I've been coming to Espresso a Mano for over 15 years, when they first opened in Lawrenceville. And while I don't get here as often these days, I am so glad they continue to thrive and the vibe, the service and the coffee remains amazing. Theor prices are reasonable and their staff are consistently friendly - and worth a visit!

A review for Scone Ranger: Pop up scone bakery! Scone Ranger offers the full ranger which is 2 scones with 3 flavors of dips. The sweet summer corn butter was the best of the 3, absolutely a must try on top of a fluffy crumbly scone. The service was helpful and clearly devoted to their scone craft! However a bit pricey for 2 small scones and 3 dips to go with. A nice treat on a Saturday morning coffee run and addition to a latte!

Short line on a Friday morning that moved quickly. Delicious drip coffee and a selection of pastries and a couple breakfast burritos on the menu. I tried the bacon burrito that came with eggs, potatoes, and cheese. Hot sauce is in the cooler. The hot sauce added the perfect amount of spice. We ended up sitting inside to eat and there were a bunch of small tables inside and one or two outside. Great big windows that let lots of morning sun in, a lovely place for your morning pick me up.

For an iced vanilla and iced maple cinnamon latte, both were very good and I can tell the espresso they use is chefs kiss my new go to for weekend coffee!!

Walked in on a Saturday morning and immediately loved the vibes of the coffee shop. Lots of locals enjoying the space. Decent amount of seating. The staff were friendly and provided good recommendations. I got a honey latte and my husband had an Americano- both were very good! Would definitely recommend if you are in the area (also a great spot to grab a coffee and walk the street outside!)

This place is so cute inside! Definitely a great place to hang out and get some delicious coffee. I really liked my latte and they do some really pretty latte art. Staff was nice and service was quick too. I would totally come back here to do work and chill. They also carry some pastries too that looked really good. Have to come back and try them!!

If you are in the Lawrenceville area and in need for some caffeine, I highly recommend Espresso a Mano! Both the baked goods and the coffee are insanely tasty for the price. Whenever I stop by I usually grab a latte and a blueberry muffin. They have never disappointed! The Lawrenceville location is a little small, but it's also very cozy. Local artwork is up on the walls for sale which I find to be fun! The baristas are always friendly and work exceptionally fast.

My dirty matcha wasn't on the menu, but the staff was more than happy to make it for me. I loved the atmosphere and vibe. I opted for all substitutions, including dairy-free options, with oat milk in mine. They were worried about dairy-related issues on my flight back home

Cute little coffee shop. They have all the basics plus some yummy eats. The staff is pretty rad. Cash is preferred. Street parking is available.

I like stopping here on my way to get my nails done. The service is always fast and the employees are always pleasant. The iced lattes are always my go to!

Congrats David on your new baby!!! What a great spot. I am not sure who David is but I think he is the owner or an employee but he just had a baby and the community was signing cards for him to congratulate him. Enough said. Great people and great service and very cool chill atmosphere. And for the important part - the coffee - it is excellent. Best in the area in my opinion. We rented an Airbnb for our extended familia about a 10-15 min walk maybe 4 min drive and I ended up picking up 6 cappuccinos every morning for everyone cause that's how I roll. Let's just say no one was disappointed. Enjoy.

Decent coffee, kudos for use of space, customer service was lacking. Glad to see the old neighborhood getting a new life! On street parking was convenient.

    Do they have almond milk?

Yes! And they also have oat milk, which is a better dairy-free option for espresso drinks because of how it responds to being steamed. Highly recommended from this lactose-intolerant coffee lover.

After walking around the neighborhood, this one had seating, so we went inside. First, I'll say the coffee we tried was pretty good - a cappuccino and a brown sugar cinnamon latte. The barista asked "for here or to go" and the drinks still came in a paper cup anyway despite us saying "for here". I really enjoy having a coffee in an actual glass/mug when I say "for here". The ambiance was a bit confusing... not really sure what they were going for in the space, things were a bit choppy and thrown together. Kinda felt like you were in someone's garage with cluttered items on rickety shelves behind the counter. Our barista was very nice, but an awkward moment occurred when they were ringing us up - barista asked for a tip but then told us not to put the tip on the credit card because the owner steals from them. We felt this was a little uncomfortable and gave some unwelcoming energy. We also tried a Nutella croissant, which was very good! I think this shop has a lot of potential with some changes to service and decor.

Constellation came highly recommended from a couple very reputable sources but I've now been twice…read moreand very disappointed both times. The first time I ordered an espresso beverage with the light roast option and what I received did not taste anything close to light. Both visits, staff were cold and acted annoyed with the questions I had about their beans/coffee offerings. I would recommend klvn and ghost coffee as superior alternatives. Was really hoping to like this cafe.

Constellation is one of my two favorite cafes in Pittsburgh, along with Espresso a Mano. While I…read morethink Espresso a Mano has the better espresso drinks,* Constellation has fantastic pour over: You won't find a better selection of high-end coffee beans anywhere else in Pittsburgh, and no other cafe in the city comes close. The bean offerings are always excellent, varied, and carefully curated. Selecting among them may feel intimidating, but the baristas are very knowledgeable and helpful. If you don't have much or any experience with pour over coffee, you should make sure to ask them for suggestions, and they will guide you towards a good selection. If you are coffee snob with a rotating selection of extra-light beans on your kitchen counter... well you should still chat with the baristas and they can tell you all about what they offer, what tasting notes to expect, what they are excited about, and so on. I am in the latter category, and I always enjoy chatting with the baristas here and learning about their coffee. I also appreciate that, in the summer, you can choose to have a Japanese-style iced pour over (the one that's brewed hot directly onto ice). You don't find that often in cafes, and certainly nowhere else in Pittsburgh. Besides coffee, the ambiance is great. There is not much traffic, so it's a pretty calm place to sit down and work or read a book. I love sitting at the large table in the back room for a few hours and working from there, while enjoying a cup or two of different pour overs. Overall, we are lucky to have Constellation . While Pittsburgh can't compare with the "third-wave" coffee scene in cities like Seattle or Vancouver, Constellation can certainly compete with the best cafes in such cities. *The espresso here is also great, don't get me wrong, especially when they offer a light roast. But I just like the one at Espresso a Mano better. I do wish Constellation offered an espresso flight; given the variety of beans they offer, that would be a unique coffee-drinking experience.
