plate and ginger tea. The ginger tea was just okay. The ginger was overpowering in not a good way. It highlighted the spiciness of ginger without letting any type of "tea flavor" through. It tasted more like ginger water. For a tea house, I thought it would have more depth. The hummus platter was very yummy! The pita was warm and the olive oil on the hummus added a nice touch to it. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more had the tables not been as wobbly, the WiFi worked at any point, the tea had a bit more nuance to it, and the cloying smell wasn't there. It is a very good chatting spot for late night meetings ups with great food!

For my coffee this morning I went with a butter beer cold brew while my wife went with an iced Almond Joy latte. The menu described mine as cold brew with butterscotch syrup and cheesecake sweet cream. My wife's was described as just like the candy bar with dark chocolate and coconut topped with coconut flakes. My coffee actually ended up tasting pretty good. The butterscotch tasted somewhat similar to caramel but the cold brew was definitely the star. It was rich and strong which I always appreciate. The cheesecake sweet cream was also a nice addition as it was sweet like you would expect but also had a bit of tartness that reminded me of actual cheesecake.
