Honey saffron iced latte
Maansi S.

This coffee shop is decorated so nicely inside. I was expecting the honey saffron latte to be super sweet, but thankfully it was not. I will say the coffee was a tad overpriced for the amount of coffee, but this is a nice cafe to come to for the occasional cup of coffee.

Really nice study cafe, good long tables and quick delicious coffee. Mexican mocha is a bit strong and black sesame latte is a bit sweet. Wish they had more outlets. Feels very zen-y lol but its also connected to a brewery?? Best feature: big table space.

New but easily one of my favorite coffee shops and study spots. I was there three times in the first week I tried it out. The place is conjoined with Lorelei but is a cafe in the daytime. Service is wonderful and ambiance is amazing. This place is beautiful, yet still cozy. It has lots of seating, which is wonderful. I never have to worry about there being no seats when I get here. There's also a variety of parking and transportation options nearby. Truly convenient from every aspect. I wish it was open later in the day but it's motivated me to wake up earlier just to come here and study. What really makes it one of my favorite coffee shops now is its menu. I absolutely love the different variety of drinks that I haven't seen anywhere else. My favorites are the honey saffron and black sesame. The black sesame is a bit on the sweet side, but still gave me a wonderful impression.

Seating

The aesthetic of the entrance is beautiful, but completely dampened by its horrifying placement. The layout of the front requires one to nearly open the door into the front counter. Upon entering, you will almost certainly nearly collide with another coffee lover. Our party got the saffron honey latte and a cold brew. The saffron honey latte was fine. Really no saffron in the building. The saffron and honey flavors were completely overpowered by the coffee and milk but I like coffee so it's fine. The cold brew was STRONG! I liked this. It hit my stomach like a nuclear bomb in a pleasant way. The interior was adorable. The mural, seating, and overall vibe of the building were serene. The cup for the cold brew was very smooth and nice to sip from. I wouldn't recommend but it wasn't horrible. We would rank this a 2.5/5.

Cute little coffee shop nestled in between the Lorelai bar and beer hall. I hadn't even known this was added until I was walking by one day. It's a small shop, but you can take your coffee and sit in the Lorelai or Beer Hall space. They have some unique drink options. I got the honey saffron latte and it was delicious! The barista was very friendly for an added bonus. Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops of all time (not even just in PGH!). They not only use excellent coffee (I believe it's same owners as KLVN?) but they also have lots of inventive latte flavors and non-coffee drinks that rotate regularly. I usually get a flat white, but would also recommend the black sesame latte, houjicha, brown sugar latte, cardamom latte, and Mexican mocha. Everything else is probably great too tbh. The vibes are also immaculate. LOVE the ceramic ware and overall aesthetic of the working spaces. Kira is also so cool and kind (and makes fantastic espresso!).

Passed this place on the way to somewhere else, and I had to pop over on my way back. Very cute decor inside.. Kind of like a pop-up coffee bar between two bars/cafes. Simple menu. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Got an oat milk cardamom latte and it was very sweet but good.

A wonderful coffee shop . Enjoyed a hot yummy Black Sesame latte. Relaxed space with great drinks. I definitely plan to return and recommend.

Extremely knowledgeable barista helped guide me to a great coffee. Iced orange blossom latte is subtle but fragrant. The espresso tonic is also very interesting but really good. Tastes like a sparkling coffee!!! Huge space- great for coffee dates, meeting a group or sitting solo to get some work done!

Gave drink in plastic cup even though everyone else had it in glass. Did not even ask if I wanted it for here or to go. Staff not super helpful. Got the cardamom latte, was good but way too sweet.

Black sesame flavor was strong which was super tasty. But it was $8 which is insane. Lots of tables, plants, and few people!

Good coffee but prices are steep for what you are getting. You are paying for the hipster ambiance here and NOT the coffee

It has a roastery, bakery, and several cafes in Southwestern Pennsylvania, and it provides training and equipment to other businesses. My husband and I were customers of this cafe in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood one time. The menu listed coffees, espressos, lattes, teas, hot cocoa, cookies, muffins, scones, sandwiches, etcetera. A refrigerator contained yogurts, juices, oat milk, and other bottled beverages. Shelves held bags of coffees and kettles. Employees kindly took my husband's order and payment and promptly made our beverages. Some tables and chairs were inside the cafe, so we sat down to enjoy our beverages. Other customers were using the dining area to read, spend time with family and friends, and work on laptops. I rate the Chai Latte has 5 stars and the holiday Sugar Plum Latte as 4.5 stars. We enjoyed their flavors. Each beverage was 12 ounces, and their total price was $11 plus tax and tip. I did notice that the cafe was very humid because of the cold weather outside and the many customers inside. The windows had much condensation. I wonder if a dehumidifer would reduce the indoor humidity.

The front has some wicker chairs and tables which are very small. As you move toward the back there are small sitting rooms where you take off your shoes and sit on a padded "floor". The back has some more chairs and tables. Outlets are hard to find. You most likely will share a sitting area as well. One note is, I think they have a wifi limit where only a certain number of people can connect. I tried all night to get a connection and could not for any of my devices, nor could my friend. Overall the ambiance is catered toward chatting rather than studying as the tables are very small and slow or no wifi. I like the night vibes it has though, we need more late night 3rd spaces like this one!! I got a hummus plate and ginger tea. The ginger tea was just okay. The ginger was overpowering in not a good way. It highlighted the spiciness of ginger without letting any type of "tea flavor" through. It tasted more like ginger water. For a tea house, I thought it would have more depth. The hummus platter was very yummy! The pita was warm and the olive oil on the hummus added a nice touch to it. I think I would have enjoyed the experience more had the tables not been as wobbly, the WiFi worked at any point, the tea had a bit more nuance to it, and the cloying smell wasn't there. It is a very good chatting spot for late night meetings ups with great food!

I honestly have not been in the area much lately and was surprised to see its prime location on South Highland in that East Liberty, Shadyside and Friendship corridor. The inside of the shop was packed by the time we got inside so I did not get to see much of it other than the coffee bar and the large selection of baked goods. For my coffee this morning I went with a butter beer cold brew while my wife went with an iced Almond Joy latte. The menu described mine as cold brew with butterscotch syrup and cheesecake sweet cream. My wife's was described as just like the candy bar with dark chocolate and coconut topped with coconut flakes. My coffee actually ended up tasting pretty good. The butterscotch tasted somewhat similar to caramel but the cold brew was definitely the star. It was rich and strong which I always appreciate. The cheesecake sweet cream was also a nice addition as it was sweet like you would expect but also had a bit of tartness that reminded me of actual cheesecake. My wife also enjoyed her coffee and especially liked the combination of chocolate, coconut and coffee flavors. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed our drinks and I would definitely be interested in trying some of the pastries next time.

I chose a filled donut with chocolate icing and hubby got a jelly filled donut. Both are very good. Love the friendly, quick service from the employees. They never rush you and are so kind. There is a main level dining area and an upper area (3-4 steps or a lift) with plenty of small tables and chairs, upholstered chairs with tables, and an enclosed room for serious studying. WiFi. I truly enjoyed their pecan roll, but all their pastries are pretty solid, especially love that they come from a variety of other local businesses. I think it's not my go to for coffee in the area but pretty reliable for a pastry and one of the easiest places to find a seat to study/do work.
