Easy reservation system. The staff here is so nice. They don't allow you to get up to refill the paint which I thought was interesting. I never had that experience at my local color me mine, but I get it. There's a variety of items to choose from. My party had a difficult time choosing lol. We had a great time though and our items were ready on the date they gave us. We came later in the day, and weren't rushed to finish painting which was nice. I'm not the best at painting but I had a great time putting together a plate for my niece

This was such a fun holiday experience for me and my family! The staff were super nice & attentive! I was happy that I booked in advance ($5/person!) to reserve a table! The money goes toward the final price anyway so you're not paying anything 'extra'! The designs were ready in less than a week, and they called me when it was done!

Haven't been to one of these places since I was a kid! This location was doing a promotion of $5 studio fees (normally $12) after 5 pm so a friend and I made a reservation for 7:30 pm on a Friday night. This Color Me Mine is located in downtown Brea so there are two parking structures to park at and some street parking. We arrived a few minutes late to our reservation but the girls there were so accommodating. They started our time after we picked out our pieces and sat down even though the place was packed. Ceramic pieces start at $28 and there was a huge variety to choose from. Once you pick your piece, you sit down and someone will come explain the painting process to you. There are so many paint color options as well as tools for you to use. My design required precision and was quite detailed so I used a squeeze bottle with paint instead of a standard paintbrush. You have 2 hours to paint and if you don't finish you can come back another time to continue painting for free or you can buy a paint kit to take home to paint. We both finished within the 2 hour period and our pick up was a week later. It was a super fun activity to do and the girls at this location were so sweet so I definitely recommend it here!

Perfect spot for a couple hours of fun and creativity. Would be fun with friends, family and also date night!! They have a wide selection of ceramics you can choose from, tons of colors along with other tools to make ur art look beautiful! The customer service here is sooooo sweet and attentive. They make sure you have everything you need and come by to check on you frequently. Lots of tables inside and also outside. Can't wait to pick up our pieces and excited to come back to do some more painting!

Second time at this location but it had been a long time ago, and today was another great experience. The customer service here is phenomenal, everyone that works here is very friendly and helpful. The studio fee is $10 for kids, and then you pay the price of whatever you pick out. All materials are included, with unlimited paint, the glaze, etc. I came here with my kid to paint a coffee mug for Father's Day. We were there about an hour or so painting, we took our time and had a great time. Can't wait to see the finished product next week!

Was here Friday night for the $5 studio fee. It was so much fun!! Took my cousin and it was her first time, she loved it. Place was busy but staff did a great job at making their rounds to help customers. Loved that the music wasn't blasting, so we were able to hear each other talk while painting. We pick up our items 5/1 and I'm so exited!!

Never really thought I'd come to a place like this, but here we are. Unleash your creativity at this cozy ceramic painting studio! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, this place has something for everyone. Perfect for a fun day out, date night, or group events--just pick a piece, paint it, and we'll glaze and fire it for you! It takes about a week to get your master piece back.

Went here for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and we had so much fun. We made reservations and it went so smooth. It was busy for Valentine's Day so getting around was rough because it was packed. We checked in and our table was ready, we picked our items and they were ready for us. They kept checking in to see if we needed any more paint. They made many rounds. We never had to hunt anyone down they were constantly checking in and making sure we have enough paint. It was so much fun. Lots to choose from. It was my first time and they explained everything perfectly. I can't wait to see how they turn out in about 10 days!

Heart shaped ceramic plates we painted

My wife and I ALWAYS enjoy our time here and have fun painting together. We normally come here as a spur of the moment event. And the employees always greet us with a warm smile and do their best to get us a table as quickly as possible. We never feel rushed while painting and that goes a long way! The employees treat EVERYONE with such respect and kindness. The options for colors and pieces to paint is really great! Prices are a bit high for some ceramic pieces so definitely take your time while choosing. Takes about a week for your art to be glazed and the end result is always such a treat! Highly recommend stopping by for a quick date or if you simply want to paint.

I came here for my birthday and it was my first time. The staff were very helpful and answered any questions or concerns I had. You can choose any piece on their shelf and they had a lot of different ceramics. The table was very organized and had plenty of different types of paint brushes. The whole experience was very relaxing and peaceful. I can't wait to come again! Also they gave me $5 off for following their TikTok or Instagram account.

12/28/23 - To preface, I did not pay for this experience; I came here as a guest of a birthday party. Also, when you're part of a party, you can't choose just anything off of the shelf to paint. There is a special shelf designated for parties with a distinct selection of pieces, consisting of a lot of different designs like animals as well as plates, bowls, and mugs. This review is a shout-out to Hannah who helped us out today and was really nice and amazing. She went above and beyond and I really appreciate what she did for us! She made sure that everyone could hear the instructions well and always checked up on us. There were almost 20 people in our party, and she made sure to memorize everyone's name and address us by those names in conversation. If you needed more of a certain color of paint, she would come up to you with the paint you needed even before you asked. She would give helpful suggestions as she walked around such as "Make sure to cover up this area" or "You could add another layer here" to ensure that our designs came out as good as possible. After the painting portion of the experience, she helped to pass out food and drinks. When it came time for the cake, there weren't enough forks for everyone. She took it upon herself to retrieve more forks and ran over to the Flame Broiler across the street to get them. Then, she came back with enough forks and even continued passing out the cake to our party. She really wanted us to focus on the experience, so she insisted that she would clear the trash and take care of all the cleaning herself, even though we tried to help out. She provided the best customer service I've had and seen in years. Thank you again Hannah!

Family of four are invited to friend 9 year old birthday party at Color Me Mine Brea. There are more than 10 kids in the party and kids spend considerable amount of time just painting the clay. Overall kids have fun, the only thing not working that night is one of restroom out of two. Kids birthday party can be arranged and you can bring cake and food.

Ask the Community - Color Me Mine

    How much is it?

Hello! You pay for the cost of ceramics you select + studio fee. Ceramics are ~$27 and up. Studio fee is $12 for Adults and $10 for Kids (12 & under). Studio fee includes all necessary supplies, paints, glazing, and firing.

Can the finished pieces go in the dishwasher?

Hi! Dishwasher is okay to use, but hand washing is best! Have a great day!

If I'm bringing in wine do I need to bring glasses as well or can you provide them?

Hi! Please bring your own glasses. Have a wonderful day and looking forward to seeing you!

How much does it cost to paint there? I am seeing there is a studio fee and ceramics price is separate. Around how much are the ceramics?

There are two different fees. If I recall correctly the paint fee was around $10, but some days you can paint for free though. The ceramics are anywhere from 10-$15 and up from there. I painted a 7-8" tall dragon last time and if I recall correctly… Read more

Is it possible to buy pieces from your store but paint them at home. Once I'm done, can I bring it back to your store for glazing, firing?

Hi! You sure can! We sell small containers of paint for $2 each so you can pick whichever colors you like. You pay for the piece and the cost of glazing and firing of the piece as well. Cost of glazing is 20% of the cost of whichever item you… Read more

How much is regular glazing & how much is the 3 day glazing? Just an estimate is fine. Thank you

Hi! Paint time for adults is $10 which includes the glazing and firing and $7 for kids. The 3 day rush fee is $5 for every two items. Thank you!

I was wondering if it was possible to bring your own pottery peices and pay just the studio fee to have it painted and glazed?

Unfortunately we cannot accept items that are not from a Color Me Mine. Thank you!

This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.

They couldn't find it under either. Jennifer, the owner messaged me on the side and offered studio credit for when we come back to glaze. I appreciate that offer since my bf and I had to and have to coordinate this date to come to the studio. I live around half an hour away and he lives over an hour away, which made it that much more disappointing when we drove all the ways last time only to be told it was lost. I messaged and asked to see if it was possible to have our pottery ready this time for when we came to glaze to prevent further mishap. They were kind and had our pottery ready for when we head back. I was happy with how our pottery turned out. It was with the red clay so it looked tan. Ashley helped us with the glazing. She gave us tips and instructions. They have a ton of different colors. They have a color section that's easier to work well and good with designs. There's also another set of colors that have some details and undertones. I picked four colors and hoped for the best. It's interesting because the more special glaze are all shades of gray, even when you paint it on. It's really is trusting the process. They put our pottery on the rack and told us it would be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping the pick up this time goes better! This glazing experience went well and I appreciate, Jennifer, the owner, reaching out personally and offering the studio credit.
