This little shop is absolutely adorable! They have a huge variety of threads and accessories and the staff are really helpful. They offer classes and while I've never taken any I've been there during these classes and they look great. Wow, just wow! I read the reviews to see if it was worth the drive since I'm only in this area for a couple of hours on business. Everyone always mentions something nice about Carol the owner ---- and they ARE SPOT ON! From the moment I walked in I felt like I was someone special. So many fibers to choose from, boards of canvases, a trunk show, table full of stitchers and an array of finished items to look at. I walked out with divers for my current project, needles, scissors, scissor minders, more fibers and a book. It's a must if you are in the area. I'll be back! read more

I went for the first time today and it was phenomenal!! I embroider and was looking for new fibers to try, and the selection was the best I have ever seen. Carol and Eleanor were so welcoming and knowledgeable I ended up hanging out and chatting for over an hour. I am so excited to go back for classes, and will go here first when I need supplies. The nature of this craft is a bit expensive in that the canvases run between $100 - $ 200 but it's because they are hand painted & of excellent quality. They offer hundreds of styles & types of floss/thread, so many beautiful colors & textures to choose from. They are full service, have a relationship with a finisher who can transform your finished canvas into a wall hanging, a tote bag, a Christmas ornament or a framed piece. They offer classes on all days of the week & evenings, taught by skilled & kind instructors. They welcome beginning students and more seasoned crafters. I returned to needlepoint after a 25 year hiatus and (because of a recommendation from a dear friend) landed in this delightful store. Carol Cugno, the owner, provides a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, caring customer service, knowledgeable base to help with every need and fabulous teachers for classes every day of the week. I have been driving to this place for classes from Mission Viejo for years. They have lots of "stuff" and Carol is very conscious of pricing. Needlepointing and other crafts can get really "clubby" yet Carol maintains a wonderfully inclusive retail environment between herself, staff and even her customers. leaving the shop at the end of the day was like leaving best friends, despite my friends and i having arrived as strangers. Shop staff were infinitely helpful, welcoming, and interested despite the dozens of years experience which sometimes leaves an employee jaded . I would ike to see more variety/designers amongst the canvases but as for threads, you needn't go anywhere else. In addition she has a uniquely talented and creative finisher, I will trust all my projects to this individual, a precious find! The store's a keeper, i'm putting this number on my speed dial and I vow to return not only for threads but for one or more of their many in-house class offerings. and we live 2 hours from here!! read more
