Hello Pottery This was our first time at Hello Pottery next to Macy's at the Brea Mall and we had such a great experience. They accept walk-ins, which made it easy for us to stop in and try it out. We chose a pencil case and were able to add all the charms a little girl could dream of. The larger charms do have an extra fee, but there were still plenty of cute options to choose from. The staff was very attentive and gave helpful tips and pointers while we were working. Micaela was especially wonderful--so sweet, patient, and welcoming. The store is very lucky to have her on their team. We'll definitely be back!

Cute selection of ceramics to choose from. Everything was clean and organized, just pick what you want and then your colors and paint away. Staff was helpful even when the kiddos kept asking for more paint. The kids loved it and it was a fun creative way to spend an hour

It was an amazing experience, music was not too loud and the music taste was very good. The worker was very nice and kept looking out for us and trying to help us out as much as she could!

This is a really creative place full of multiple types of crafts: from ceramic painting and cream glue activities. It's definitely on the expensive side, but they do provide a good amount of colors and object options to decorate.

Hello Pottery is such a great spot to get creative! It's located in the Brea Mall on the first floor under Bath and Body Works. They offer a number of fun activities to do such as painting pottery, fluid art, cream glue, and mosaic art. I came here with my sister on a Saturday afternoon to do a glue activity as an early birthday celebration :) Service was friendly in explaining how it all worked. We picked an item (a pencil case) then chose our 2 colors of glue. Staff prepared them while we chose our charms to use and sat down. When everything was ready, she shared how to hold the bags of glue to squeeze and make designs. It was such a fun, chill, therapeutic activity to do together! We loved the accessibility to various charms and all the designs offered. Had such a great experience and would love to return again! After we were done, they received our information to contact when items are ready for pick up :)

Such a cute place!!! Passed by this place in the Brea mall and they have so many different DIY experiences you can do! We decided to do the doll creation since we didn't have that much time and the little doggies and kitties were so adorable! We had fun putting in the eyes, nose, cutting the fur, and brushing on blush! Jerika, Camila, and Ashly were so awesome!!! Super friendly as soon as we walked in! They walked us through all the different activities and experiences they have and even helped us during the creation process! They were so patient and really helped guide us through the process while still letting us make all our own creative choices! Absolutely recommend for all ages!!! Can't wait for our next trip :)

Came here for a birthday party and all the kids had a great time. Kids got the option of picking an item to decorate with colored cream glue and adorable charms. A fun and unique place located next to the indoor play area. They also have ceramics to paint!

Super cute studio and fun liquid bear experience. I brought my kids here but really I wanted to make one myself. Lots of options to choose from so the fun never ends. Looking forward to the next creative project.

I love Color Me Mine, and this location is one of my favorites to go to! It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!

The space itself is gorgeous with terrazzo tables, rattan pendant lights, and a wall of colorful glaze swatches that make it feel like a creative sanctuary. We painted ceramics together and the whole experience was way more fun than either of us expected. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, checking in on us throughout without being intrusive. I actually slipped out mid session to grab drinks from next door and they had zero issues with us bringing them in, which was such a nice touch. And when we ended up finishing right at closing time, the team handled it with total grace and never made us feel rushed. The glaze color wall alone is worth the visit. There are so many options that it's almost overwhelming in the best way. Whether you're artistic or a complete beginner like me, you'll leave with something you're genuinely proud of. If you're looking for a unique, low key date spot with a great vibe and even better staff, Kitsch is it. We're already planning our next visit!

Love that you can bring in your own food and drinks while painting your ceramic. Love their selection of ceramics. They have a lot of cute ones from small to large. There is a price difference if you plan on choosing a bigger ceramic to paint. Once you choose your ceramic, staff will tell you how to choose your paint colors and how many layers are needed for a certain color to show. They're very thorough at making sure you get what you need. My girlfriends and I spent about 3 hours here. It was very fun. We got to catch up with each other during this period. Picking up our ceramics did take about a week. They'll hold your items for you for up to 60 days. Definitely a fun activity for all ages!

An overdue review based on the pottery wheel class and glazing option experience. For reservations,…read moreI made it for two people through their website. This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.

They couldn't find it under either. Jennifer, the owner messaged me on the side and offered studio credit for when we come back to glaze. I appreciate that offer since my bf and I had to and have to coordinate this date to come to the studio. I live around half an hour away and he lives over an hour away, which made it that much more disappointing when we drove all the ways last time only to be told it was lost. I messaged and asked to see if it was possible to have our pottery ready this time for when we came to glaze to prevent further mishap. They were kind and had our pottery ready for when we head back. I was happy with how our pottery turned out. It was with the red clay so it looked tan. Ashley helped us with the glazing. She gave us tips and instructions. They have a ton of different colors. They have a color section that's easier to work well and good with designs. There's also another set of colors that have some details and undertones. I picked four colors and hoped for the best. It's interesting because the more special glaze are all shades of gray, even when you paint it on. It's really is trusting the process. They put our pottery on the rack and told us it would be ready for pick up in 2-3 weeks. I'm hoping the pick up this time goes better! This glazing experience went well and I appreciate, Jennifer, the owner, reaching out personally and offering the studio credit.

It's a great concept and fun but would not recommend this business to anyone.
