We have been customers here since they first opened in Orleans Square (in the former location on other side of Dunkin'). Over the past year or so the quality of the pressing has gotten worse: I would notice a dress come back with creases but nothing too dramatic. On my most recent visit, however, they creased the heck out of a jumper and a pair of pants but worst of all: they have ruined a skirt of mine! The fabric seems to be scorched! I will never return to this business, and I do not recommend you use them unless you have washing only like maybe a bedspread or perhaps just to launder items. The lady here is so awful and evil. She destroyed my blanket and then made me pay for it and offered no discount. They do not clean anything in their location and whoever they outsourced to is horrible. This blanket means the world to me - I told them that and they destroyed it and then she called the Constable and police on me over $22 fee she made me pay to get MY property and blanket back that she destroyed. Never ever come here this is the worse service I have ever received they are heartless inhumane horrible horrible humans to treat a kind single mother like this you kuntze as well burn your money they are the worse in the area . They treat customer poorly rip you off and steal from you and damage your property. I am no longer a customer of George's Cleaners! The white dress I dropped off for dry cleaning is now pink. I returned today to see if they were able to correct the color or would compensate me for the dress, and the owner was not willing to take any responsibility. He tried to convince me that the lining of the dress was never white. He even tried to educate me that thread cannot be dyed and the thread on the lining is pink which means it was always pink. I showed him a picture of me wearing the dress and he agreed the dress looked white. However, he remained defiant that the issue is with the dress manufacturer and not his dry cleaning. When I asked to at least be reimbursed for the dry cleaning fee (since I had already paid for the cleaning), he refused! He insisted it wasn't their fault so I was not due for a refund. Regardless, for the sake of doing what is right for the customer, reimbursing $5 (or whatever amount I paid) for cleaning would go a long way to at least acknowledge that you value the customer and want to maintain their business. I will never do business with this cleaners again! If I were you, I would think twice about bringing anything white to this cleaners. read more

George's Cleaners ruined 7 pairs of Lucky Brand Jeans worth $99 each. They totally disregarded the care label inside the jeans and used improper cleaning methods and/or chemicals. I've been washing these jeans myself for months with no issue but when I pay an expert to clean them...they get ruined! Whatever they did caused the leather waistband tags to shrivel and harden to the point of being brittle. Then the dye in the leather leached onto the fabric of the jeans and turned them a slight dingy brown. Last but certainly not least, the jeans faded from a med-dark blue jean to an 80's stone wash look. The manager has been abrasive, confrontational, and rude. He refuses to replace the very expensive jeans that he has ruined and says that it wasn't his fault even though it happened in his store, with his machines, and his workers. read more

So I dropped off my comforter on a Tuesday to be dry cleaned and paid right then and there. They told me that it would be ready by Thursday evening. I wasn't able to actually pick up till Saturday due to my schedule. When he brought it to me I went ahead and opened the bag to check everything. As I unfolded the comforter it was still wet and had a musky odor. I was not happy and there was only one person there and no manger. He said that he could have it re done on Monday but it wouldn't be ready to be picked up till Wednesday. I then called on Monday asking to speak to a manger and I don't know if I was or not explain the situation and that person didn't even try to fix anything or didn't even seem to care. So I went on Thursday to pick up and asked to speak to a manger because I was very unhappy with the service. The person said he would be in tomorrow (Friday) I said ok I'll come by then to talk to him and pick up the comforter. I went in on Friday to speak to the Owner named Son I explained to him why I was not happy and that was because I came to pick up my comforter and it was still wet and smelled like mildew. I had to go buy another comforter because I had guest staying with me and the comforter I dropped off wasn't properly done (still wet in a bag). He then told me that when I drop off the comforter it was wet and they had properly dry cleaned it. He then starting arguing with me and refused to give me my money back and told me to get the f*** out of his place. I told him the comforter still smelled like s*** (burnt). He then told me that if I felt like that he would get all his employees to come smell it and I said that of course they will say it smelt fine because they work for you. He then said he did not appreciate my language and I needed to leave his store since it smelt like s***. Another gentleman came in and the owner stop talking to me and ignored me to help the guy. After the guy left I asked one more time for my money back because I was not happy with the service. He said no because they re dry cleaned my comforter and me buying another comforter was not his problem and should go take it back. I told him I would make sure I was going to write a review and he said be careful what I say because it will come back on me. I used them for years....but will never again. I took two pair of jeans to be hemmed since they did a good job on my last pair. when I got them back they legs on BOTH were noticeably two different lengths AND THEY WERE TOO SHORT. The girl working there pinned them while I had my highest pair of heels on and now I can't even where them with tennis shoes. These were each $75 jeans and they didn't even apologize. He tried to make me feel like I did something wrong. I will NEVER go back. read more
