We invited about 10 of Audrey's close friends and classmates, and the kids had an amazing time together. The party started with a one-hour instructor-led art lesson, and every child got to create their own beautiful art piece to take home. This year's party theme was "K-pop Demon Hunters," and Mr. Nathaniel and Mr. Kai did an incredible job bringing the entire theme to life. From the decorations and setup to the fun K-pop music playing in the background, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The kids were excited the moment they walked in and had so much fun the entire time! After the art lesson, we enjoyed cake time and play time, and it was so special seeing both the children and parents happily enjoying the celebration together. We are so grateful to Mr. Nathaniel and Mr. Kai for helping us create such a beautiful memory for Audrey's 8th birthday. All of the parents kept saying how cute and creative the party was! I had no idea what to expect or if I was going to be able to learn anything. On our first class, my son chose the art medium - sketching. By the end of the class, with Valerie's guidance, I had actually completed my first drawing; a light bulb! My son's project was a lot more involved and completed his drawing in three classes. He sketched a dog, and WOW!!! I've always receive complements on his 3rd grade school paintings (now in 8th grade) but Valerie really helped him tap into his talent. I later decided that I was more compelled to paint dramatic landscaped and started in acrylic then moved on to oil painting. I always felt that I had a natural appreciation for nature and loved to bask in its beauty; however, after taking this class, I've begun to notice colors in nature that I've never pick up on before; like, all of the purples, reds, blues, and variations of whites and greys in the clouds. I really appreciate Valerie's teaching style. She is very patient yet is able to push the student out of their comfort zone with grace. The learning environment is comfortable and causal. Artists of all skill levels and ages are welcome and there is never a competitive spirit. Only appreciation and encouragement.

What a creative way to spend the afternoon!…read more I was part of a Turkish mosaic lamp class hosted at Art Masterclass. First off - it's definitely harder to make them than it seems. lol If you have option paralysis or get overwhelmed easily, prepare yourself! Look at alllllll the colors in my photos available to use and maybe plan ahead. They provide templates of different floral, geometric, and banded designs that you can use, but you can go off-script if your noggin comes up with an idea! They give you a decent amount of time to create a design, glue said design in place, and then fill the rest of your lamp's empty space in with the tiny glass beads. There are a few final steps you can't complete while in "class" but that's due to the glue needing time to sit. You're not left in the dark however, as they show you a how-to video which is included in your take-home kit via a QR code. =) I noticed this place has other classes that seem like fun (terrarium and some sort of small dish painting?). I may need to return. Notes: - You interact with glue so you'll likely get messy. - There's a restroom to wash your hands, or if nature calls. - In the small bead fill-in time frame, everyone drops them. It's human. It became part of the experience. Aim for your tray!

I will definitely return for a girls night or just a night out of the house. Super clean, friendly staff, easy parking in the connecting lot. You can also bring in any of your own food and drink! We love Kitsch, and we find ourselves there often! The price…read moreis reasonable, the environment is clean and calm, and I love the laid back and relaxing energy. All the employees are helpful and kind. They check in a right amount, and do a great job not making you feel rushed. 10/10 environment. Their pieces change through the year, so it's nice to come back and find seasonal things to paint. They close at 9:00pm, but we've found ourselves here for a few hours, so plan accordingly! The only downsides I've found are after the firing process is done. Some of our old pieces from when we first came a few years ago have crazing, which makes the pottery unsafe for food or drink. If your piece is for decoration, it should be fine. I haven't noticed it on newer pieces, so they may have adjusted the way their fire them. The second thing is that all my pieces, new and old, have pin marks from being supported in the kiln. It prevents a smooth surface, but also, I've noticed it's an entry way for moisture, which makes it unsafe for food and drink. One of my pieces held onto moisture after washing it because of the pin holes. All this to say, it doesn't deter us from visiting. We still love coming to Kitsch and will continue to visit. Its a great place to catch up, go on a date, or just hang out.
