I came here for a pedicure and had a decent experience until I saw them saving the used paraffin wax to put back into the melting machine. I was horrified and just wanted to rush home to wash off the bacteria from the unsanitary materials they had used on my feet. I urge everyone to stay away from this place (I even managed to snap a photo of them keeping the used wax); that must be why the place is so empty.

This is now my go-to nail place!! I found this place on yelp and they had good pricing and open availability so a friend and I went to check it out and pamper ourselves. I got a gel-x manicure+pedi and my friend got a regular manicure+pedi and we both really enjoyed our experience! I wanted to do a Disney pattern and I showed Kim the pictures of what I wanted and she did an amazing job at duplicating the pattern and color matching. She listened to what I wanted and took her time being so meticulous. I was very impressed and love how my nails turned out!! Tracy did both of our pedi's and she did my friends' mani and she was also really good! She took her time and even heavily scraped away at my callouses (more than other places). She was really nice and both of them chatted us up. Overall, I had a great experience! It was clean, lots of easy parking, and Kim & Tracy were really great!! I will definitely be coming back!

this nail place is nice and decent yesterday was 2nd time coming. price was changed drastically from first time i alwayd get the shortest full set with gel and basic french tip and acrylic on tip of my toes with gel. thr price 150$ never been charfed so much got no design ecd. ill post pic they are cute but definitely over charged, and she said she gave me a deal. wanted to charge me 96$ just for feet and i only got callous remover no massage or anything else extra lol. i would only go back if anything else isnt open

I came across "Gems Nail & Spa" on my lunch one day and wanted to try it. Well today was that day! They were so welcoming and super nice right when I walked in. I told them that I only had an hour for my lunch and they did not hesitate. Although we were on a time crunch she was super efficient and patient. I was nervous asking for basic French tips considering the time we had but she said she was able to do it. I trusted her and I don't regret it! Her lines were so crisp and even in each nail. Her attention to detail is so amazing, I would absolutely go back and get some designs from her!

Tracy always absolutely kills my nails! She pays attention to every detail, takes her time, and somehow makes them look even better than the inspo every single time. My bf and I got our nails done here recently and we really liked it. It wasn't busy and they sat us right away. He liked his manicure and pedicure. My pedicure came out nice. The salon is big and clean. Looks pretty new. The ladies were very kind. Some of their tools they only use once and toss so it felt very sanitary The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because both of us felt like they rushed even tho no one else was there waiting. read more

I came across Gems Nails & Spa while looking for a local nail salon here in Orange. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the salon, and the bright environment. Kim was the one who worked on my nails and does an AMAZING job every single time! Probably one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had. The technician was in such a rush that her work definitely showed in it. I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and there was no comparison. All of the lengths were different, along with the tips. I really didn't even want to get a manicure and they talked me into it. Wish I wouldn't have gotten them done. read more

Ladies or Gentlemen, if you're looking to get in & out quickly, this is the place. It's so new, that there is no wait time! Staff was very friendly. I had a pedi & mani, Helen & Tracy were great! Place is very clean, plenty of parking! Music in the salon was really nice too! Oh & the massage chairs, Amazing!! You better hurry before this Gem starts getting real busy in the future. I highly recommend this place! I came in with a broken nail, and although they didn't have the exact polish I originally used, they took the time to find the best matching shade. Everyone was friendly, the space was very clean, and the staff was highly skilled. I am very particular as to where I get any "beauty/spa" treatments at, but his will definitely be my go-to spot from now on! read more

I will not be going back. The male who did my pedicure (Denny) was pleasant and even told the lady to not make comments. Nail salons are supposed to be a place where you feel pampered and good. This place did the opposite, my entire mood was ruined and I texted my husband throughout how awful of an experience I had. And she cut me twice and I started bleeding. Response to management: I specifically asked for builder gel, however she said I should really do gel x and I said I prefer the builder gel. As she began prepping my nail she asked AGAIN that i really should do gel x which i then responded "okay" because she kept repeatedly asking me even though i asked for builder gel specifically. This is not my first time at a nail salon. In addition, I never once said they were talking poorly about someone in their native language. I have worked with many a people and work in places that others speak comfortable in their native language. It is in poor taste of you as a business owner to assume I felt offended and or uncomfortable with people speaking in their native language. I visibly saw them point at a customer and them talking about how she didn't want to pay for gel despite agreeing to the serve. So please don't assume what I heard versus what I know to have happened, it is in very poor taste.
