Yall the B-Sew Inn saved my event!! I was embroidering at an event nearby and I'd forgotten the cord to my brother embroidery machine. I called them because it was going to be an hour drive home for me to get it. The staff there did the research and made sure the cord they had worked for me (it was a baby lock cord), since I couldn't bring my machine in to check. They got the cord and I was so excited to see they had the floriani thread I've been trying to find in stores. 10/10 would recommend. If it weren't for the oddly positioned location - I'd give 5 stars. Maybe it's just me, but the trek across FM1960 into Humble is daunting at times & crossing over US-59 is just congested, so be prepared to get frustrated. That said - B-Sew Inn is quaint. The staff are nice, helpful, and will go above and beyond to ensure you have what you need. If for some reason they DON'T have it in store, they'll gladly order it and will even ensure you get it as expeditiously as possible. What you WILL find: -This shop hosts classes, an Emerald club (extra perks for the avid sewist/quilter), and a plethora of patterns, notions, and thread. -A healthy collection of Accuquilt dies and mats if you fancy the system. -They are also a Bernina & BabyLock dealer & house a good assortment of machines to explore! What you WON'T find: -Fabric. If you're looking for a healthy collection of fabric... you won't find it here. -Late(r) hours. Like most "quilt" shops, they close at 5pm. -Extremely easy access. If you aren't aware of the location or aren't familiar with the opposite side of FM1960/US-59, you may miss the store altogether. It is just past the overpass/bypass and on the left-hand side. If you pass the traffic light, make a u-turn - you'll see the store on the right... thank me later. I still recommend stopping by if in the area. Their prices are reasonable and a fantastic option if you need something in a crunch! I have been coming to B Sew In, Formerly known as Sew Vac since 2007, where i purchased my 1st 6 needle, now the 10 needle since 2017, If I wasn't for Brad and his team, I don't think I would have lasted this long in business myself if it wasn't for Brad. They are an incredibly honest company. The tech Najeeb Mashie is awesome. I took my machine to another store in the fall. They didn't fix it and took it again, charged again and said it was user error. I then took it to B Sew Inn. When I got it home, it wasn't working and I returned it back to the store. Since I had to return it they stood behind their warranty. They had to trouble shoot it with the Babylock main tech team. They had to replace the motor and another part. That part was on back order. Took five months to get in. It's working beautifully and because they honored their ninety day warranty it saved me hundreds of dollars. I live in Katy and drive the 49 miles there. All their staff are great and knowledgeable. It's worth the drive to deal with an honest business. By the way their 90 day warranty is the best in the Houston area. Their pricing on new machines is the best too. You won't be sorry going there. read more

My mother was looking for a particular sewing machine and when we walked in Sam was the first to greet us...he was friendly, and ready to help. My mom had plenty of questions and he was able to answer them for her. It is a bit pricey...but if you a serious about sewing, quilting, embroidery, crafting etc. this is a good place to check out. But we did have a hard time locating the place, it is in a bad location...kinda hidden...so you do need to map it out. But overall check it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I went in to learn about different options in machines and was given a great breakdown of what was available and what features each had. I made my choice and was given a great deal. I have purchased several machines for myself and my daughter from this store. Recently took my embroidery machine in for problems with bobbin tension. Service was expensive ($125). When I picked up the repaired machine, I asked the cause of the problem. The reply I received was that it had been serviced, and was fixed. I explained that I wanted to know what the problem was, and that I did not want to pay for a repair that I did not know what was repaired. The response was that it had been fixed. I could not get an explanation of what had been repaired. I have since left 3 phone messages for store owner to call me so I could discuss this with him. He has not returned any of my phone calls. I cannot believe the poor service at this store! In the past, this store was very customer service oriented. No longer !! I cannot recommend this store. I'm in the market for a walking foot for one of my sewing machines. Humble Sewing Center is listed as the closest authorized retailer for the brand I have. Before making the (out of my way) drive, I called the shop. I explained that I have a walking foot on a different machine, but I haven't been happy with the results from it, and I want to be sure this machine can handle the extra weight of a walking foot before investing in one. I asked if it would be possible to either test the foot out in the store or to return it if it didn't work out. The woman I spoke with told me that, while they didn't offer returns, I could bring my machine in and test the foot out in the store. So I loaded up my machine and went to the store. A different woman greeted me. I explained what I was there for and was flummoxed when I was told that would not be possible. I explained that I'd called earlier and had been assured that I could test out the foot and mentioned who I'd talked to. This woman went and talked (presumably) to the first woman only to come back and reiterate that they would not let me test the foot before buying it. They offered no explanation and no apology for why I'd been told something completely different over the telephone. I made the trip based on the information provided when I called. How infuriating to find I'd wasted my time and energy. I will not be returning. read more

I recently went to this place to have them check out a machine they had previously tuned up. They wanted me to pay their $99 + tax fee in order to verify I had threaded my machine correctly. On a machine they had supposed tuned up. Since this place changed hands several years ago, their customer service has gone into the toilet. Terrible, terrible, terrible. If it needs to be repaired or you are looking to buy new, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO THIS BUSINESS. I have purchased a total of 5 machines here, 4 before they changed hands and 1 after. Sad to post a negative review, but I felt is was necessary as a warning to others. Girlfriend and I went to them needing a belt for a vintage machine and brought the original. Attendant brought out a couple of options to choose from and we selected the one that was closest in size. Associate knew it wasn't an exact match in size or profile and didn't mention this part would incur a different return policy from what was printed on their receipt. Unfortunately it didn't fit. The receipt says no refunds, all sales are final as well as exchanges only within 7 days so we were expecting an exchange, not a refund. It turns out no exchanges allowed on belts and electrical parts even though we were not told nor does the receipt offer that exclusion.
