Hello Pottery This was our first time at Hello Pottery next to Macy's at the Brea Mall and we had such a great experience. They accept walk-ins, which made it easy for us to stop in and try it out. We chose a pencil case and were able to add all the charms a little girl could dream of. The larger charms do have an extra fee, but there were still plenty of cute options to choose from. The staff was very attentive and gave helpful tips and pointers while we were working. Micaela was especially wonderful--so sweet, patient, and welcoming. The store is very lucky to have her on their team. We'll definitely be back!

When everything was ready, she shared how to hold the bags of glue to squeeze and make designs. It was such a fun, chill, therapeutic activity to do together! We loved the accessibility to various charms and all the designs offered. Had such a great experience and would love to return again! After we were done, they received our information to contact when items are ready for pick up :)

I love this studio! My friend and I decided to come here to do some creative activity. The staff were so sweet and accommodating and always checking up on me and my friend. I did cream glue art and I love that for this studio, I got to have unlimited charms to decorate my flower lamp. I loved how it turned out. Took my daughter here during Christmas break and we did the creme glue for a phone case. She absolutely loved it. it was also super slow so the attendant was very helpful. She allowed us to pick as many gems as we wanted and we got 3 colors. A base color and then 2 other decorative goals. The charms are super cute. I think it lasted like 30 min? Also the store is right in front of the men's Macy and there is the kids indoor playground so for my little one it was a great way to distract him while my older daughter was able to do it. read more

I don't even know that they deserve two stars. To start we booked a reservation for 6 not a "party for 6" where it would have a gratuity fee. It states on the website it's for parties of 6 that are booked for an actual party where they set out a table. That is not what we booked for. Was still charged the gratuity fee and they never took off the $60 deposit fee and told me I'd need to bring my card back for a refund and low and behold I get there and they DO NOT NEED MY CARD. So they in fact could have processed my refund over the phone. it's actually crazy since they weren't very helpful, didn't have very many supplies (paint, paint brushes, foam brushes) 6 colors weren't available not having pastels or basic colors like black and white is unacceptable at this type of establishment it's a place you go to, to paint they should have stock of all these types of colors all the time. They also had paint brushes there were clearly not taken care of the right away since most had bad bristles already which means no one takes care of them/handles them correctly after use. When asking for paint it was a slow process since they had only two employees working. It's incredibly busy on weekends staffing two employees is ridiculous. When we picked up our pieces they stacked and put them all in two SMALL bags there were 6 pieces. They even put the small cupcake piece in the other bigger cupcake who does that for pottery work that was painted that should be packaged alone or at least only two to a bag. Putting 4 items in a small bag is crazy work. Please train your employees to be better professionally. Would never come back here. Go to color me mine and don't make the same mistake! Editing my review to one star because when we got home we realized they gave us someone else's pottery pieces. After all the trouble to start you would think at least they would've given us the correct pieces! read more

Celebrated my daughter's birthday party with her friends at Hello Pottery Brea Mall. It was such a great activity for the kids. We booked the birthday package which gave us over 3 hours of activity. We brought pizza, snacks and drinks and we also decorated one side of the studio for our daughter and her friends. Every one had a blast!! Thank you Mica for all your help! She was very accommodating and always available. She even played music that my daughter loves!!! Mica is amazing and made sure we are happy all while helping a packed studio on a Saturday afternoon!!! Thank you for the amazing experience for the kids! They all had a blast. read more

I was so disappointed in our experience from the very start. I made a reservation online but it didn't matter. When we showed up at our appointment time the employee was not aware of our reservation. Luckily there was one table that was not occupied or dirty. We chose the items we wanted to decorate and were told to choose 20 charms for each project. But we were told by a different employee just a few days earlier that the projects included unlimited charms. The employee called someone to ask and we were given permission to choose more charms. But the charm selection was so small my kids had trouble finding enough charms they wanted to use. After choosing our glue colors the employee opened the piping bags and put the tips on. We were not provided any instruction. We weren't taught how to pipe the glue or even given a choice on which tips she put on the bags for us. We tried our best on our own but the glue was so watery that it kept on sliding off the sides of our projects. I had to keep on wiping the glue and try to keep in from sliding the entire time. In the end 4 projects cost us $290. My kids were so disappointed in the experience. Their projects came out messy looking because of the watery glue which also made the charms slip. After finishing we were given a choice to walk out with the project on a paper plate or pick up later after drying. The projects were way too wet and not stable there is no way we could have carried them out of the store. So we will be picking them up a few days later but kids have not even asked about the projects. They were all so defeated and sad. The whole experience was a very expensive disappointment. read more

I love Color Me Mine, and this location is one of my favorites to go to! It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!

Love that you can bring in your own food and drinks while painting your ceramic. Love their selection of ceramics. They have a lot of cute ones from small to large. There is a price difference if you plan on choosing a bigger ceramic to paint. Once you choose your ceramic, staff will tell you how to choose your paint colors and how many layers are needed for a certain color to show. They're very thorough at making sure you get what you need. My girlfriends and I spent about 3 hours here. It was very fun. We got to catch up with each other during this period. Picking up our ceramics did take about a week. They'll hold your items for you for up to 60 days. Definitely a fun activity for all ages!

Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. My daughter doesn't really take to strangers well. She did have an adjustment period but has soon blossomed in the infant classroom and loves her teachers. They have been able to help our child make huge progress with nap time and even with playing with other kids. My daughter also has an egg and milk allergy. They assigned high chair specifically for her and are always on the look out for any reactions from food. She recently outgrew her milk allergy but not the egg. During the recent mother's day Muffins with Mom's event, they provided a special vegan muffin for her so she can enjoy the event with me. The teacher running the event wasn't my daughter's regular teacher, but she recognized my daughter anyway and knew to offer me the vegan muffin. I was so touched by this gesture. We haven't had experience with the older classrooms, but have toured them and are rest assured my daughter will grow up well cared for and well educated here at CCs. We are excited for her to learn and grow here. We are so pleased with our experience that we've already reserved our spot for our next baby due in a few months. She started crying and holding onto me when she saw the new lane and instructor and said she doesn't want new things. Within seconds, Mr Scott came over and began comforting her asking if she'd like to see her other instructor Mayumi. Mayumi wasn't even dressed to go in the water, but rolled up her jeans and sat in another lane with her. Mr Nori came by to say hi and comfort her, and Mr Christopher gave her a private lesson for a few minutes while she adjusted. He eventually asked her if she wanted to join him in the new lane with the new instructor, and she said yes and was happy the rest of the time. Mayumi also came back to check on her. This is the level of care any parent looks for in a school and I highly recommend coming here.

Very disappointing experience. I paid for ceramic processing with a promised 7-14 day turnaround and received the message to pick it up on the very last day, leaving no room for error. The finished plate had multiple cracks and black dots in the glaze, making it feel defective and poorly made. Despite this, I was not offered even a partial refund for the additional processing fee. The only solution was to wait additional weeks for them to "fix" it, which completely ignores the original deadline. This place has a lack of quality control and customer responsibility. I had such a great experience at Hello Pottery! They offer decoden art and ceramic painting, and the whole place is very clean, organized, and welcoming. The worker was incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful. She was very attentive the entire time and made sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better.
