Reading a story to the kids

The entire staff, location, and atmosphere was all amazing. I've been here twice with my child for their read a book and paint child event for ages 3-5 and it is well worth it. Color Me Mine has something for everyone of all ages.

We had a great time and my 11 year old daughter selected the cowgirl boot.

We had a great time and my 11 year old daughter had selected the cowgirl boot. The staff were friendly and helpful. They continued to see if we needed more paint.

I did not have reservations but I highly suggest you make one as they get booked up fast. Stopped by on a Sunday, I called in and they were able to accommodate my niece and I. You get 2 hrs to paint your ceramic. Each ceramic ranges from $25-+ $55. They have some options that include lights as night lights- my niece got the bear with the light and I opted in for the mushroom. Staff is friendly and attentive. It takes about a week for your ceramics to be ready for pickup. I enjoyed my time here, perfect for dates, girls day, and families.

Came here for a date and had a really wonderful time! The staff are VERY attentive and helpful, good selection of ceramics and colors, clean and open space inside. I'm excited to get my piece back in a few days to see the finished product. I will definitely be back with friends in the future!

So colorful!

A bunch of artists painting these lovely sculptures in under 2 hours... A couple of us made it simple and the rest of us couldn't hell but to get into detail. It was pretty funny and so much fun. Looking forward to another staff outing here! Love the options of ceramics. Prices of the pieces range from $26+.

I have been here a few times with my niece and we absolutely love it here! Located in Downtown Covina, parking isn't too difficult. There are plenty of public lots to park in as well as some street parking as well. It is recommended to make a reservation but they do take walk in's. I have done both. When I went In without a reservation every table was filled, but thankfully we were able to get a spot after just waiting 10 mins as a couple was finishing their painting when we got there. If you do make a reservation online, there is a fee, but that is put toward your total when you pay. Everyone that I have encountered that works there has been very kind, welcoming, and willing to help you while you are there. You start off by picking a pottery piece to paint, and once you get to your table and are ready to paint they will give you a pallet where you can choose which colors you want and they will get them for you as well as refill as needed. There is a sitting fee alongside your pottery of choice. You have 2 hours to complete your pottery painting and they send you a text when your pottery is ready to be picked up. They even have some events here that I plan on taking part of one day! IT's probably one of my nieces favorite activities, if she could go every day she would (but that is not in my budget!!!)

Today, January 13, 2024, having checked the hours of operation, I brought my kids for some fun at 7:30 pm I felt not welcome and the old man was so rude. I told them that it was our first time, he replied it takes about 2 hours but kids usually finish faster to what I replied that's fine because my kids are the ones that want to paint. His reply was that they were closing at 8 pm and there was not enough time for them to finish. After reading more reviews, I can conclude he is racist, and I hope the corporate office reads the reviews and remove him from the place as he is giving Color me mine a bad reputation. BTW, I called at 8:30 and they answered the phone.... What does it tell me. . .

This Color Me Mine location is the best one I've been so far. The workers were really nice. You can see the owner Mr. Bryant and his wife Mrs . Akiko. One of their employees Sabrina was super nice. She was by far my favorite employee. The other ones were great too, though. On certain days, this location has awesome events. Some of the events were : Taylor Swift, Christmas Ornaments, BTs, and Sanrio. I went here with my friends for the Taylor Swift event and came back for the Christmas Event with another friends. It's far from my home but coming here was worth it. This is the best Color Me Mine location that I've been. You should totally go here.

This is a sweet little spot for an interactive date (romantic or otherwise)! I took my family here for a birthday and got seated quickly without an appointment. It was our first time at this location and the staff was fairly helpful in getting us set up. We were instructed to pick our desired pieces, pick a palette of colors, and get to painting. I'd been to a different Color Me Mine location and there, they had also shown us the variety of additional paint options and how to get more if we wanted. Other than this difference, the rest of the experience was similar and easy to follow. I was able to pick up our finished/glazed pieces about five days after the initial painting day. We paid around $70 total for two pieces, including the $9 painter's fee (per person). Overall would recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun activity in Covina!

Had so much fun here! I booked a reservation for me & my family on my birthday and we had a blast. And just tonight me, my sister, and mom came back for kpop night. Everyone is always helpful & super patient with first timers and anyone still learning. There's a lot of options at this location, so it's very hard to choose what piece you want to customize. They glaze and bake pretty quickly too!

I bring my granddaughter and she loves it here. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable and work area's and surroundings are very clean and well kept. And they have a great selection of ceramics to paint.

Took my son to Color me Mine on a Wednesday around 3pm. There were only 2 other people in there. I was happy we missed the big crowds I see on the weekends. The store is really cute and I'm happy to have something like this walking distance from my house. The man at the front desk was very helpful and gave us some painting tips. There wasn't a huge selection of pottery pieces but enough. It's a little pricey if you are bringing more than one child. There's a $9 studio fee+the cost of the pottery you choose. I don't think saw anything under $20. It was a fun experience but definitely not coming here too often. I did find it to b relaxing, fun, and overall enjoyable. I would recommend trying at least once. If it was a little more affordable it would have received 5 stars.

We scrambled for a last-minute change of plans, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. They were incredibly accommodating: we hosted the birthday party right in the studio, decorated the space, brought our own food and non-alcoholic drinks, and set up a special designated area for the birthday girl and her friends. Laura and Bob were beyond patient and so helpful with the kids, guiding them every step of the way to make sure everything came out just right. The selection of pottery pieces is huge (overwhelming in the best way) and they even surprised us with a complimentary plate featuring all her friends' little fingerprints. What a thoughtful touch! It was such a fun, creative day, and everyone stayed nice and dry. Highly recommend for families, especially when plans go sideways.

I love Color Me Mine, and this location is one of my favorites to go to! It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!

An overdue review based on the pottery wheel class and glazing option experience. For reservations,…read moreI made it for two people through their website. This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.

They couldn't find it under either. Jennifer, the owner messaged me on the side and offered studio credit for when we come back to glaze. I appreciate that offer since my bf and I had to and have to coordinate this date to come to the studio. I live around half an hour away and he lives over an hour away, which made it that much more disappointing when we drove all the ways last time only to be told it was lost. I messaged and asked to see if it was possible to have our pottery ready this time for when we came to glaze to prevent further mishap. They were kind and had our pottery ready for when we head back. I was happy with how our pottery turned out. It was with the red clay so it looked tan. Ashley helped us with the glazing. She gave us tips and instructions. They have a ton of different colors. They have a color section that's easier to work well and good with designs. There's also another set of colors that have some details and undertones. I picked four colors and hoped for the best. It's interesting because the more special glaze are all shades of gray, even when you paint it on. It's really is trusting the process. They put our pottery on the rack and told us it would be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping the pick up this time goes better! This glazing experience went well and I appreciate, Jennifer, the owner, reaching out personally and offering the studio credit.
