Caviar and chips, deviled eggs, crispy brussel sprouts.
Ashlee P.

I thought that this place was underrated. I had not heard of it before my sister suggested it for her birthday dinner. It was tucked away in Haddonfield just off of Kings Highway in a little space with an open kitchen and interesting decor. The food. The food was delicious. We ordered almost everything off of the menu. These vegan options were impressive. A dish that truly stood out to me was a veggie tartar, and although it didn't have a fishy taste, the richness and flavors of this dish could've fooled me into thinking there was a fish tartar on the plate. I think this one was the star of the meal. I also loved the smokiness of the deviled eggs. That flavor was loud and proud, and it really worked! I do not even like hotdogs but had to try theirs and I will say I even enjoyed that! I would suggest this place to others and will certainly be back for more! Thank you, Gass and Main!

Artichoke nachos

The food was good, but alittle overpriced. We got the gnocchi mac & cheese and artichoke heart frites nachos. The nachos had way too much aioli & overwhelmed the artichoke & fries. The service was good and the outdoor seating was pleasant.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful restaurant. The service is always great and the food is even better! My go-to is the truffled steak eggs Benedict. You cannot go wrong with that dish. For a lighter appetizer, the roasted carrots with avocado and some kind of whipped cheese sauce is heavenly. This place is perfect for a Sunday brunch, but you can come anytime. Especially now that the weather is beautiful. If you're flying solo, like I was today, definitely bring a book, relax outside in the sunshine, and enjoy your amazing meal.

Delicious, unique offerings in an intimate setting - I got a meal with eggs, donuts, and duck, which tasted fantastic. I'm already thinking of going back for another meal. The service was great and I'm looking forward to the next chance I have to try another meal!

What a dinner we had! You definitely should make reservations, the place is small and gets crowded. Be warned it is loud when it's crowded, but just wait for the amazing staff and food to wow you. As our waitress told us, be ready to go outside your comfort zone when ordering...great advice! Since we had 6 people we were able to try so much. The best hot dog was really good! As was the bang bang asparagus, ranch carrots, and the special rangoons. Dinners were even better! The pork chop was juicy and delicious over dill potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly; Lamb chop wonderful; the fish was amazing; gnocchi Mac and cheese creamy and good; and even the salad was great. Save room for dessert...the lemon cake was my favorite, but they also had a strawberry shortcake on top of a funnel cake and a traditional cannoli with fruity pebbles! Bonus: BYOB

Deviled eggs

Went to Gass & Main for brunch and had a great experience. We arrived right when they opened, so it wasn't very busy, but the service was excellent and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the deviled eggs, which were really good and full of flavor -- the salmon roe on top was a nice touch and added something extra. For my main course, I ordered the steak and eggs Benedict, and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce was so good it really tied the whole dish together. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. Definitely a solid brunch spot in Haddonfield.

A lovely hidden gem, perfectly encapsulating an antiquated vintage home kitchen atmosphere. The coffee selection was nice and the shared plates essential for the table during brunch were top tier. The deviled eggs had a burst of savory and spicy flavor with salmon roe on top, and the silver dollar pancakes were equal parts adorable and delish.

I made reservations here directly on their website for brunch. I had a lunch meeting and we decided to have a sit down in Haddonfield. Location: Takes a little sense of direction to find this hem nestled in the corridor of Haddonfield center district. Parking: There is a paid parking lot within walking distance. The restaurant is small and intimate. When you walk in you enter through the kitchen. The hostess checked us in, and sat us between two tables. It's tight I am not going to lie. I ordered the table pancakes, which served up as the size of a silver dollar. They were decent. It was the cheesesteak Benedict that did me in. The poached egg done to perfection, the steak texture and taste was like an Eagles championship parade in my mouth. Well done Gass and Main (G&M). Matt you are extraordinary human. Working those tables being attentive and helpful patient. Thank you for the phenomenal service. Will come again. Brunch reservations is a game changer. No waiting in a hallway without a chair like at Sabrina's .

I'd give 3 1/2 stars if I could. My friend and I went to celebrate our birthdays. Despite calling day of, they were able to squeeze us in. The meal was good, but some dishes were better than others. Sadly, the brussel sprouts were way over-seasoned and had to be sent back. Another table said the same of their order. The carrots were fantastic though. Tomato soup and grilled cheese was good, but not special. Deviled eggs are worth an order. My salmon was and serving with sides was generous. My friend, however, had to send her burger back for being very undercooked. It was then overdone. Dessert was a strong ending to the meal, and the staff did right the wrongs. I've heard good things about other experiences here and would give it another try since some of the meal was very good. For the price, I would want everything I ordered to be consistently well-prepared but appreciated the presentation, atmosphere, and service.

This place lives up to the hype. Have been here twice now for lunch and niether time has been disappointing. The place is pretty small so I can see why it was hard to get in here when they opened and it is a bit loud. The most recent time we had deviled eggs, the burger, the shrimp roll and for dessert cannolis and strawberry short cake. Everything is flavorful and fresh, service is great and I am looking forward to trying dinner here.

The selection is massive, and I somehow ended up with a Blueberry Cobbler beer. Yes, blueberry cobbler. In a beer. It sounds like something invented at 2 a.m. after several other beers, but damn if it wasn't fantastic. Then came the fish and chips. I spent a semester in London when I was in college, so I've eaten my share of fish and chips. Some great. Some served by angry British people who clearly wanted me to go back to America. The Pour House version was top-notch. Crispy batter. Great fish. Not greasy. The kind of meal where you stop talking for a few minutes because you're busy eating. The place itself has that comfortable neighborhood bar feel. Nothing complicated. Good beer. Good food. A place you can walk into and settle in for a while. The Pour House is officially going into our normal rotation. And with the number of beers on tap, I figure I have a lot of research left to do.

We were seated at a banquette corner spot which was great. Interior is way smaller than I anticipated from seeing pics but is cozy. Our server, River, was friendly and informative. Food came out at a nice pace. This was EASILY the best meal I have had out in 10-15 years. Food was stellar. Each dish was unique, well seasoned, interesting, and balanced. Positively delicious. I am irritated I waited so long to come here. I don't live near Collingswood. Prix fixe tasting menus are typically not my first choice. My eyes missed the note on their site that ala carte is only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I have dietary restrictions and I didn't think I was that hungry. My dining partner is an omnivore but I eat vegan part of the week. I am more a vegetarian leaning pescatarian. I do not eat offal, beef, or pork. I am allergic to beef. Tasting menus are typically problematic for me. This menu was so varied and perfectly proportioned. I had choices I was very happy with. We walked out satisfied but not grotesque. What we ordered- sicilian tuna - parsley, capers, calabrian chili, sourdough (supplemental $5) watermelon & stone fruit - mint-chili vinaigrette, fennel, stracciatella lumache - pancetta, charred corn, cherry tomato, soft egg risotto - zucchini, szechuan butter, pistachio, lemon honey Branzino to share - whole fish - tomato, black olive, fennel, burnt orange caramelized pâte feuilletée - yuzu, blackberry mint gelée, matcha crumb pâte à choux - craquelin, corn semifreddo, peach-jalapeño reduction Highly, highly recommend.

Out of all of my visits, my favorite is the weekend brunch menu. There are so many yummy things to choose from like the breakfast burrito, the banana Forester French toast, the various of Benedict's including crab, and there were a bunch of various breakfast sandwiches, but the most menu appealing one that I liked is the pork roll. On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. We didn't realize that the restaurant was a part of a country club until we arrived (no where in the reviews did it mention this) but we've done brunch at other country clubs throughout Jersey and it was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. Service was SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW! From the very beginning until the very end. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. The cocktails weren't the greatest either. We thought perhaps the first round was our fault because we all tried their "blackberry espresso martini" and we knew it was a risk from the beginning ... so we ordered "safer" cocktails for round 2 and the prosecco based cocktails were even worse than the blackberry espresso martinis smh. I truly don't understand how one messes up prosecco + a splash of limoncello and cranberry (that was what was supposed to be in the cocktail) but they certainly messed it up, to the point where I didn't drink it. Our entrees finally arrived and WOMP WOMP WOMP! Overall every single one was MID at best ... and all I had was French onion soup and a wedge salad .... like how is it possible for those to be BLAH? Food was so MEH we didn't even take pics lol. Needless to say we all agreed we wouldn't be back and wished we had decided on what was our 2nd option for brunch instead.

The menu is very wide-ranging (a bit of a red flag), so I asked our very courteous and knowledgeable server for recommendations and she steered me to the seafood risotto. My wife ordered the salmon with risotto. (she always orders salmon). While waiting for our food, I nursed a happy hour margarita, which was one of the best I've ever had. Now I know why it's so popular for happy hour. Our entrees arrived about 15 minutes later and we were dumbfounded by how stunningly good they were. Both were absolute home runs in every respect. The seafood risotto was packed with jumbo shrimp and other morsels of seafood on a bed of risotto that was just incredibly savory and delicious. My wife's salmon over risotto was similarly superb, with a milder risotto perfectly attuned to salmon's subtler flavor. There was just no end to the superlatives being expressed after every bite. For dessert my wife ordered the cheesecake with fresh fruit and I the creme brûlée. Naturally we tried each others desserts and switched since my wife liked the creme brûlée better and I the cheesecake. I normally don't order cheesecake because it's generally ultra sweet with no other flavor, but this one was wonderfully fresh tasting; I've never had anything like it! We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????
