I love this place with my whole heart! I came here for the first time in about October 2023 for a Friday the 13th event they hosted and I have been coming back for events ever since. For the latest updates on events, follow their instagram @colormeminecovina! They have so many special events that cater to various interests and groups and ages and truly anyone can enjoy here. I came back for my 5th time on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and we had the best time. We chose the 6:30p-8:30p slot, and paid $50 for the special event table reservation (included a couples caricature). I know they had a later Valentine's reservation slot from 9-11pm and those couples got a little heart shaped trinket tray as part of their $50 fee. The table reservation cost does NOT include the price of the pottery you choose. They have a wide selection of pottery pieces you can choose from at varying price points so everyone can find something they will love to paint during the time. They had a new astrology jar with a lid that i've never seen before and instantly fell in love. My partner needed a bit more time to choose a piece, and decided on a dragon wrapped around a tower that will include a tea light for later to light up the tower (super cool). The two pieces were less than $100 total ($36 for the jar and $54? for the tower dragon) which is around the price I was expecting to pay. Note that my boyfriend and I showed up at 6:15 to look at the pottery early and we were thankful we did because it gave us extra time to paint without feeling a super tight time crunch. The staff was super sweet and attentive and remembered me from past times I've been there, which makes me feel more comfortable and happy there. They were checking tables frequently and making sure paint was always available and refilled for our use. They also gave us time checks to let us know how much time we had left which was appreciated. It is important to remember that 1 coat will leave a lighter finish while 3 coats will create a more opaque finish. They had a card on the table that said more than 3 coats of paint can warp your piece during the drying process or even cause an explosion due to trapped air between paint layers so do be aware! You also have to leave your pottery for up to a week so it can fully dry and bake in the kiln so the glaze hardens and becomes all shiny and beautiful. I have been happy with every piece I have made at Color Me Mine Covina and I will definitely keep recommending it to those around me because it really is that fun and enjoyable of an experience. read more

This is a chain, but was my first time going. Parking is available on the street. You enter and choose what you would like to paint - each piece has a different price. The cheapest piece I found was a plate which was around $16. After choosing your piece, you have a seat and select which colors you would like to paint your piece with. Time is limited and flew by quickly. After painting, you have to come back within a week or two to pick it up. The piece looks so different (in a good way) after being glazed! read more

My first time ever going and painting something at a Color Me Mine was in this location and also a special night which was a Hello Kitty Dodger one. You pick any type of pottery that is pretty much a blank canvas. After that, you select which stencil you would like to put on. Then you paint on it. It's actually pretty relaxing and quite fun to do! Also, I think making a plate is useful since you get to use it daily! Since the night was Hello Kitty it was filled with a large selection of the Sanrio characters plus some of them wearing the Dodger hat. I picked a heart plate to decorate. You can pick whichever colors you want and then make it your own. You won't get the plate right away it will take a little while but I can't wait to see how it turns out! read more

I did not have reservations but I highly suggest you make one as they get booked up fast. Stopped by on a Sunday, I called in and they were able to accommodate my niece and I. You get 2 hrs to paint your ceramic. Each ceramic ranges from $25-+ $55. They have some options that include lights as night lights- my niece got the bear with the light and I opted in for the mushroom. Staff is friendly and attentive. I have been here a few times with my niece and we absolutely love it here! Located in Downtown Covina, parking isn't too difficult. There are plenty of public lots to park in as well as some street parking as well. It is recommended to make a reservation but they do take walk in's. I have done both. When I went In without a reservation every table was filled, but thankfully we were able to get a spot after just waiting 10 mins as a couple was finishing their painting when we got there. If you do make a reservation online, there is a fee, but that is put toward your total when you pay. Everyone that I have encountered that works there has been very kind, welcoming, and willing to help you while you are there. You start off by picking a pottery piece to paint, and once you get to your table and are ready to paint they will give you a pallet where you can choose which colors you want and they will get them for you as well as refill as needed. There is a sitting fee alongside your pottery of choice. You have 2 hours to complete your pottery painting and they send you a text when your pottery is ready to be picked up. They even have some events here that I plan on taking part of one day! Even though I live in Anaheim, I prefer to go to this Color Me Mine. Nothing against the other locations, but this one goes out of its way to make you as comfortable as possible from heavenly smelling candles and fun music to the warm and friendly staff who make you feel like family. Today, January 13, 2024, having checked the hours of operation, I brought my kids for some fun at 7:30 pm I felt not welcome and the old man was so rude. I told them that it was our first time, he replied it takes about 2 hours but kids usually finish faster to what I replied that's fine because my kids are the ones that want to paint. His reply was that they were closing at 8 pm and there was not enough time for them to finish. This Color Me Mine location is the best one I've been so far. The workers were really nice. You can see the owner Mr. Bryant and his wife Mrs . Akiko. One of their employees Sabrina was super nice. She was by far my favorite employee. The other ones were great too, though. On certain days, this location has awesome events. Some of the events were : Taylor Swift, Christmas Ornaments, BTs, and Sanrio. I went here with my friends for the Taylor Swift event and came back for the Christmas Event with another friends. I'm an Independent Living Skills Instructor and I wanted to do a form of art therapy with my client so we went to Color Me Mine. There was a beautiful selection of pottery to paint. The atmosphere is lovely and inviting. Brian helped us with fantastic customer service. It was an enjoyable experience and we are continuing to work on our project for Father's Day. This is a sweet little spot for an interactive date (romantic or otherwise)! I took my family here for a birthday and got seated quickly without an appointment. It was our first time at this location and the staff was fairly helpful in getting us set up. We were instructed to pick our desired pieces, pick a palette of colors, and get to painting. I'd been to a different Color Me Mine location and there, they had also shown us the variety of additional paint options and how to get more if we wanted. Other than this difference, the rest of the experience was similar and easy to follow. I was able to pick up our finished/glazed pieces about five days after the initial painting day. Took my son to Color me Mine on a Wednesday around 3pm. There were only 2 other people in there. I was happy we missed the big crowds I see on the weekends. The store is really cute and I'm happy to have something like this walking distance from my house. The man at the front desk was very helpful and gave us some painting tips. There wasn't a huge selection of pottery pieces but enough. It's a little pricey if you are bringing more than one child. There's a $9 studio fee+the cost of the pottery you choose. I don't think saw anything under $20. It was a fun experience but definitely not coming here too often. I did find it to b relaxing, fun, and overall enjoyable. When you go in you are seated and told to choose a ceramic piece to glaze. The prices are on the bottom of the pieces, which I found to be very efficient. Had a last minute birthday party for my granddaughter. I choose the pack a party for 8 girls . It wasn't busy do I was able to choose a variety of pottery pieces, they packed all the paints, palates, brushes and butcher paper. Each piece of pottery was carefully wrapped to avoid breakage and rubbing. I brought the pieces back for glazing and firing. Because it was a party, I got my pieces back in a week. Great service. I don't think this location opened that long ago. It's so clean and new inside and it's located in downtown covina. I love that there are a block of new shops/eateries and this is one of them. I didn't make a reservation and came on a Saturday morning right when it opened. It was t that crowded but there was definitely a steady flow is parents and their young kids. There's a $9 painters fee but the paint is unlimited and you pay for the product separately. A mug can run you about $22-$27 bucks not including the painters fee. I think part of the fun of watching your kid make a mess The staff is super friendly and made suggestions on color schemes. I liked that there was a kid friendly sink right in the back so you can wash off your child. The selection was also pretty wide, much better than the Pasadena location. We were enjoying our Sunday afternoon when we walked past this place on our way to try a new ice cream place next door . My 4 year old wanted to try it out so we walked in to check it out . The gentleman behind the counter greeted us and answered our questions he did mention it was an hour before closing and told us usually it takes more to paint a piece so we made the choice to come back another day and we did . The place is really clean , and the staff is nice and helpful . They pretty much let you paint in peace and if you need more paint you simply just ask . This does take a bit longer than a toddler has patience and as we were finishing up our pieces the gentleman behind the counter noticed our toddler getting restless came over to our table and asked if it was okay if she had an otter pop . That otter pop allowed my husband and I to finish our projects so we are thankful for that .
