Went in for a manicure and they had me in and out in 25 minutes.. my nails look horrible they're uneven and they barely even filed them. Didn't bother to get my cuticles or anything. If that doesn't tell you about the quality, then maybe my infected pus filled nail will. I had to take the acrylics off after a week because I'm in so much pain and there's literally pus under my nail. I went there yesterday for a pedicure. They charged me $22. Didn't do any clipping around my toes, she cut maybe two of my toenails, filed them put lotion on me and I was done. As soon as I told her, I didn't want the extra heel buffing. She just decided she wasn't gonna do it at all. I was in there maybe 15 minutes. I now see why the shop was completely empty. This place was recommended by a friend who has awesome looking nail sets, but she hasn't been there in a year and a half. I brought 3 friends with me as well for services, only one got a nail set. I got a pedi by someone and gel extension mani with jewels done by Mary. The staff was friendly and very patient while I figured out exactly what I wanted. They work quickly and Mary tended to hit my cuticle with the electric file. I also had to insist she do something about my cuticles because I never had a.mani and my cuticles still look raggedy after it was completed . The prices are more than reasonable and below market value, I was pretty happy with their overall work so I tipped handsomely for my.mani & pedi. Sadly, these nails do hold up at all!!! Within 2 days one of my nails started to split from the middle, then broke the next day. The diamond also fell off one nail the the day after they were done. I had to wait 5 days before I was back in that area to get it fixed and I appreciated that they didn't charge me to fix the 2 nails, but that very same night another nail broke! They charged me to fix that 3rd nail when I returned although I told them it broke.that same day. They also didn't inform me of the card fee. Moreover, my friend who also had false nails from this place that same day as me, also had a nail break within 3 days. Her real nails were also damaged. I'm sure more would have broken, but she had them promptly removed. She was advised that the products they used on her nails were low quality. Another friend recently told me she went here before and one of her nails split within 2 days. I believe they are also skipping steps to move quickly and save supplies. I am generally not rough on my nails and I never had nails break so soon after they were done, so the low prices seem to be on par with the quality of materials. read more

Just as you are now, I was researching yesterday for a nail place that took walk ins since I needed a full set of acrylic nails and a pedicure same day for a party I had that same day. I came across Katella Nails & Spa on yelp and saw good reviews so I decided to call and ask if they took walk ins she said yes and told me to come on in. When I first walked in I was not greeted, okay I just sat down and waited for someone to approach me. When the lady came out from the back she greeted me and sat me down at her chair. She then took out all of her equipment and powders. When I tell you she finished a whole new full set of acrylic nails in 20 MINUTES !! 20 MINUTES. You can imagine how they came out I have been to others salons and lately I had been going with my nail lady who works out of her house but she wasn't able to squeeze me in last minute. They have never done a new full set in less then an hour let alone in 20 minutes. Her tools were not clean and clearly not disinfected at all. Her nail file and buffer were old and extremely used! I should've just walked out then but I needed to have them done so I stayed. I took a nail course and though I didn't proceed with the career even I know you have to disinfect your tools after each client and use new files and buffer for each client. You'd think that as a licensed and established business they would know and do that, but no. YOU BEST BELIEVE I WILL BE REPORTING THIS SALON. The only reason why this place is getting 1 star from me is because of Kathy she did my pedicure and it came out amazing. I loved it and she was so good, nice and gentle. Safe to say I will NEVER come back to this salon and PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR YOU, YOUR SAFETY OR HEALTH. read more

They love conversating with their customers. It feels like family when you come here. Lily is my favorite when it comes to getting my pedicure. She is so gentle and detailed with her work. Definitely book with her when coming in. Jojo is amazing if you plan to get a full set of acrylics. I love how she's a perfectionist with her craft. You show her what you want, she has no problem doing exactly the style you have requested. There was a color I chose which I thought was close to the color I wanted. When Lily started painting it on my toes, she knew right away that wasn't the right shade that I ideally wanted. Immediately she stopped and went looking for the correct shade, which she did. After being charged $90 for Gel-X at a nearby salon, I knew I needed to find another salon. I'm so happy I decided to try Katella Nails! I paid $100 total for Gel-X nails with a gel pedicure. Helen was so meticulous with my nails & made them look perfect. Kathy was gentle with my pedicure & took the time to work on any ingrown nails. On top of that, Mary is hilarious and brings a fun energy to the salon. Unfortunately, I went to a wedding over the weekend and broke a nail. It has been 4 years since my first visit and review. I've kept Katella Nails & Spa in mind and returned to the salon to get my nails done for my big day. It was the day before my wedding and my anxiety was definitely present. Holly, Mary, JoJo and Kim, gave me and my bridal party the best treatment. My party felt like their ideas for the nails they wanted were executed and then some. They appreciated how each nail technician was able to receive their ideas and build off of them. Design Process - I came in with an idea but once it was on my nail, I started not to like it. Mary asked me questions to help see what the problem was but in a calming, collaborative way. We reached an understanding and Mary adjusted the nail design and it ended up being better than the idea I thought I had! I walked out of the salon super happy. Durability - I had a jewel on each finger and a cluster of jewels on my ring fingers. The jewels lasted all throughout my honey moon and mostly throughout moving and unpacking. I walked back into the salon a MONTH later with the clusters of jewels still intact and no broken nails. read more

Expensive and lack of Service I treated my 13 year old and her 20+ year old friend to have their nails done here. From my understanding, they re-opened a few days ago. I called and made the appointment two days ago. They requested and charged for a mani-pedi but got the bare minimal. They did a good job on the pedicure work but the service was lacking. At the time if payment, no credit cards were accepted. Good thing they had cash. The prices were expensive compared to other places and there was an additional $2 charge on everything. It was $29.00 for cutting finger nails with no polish, poot filing, no clear polish and no cleaning under the nails. The pedicure was ok but no massage at all and the minimal work. My daughter and her friend were not happy at all. It was busy and they had plexiglass between the chairs and in front of you. read more
