Drinks are reasonably priced, especially in comparison to other coffee shops. The coffee is also so high quality. They have pastries including some gluten free! The gf chocolate chip scone is one of the best I've had. You can definitely still have a conversation there but I would say most people are pretty locked into their work so it is also a good place to focus. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not a lot of typical table and chair setups (mostly couches and shared tables), plus overhead music was loud. I only had a premade bottled drink so can't comment on coffee. Barista was friendly. I really don't know why this is on so many lists of places to get work done. It's a beautiful place with a laudable mission, but don't expect to plop down at a private table and get in the flow of work.

The company appears to have expanded its business supplying coffee to local restaurants, so the shop is often busy packing enormous orders. Fortunately, this hasn't detracted from the retail experience. The staff remains courteous and friendly, and the coffee is still excellent. One could even argue that the increased volume has made it better, since greater turnover means fresher coffee--not that freshness was ever a problem before. Their tea selection also remains one of the best in the city. I continue to highly recommend Nicholas Coffee and Tea. The quality and prices are hard to beat.

It was so good that I practically finished the entire latte within minutes! They even added the cutest little touch to my cup, which made the experience feel that much more thoughtful and special. It's those small details that really make a place memorable. The customer service was top-tier from beginning to end.
