We joined them on Christmas Eve. Was it a bit of a disorganized mess? Yup. Were the manager and staff able to overcome it with exceptional service? Yup. The food turned out just fine. The wine list is very limited. They did the best they could given the holiday. They were pleasant and professional and accommodated where they were able. I give them an "A" for effort and a B- on food. Thank you. read more

I really don't know about the pizza and the pics of the place look very cool... and I literally live so close... However, this review is in reference to multiple times that I have delivery ordered their burger and fries! I order it well done with no mayo and it comes with fries and it's the perfect savory with a touch of sweet from the bacon tomato jam. It's um definitely my "monthly" go to. It one hundred trumped my former Five Guys crush for the monthly craving situation. It's the perfect portion and tastes fresh fresh fresh!!!! I am new to Denver and I see that there are a ton of burger places. Maybe they all taste this good? Even if they do, this is my neighborhood go to and I WILL experience the dining area at some point soon! read more

Thoughtful and considerate, the staff and the chef were more than accommodating. Additionally, the chef made me blueberry pancakes on a special request, which I still think about to this day. Thanks for making a girl's first time solo traveling one to remember. read more

Its a good Italian restaurant that is adjacent to Warwick hotel. I tried their creamy pesto alfredo pasta and was so content by it. It was tasty and very filling. The portion sizes are big . I really enjoyed their godfather cocktail. Definitely one of top cocktails I've tasted. I also tried their seasonal sorbet, maybe not the best dessert to pair with the rest of the meal. I feel like I should have tried the tiramisu instead. The sorbet itself is good and refreshing. Definitely a good place to try out in the downtown area! read more

There is metered street parking nearby. This is a big restaurant connected to a hotel. I got the truffle mushroom gnocchi. It was alright. The mushrooms were pretty flavorful but the gnocchi with the sauce was alright. Portion was decent. My friend got the fettucine alfredo. It literally had no taste... we tried to add salt to help but it didn't. He then used a lemon and squeezed lemon juice on it and said it helped. But yeah, it was super bland. He said the bruschetta was ok. We got 3 free oysters with the bruschetta and those were good. Overall, just meh. read more

Went to dinner here with a friend before a show downtown and had a great meal. We arrived at 5:30 pm and it was a nice surprise to find out that they have happy hour till 7pm, and you can enjoy it in the dining room. Therefore, we both started out with a glass of wine and a Caprese Salad from their happy hour menu. The salad had a delicious thick slice of mozzarella topped with a fresh tomato slice, arugula, and a nice drizzle of a balsamic glaze. We then split an order of the Jack Daniel's Glazed Short Ribs and the Cheese Ravioli with a Lobster Cream Sauce. The plate of short ribs had two good sized pieces of meat which were very tender and a lot less fatty than I expected. The light sauce was delicious, over the ribs, and was great mixed in to the mashed potatoes. The broccoli and carrots that were served with it were perfectly cooked, and a great accompaniment. The ravioli was good, however there were not any pieces of lobster in the sauce, which I had hoped for. The restaurant has a warm and spacious interior with a beautiful fireplace, and lots of cute cat pics. Our server, Chaunty, was very attentive. It made for a perfect pre-theater dinner and I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again. read more

Gattara (cat lady in Italian) is a restaurant attached to a hotel on the edge of downtown Denver. If you are looking for place to gather friends or family, and feel as if a section of the restaurant has been put aside just for you, this is a destination to consider. Here you will find different nooks, including some with large round tables, that invite private and unobstructed conversation. The restaurant offers a selection of craft beers and wine that can pair well with the menu items (tip -- stick to Italian dishes, but the oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwich with caramel sauce is an exception). Gattara is a peaceful place to relax and reconnect. Street parking is fee-free on weekends. read more

The bartender and the server were so friendly and helpful! We enjoyed this experience very much and will definitely be back!

I came here with my friend this evening, it had been a long week and we were hoping for some delicious comfort food. Wow. I was beyond impressed. First, the atmosphere. I loved the ambient lighting, brightening without being too harsh, which was lovely since both of us can be extra sensitive with sensory things like lighting and sound. The decor was tasteful, welcoming, and delightful with all the cat art, without being remotely cheesy. The seating was comfortable too, with many options. Each person working there that we interacted with was friendly, full of great ideas, and had lovely energy. Now the most important part: food! Sooo impressed. We each had the truffle gnocchi and shared a salad, plus some lovely cocktails. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and beautifully plated, but they also served a truly satisfying amount of food -- no tiny plates here! We were both delighted at the quality of flavorful ingredients. There were so many other intriguing menu items; I hope to come back to try many more! read more

Food was good, not great. Risotto wasn't creamy. Service was friendly but slow. Decor is cool, but it's in a hotel and feels like it. It was a bummer that the table next to us was lounging & playing cards the whole time -- didn't fit the setting. read more

I had the Funghi pizza to go. The pizza amazing and the guy who greeted me at the door was super attentive and directed me to the bar to pick up my order. The inside of here is also beautiful and intimate for a nice date. read more

Service was amazing. Great host staff and waiter. Knowledgeable and friendly. Timing of courses was perfect. I ordered a red sauce pizza and my boyfriend ordered the truffle gnocchi and we shared! I hosted my friend's bachelorette party and ordered all the food from Gattara. We were all blown away by how amazing the food was. It traveled well up to Vail. We had lasagna, grilled chicken, contadina salad, truffle gnocchi, caprese salad, chicken marsala and chicken piccata. Everyone loved it! Highly recommend Gattara for parties and events. Plus dining in has a great vibe. read more

The food is amazingly good and that could elicit a 5 star review alone. The service tonight however was a two star experience and that was a big disappointment. The renovated space is awesome with great color tones, comfortable seating and a variety of seating options. Bar. High top. Community table. 2&4 tops. Banquette seating. All great. We live nearby and have watched the renovation take shape and after the annual Yelpies award event we really wanted to come back for dinner and have a quiet enjoyable time. We arrived at 6:45 on Saturday and were seated to Our preference immediately for four. Our waitress came by with water and friendly but slightly awkward chit chat. She knew we were waiting for another couple so wandered off to tend to other things. Our friends arrived shortly after us and I want to say it was another 5-10 minutes before our server approached. It was a good 20 minutes before we got drinks. By then the restaurant had filled up completely. We realized we better order as there was an apparent shortage of server help and a quickly filling restaurant. We all had the short ribs and two baskets of the 10,000 star olive bread. Omg. That is so deliciouss with extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. Seriously this was my favorite thing abouut our experience. We had two glasses of wine, two martinis and 4 short ribs and we spent about $180 with tax and tip. The real bummer here was the lack of quality attentive service. We needed about 50% more attention to make this a five star experience for the price. The two servers here although nice were not a match for the expectations set by the restaurant I really want this place to be successful but they have to dial in the service issue quickly or it will all be over with for the dinner crowd. Valet parking is a nice added option here as well as a separate entrance away from the main hotel entrance at the Warwick. We will definitely give it another shot to see if things improve. read more

Great restaurant conveniently connected to a cool hotel, kinda makes things a little easier, plus delightful. bartender Brendan is amazing.

This restaurant is located in the Warwick hotel. It's right on the corner with a big sign, so it's pretty easy to find. We were excited to eat here because of the pizza and all the cat decor! If you like cats, it has some fun kitty touches. The food I would say was a bit of a let down. The Alfredo wasn't super flavorful and didn't have fresh cheese which takes it to that next top level. Our waitress however was good. She checked on us a couple times, but we did have to wave her down for the check. We went on a Saturday night and it was generously open... no need for reservations! I probably wouldn't go back but it was a cool experience. read more

We went to Gattara, in the Warwick Hotel, for our Thanksgiving meal. Service was good. She was pleasant and personable! The food was terrible, overcooked, cold and just not good. The stuffing was wet and soggy, salmon overcooked and falling apart. Actually, all of the meat was overcooked. They served dark brown gravy that tasted like it was from a package. Cranberries were sour and the sweet potatoes were just potatoes with marshmallows on top. I was so disappointed! We paid $60 per person for food, had wine and drinks x 4 people and left a good tip. All in all it was around $400. So, it was pricey. We had been to the Warwick for Thanksgiving in the past. It's a different restaurant now but, we had great and unique dishes served in our past experiences. It's a nice atmosphere and probably has decent food, from reading others reviews. I was just really disappointed with our Thanksgiving meal! read more

Rating: 3.5-4/5 Overall: This place was very cute. The restaurant is in a hotel, so plan for parking accordingly. The cat theme is definitely concentrated near the bar area and is less prevalent throughout the space. The highlight was the pizza, great crust and interesting flavor combos. Best to skip dessert though. I may come back for the pizza but otherwise happy to have gone once. Drinks: I got the Begal I think, the lemon one. It was okay, very much a sipping drink for how much it hits you over the head with chemically lemon flavor. Apps: Got the caprese salad, pretty surprised it didn't come with any balsamic vinegar or sauce, it wasn't bad but a bit flavorless as the tomatoes just didn't seem ripe. Entrees: The highlight was the pizza. We got the Funguy which is certainly mushroom heavy but the fig and goat cheese work great together. The crust is lovely and flavorful. The braised short ribs were pretty good, the meat was tender and flavorful. I wish there had been more sauce and horseradish. The veggies were almost rubbery, hard to cut through and little flavor at all. Potatoes were yummy. Dessert: The orange sorbet was just not good. It didn't taste like orange at all and had the strangest aftertaste. The Tirimisu was great in comparison but at the end of the day was a pretty run of the mill store bought dessert. Service: It was very slow when we got there at 6. I had a reservation but we clearly didn't need it. Despite the near empty space we got seated in the back corner at a tiny table far away from the cat themed wall which was a bit disappointing. When the place got busy around 7 we hardly saw our server again. Again not the end of the world but notable. read more

The food was pretty bland. Our wine also arrived and it was warm. Not sure if that was because the glass was warm or what but it was kind of gross to drink. We went for restaurant week and was not super impressed. The caprese was extremely basic, the pasta lacked flavor and the tiramisu was not even made with real mascarpone. It was basically lady fingers with heavy cream. The service was fine and the restaurant decor was cute but I have no interest in going back read more

I've been coming here for a very long time. Notable mentions go out to Sadie & Brandon. It's better than any regular bar in town, great atmosphere and customer service! read more

On a Saturday night this spot should be packed. But it isn't...likely because the price point of the food does not match up, nor does the service. A $21+ anywhere else comes with a dinner salad, maybe bread? And decent service. You will get none of the three with your meal here. Just a decent (not homemade) pasta dish and mediocre service. Service has gone severely downhill at this spot, (and all of CapHill TBH!) and just bc it's in a fairly nice hotel, they hike the prices. So I'll say it again, the price does NOT match the service, or the meal. read more

Ambiance: 8/10 Service: 6/10 Food: 2.5/10 I came here with a couple of friends on a momentous day, enticed by the menu and pictures online. The restaurant was cute, but service was lacking. I don't want to comment on our specific server because I know this job can be hard, but it looked like they had a large section and were stretched thin. Onto the food, absolutely do not order the pappardelle short rib. I'm basing my food review on Gattara's prices, and at $24, the mark was severely missed. Short rib was tough, dry and cut into long strips -- very off putting. Pasta: over cooked Pizza: ok Salads: good! I'm disappointed because the concept and menu HAVE potential, and in this neighborhood we could really use it. Going to hopefully try again after the short rib passes through my system in 6-7 years. read more

Stayed at the Warwick and decided to try Gattara. We ordered the wagyu burger temperature medium, margarita pizza, and Alfredo pasta. The pasta tasted like something out of a can, very bland and no flavor. The Wagyu burger was overcooked and tasted burnt, could not finish it all because it tasted so bad. Amazingly the french fries were also not very good. The pizza was pretty good. However, the quality of the food just did not match the price. Also not a fan of the continental breakfast, which is paid for by the hotel in the morning. The continental breakfast does not come with any protein items and has a very limited selection. Almost feels like the hotel is tricking people by saying they have a continental breakfast, they should be more clear and say that it is a very limited continental breakfast with limited selections of items mostly includes fruit, a pastry, cereal, and jelly. read more

I visited Gattara a few times during my 13-night stay at the Warwick. Twice for dinner and once for lunch. The meals I had were all delicious! Loved the Creamy Pesto Fettuccini; Fig, Goat Cheese, and Funghi pizza; and you can't go wrong with the classic Turkey Club. The servers were super friendly and attentive, and one night the chef came out to say hello and ask how everything was. Gattara was hopping for dinner both nights, but we didn't have to wait as there is ample seating. The food was really good, service was great, and great ambiance. Will come again. For a change it turned out to be very good.

Went for restaurant week which was a solid value overall. The margarita pizza was good, probably one of the best things we ate there. The bruschetta was underwhelming and soggy. The pappardelle pasta was good but very heavy. The chicken Marsala was good. The tiramisu was very very good but the limoncello cake and the chocolate lava cake were quite underwhelming. read more
