I've always put up with lackluster service and non competitive prices, with ok work to support…read morelocal businesses but this last visit was the last straw. Typically, the proprietor is short on words or chatty with offending comments. I mean dude is ALWAYS asking me if I took the day off if I show up on a week day during business hours, like "why?". Never fails, it's like he can't believe I have a job where I can run errands during the day. Every "chatty" day, he always wants to know what I do for a living. But I digress, on this occasion dude meandered to greet us after about three minutes of looking up, making eye contact, finished whatever he was doing for another 3 minutes or so and was like "what can I do for you?" In the most annoyed tone. I stated my daughter needed to have a hem altered and my wife needed a zipper fixed. Dude said "ok' and walked away. I instructed my daughter to go change, he came out another 5 minutes later and hastily marked her gown and again disappeared. When my daughter finished changing dude annoyingly asked if a week later was fine and rudely instructed me to "pay now."after finishing the transaction he took the pants that needed a zipper and hung them up in the walkway with the ticket for BOTH garments and left to finish whatever he was doing again without a single word. No "thank you", no "good bye" not a fucking word. Keep in mind my daughter was still standing there holding the SECOND garment. I had to grab, the pants and hang the gown with the pants to lessen the chance the two would be separated. He watched me do all of this and didn't even feign concern. I returned a week later to receive the $60 of work with pretty much the same attitude. By now I knew not to expect a shred of decorum or respect so I just handed him the ticket had my daughter try on the dress(he disappeared after handing me the garments), and walked out without a word after seeing the fit. I'm done with the place, the work has always been average at best, and the cost has always been exorbitant. Dude clearly doesn't want to work anymore and needs to sell the business and hang it up.

The staff there did the research and made sure the cord they had worked for me (it was a baby lock cord), since I couldn't bring my machine in to check. They got the cord and I was so excited to see they had the floriani thread I've been trying to find in stores. 10/10 would recommend. They're very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do!!

I called OnCall Tailors and within 12 hours they had came, taken the measurements and delivered it back to me. I couldn't believe how amazing these guys are and quick. Umm...yeah, they're only getting *any* stars because I did get what I asked for…read more.. I went in for a complimentary measurement, and we'll say that the lady helping me was quite...curt. "Like, what are you getting measured for?? A shirt?? A tux you're gonna get somewhere else??" Um, I just needed measurements. I mainly wanted to know about my upper body, but I went ahead and asked to her do the whole form so I'll have it and know. That led to some pulling and tugging that did make me tense up like, "Ma'am, I don't mean to inconvenience you." So I got my measurements, I was satisfied, I looked at a suede shoe and got out of there. So: one star for questionable service, another star for being open, a third star for masks and social distancing, and a fourth one because I did get what I went in for. But no need to be so rude.
