She's very understanding, intuitive, and observant. She knows the needs of each child and nurtures the artistic side for each child by their personality and skills. When my child was younger, she learned the basic elements of art, from crafts and mixed media, from sewing and needle crafting. As she got older, she started working on ceramics, painting, production design, and digital art. Miss Connie works with the community and schools. She has students enter local art contests as well as art contests world wide. She has knowledge of preparatory art schools in southern california that can prepare a child for its future courses. Beth was very informative and give me tips on how much I should bring. Like most sewing classes, I wasn't expecting to complete the project because sewing projects typically just takes much longer than 2 to 3 hours and I know that I'm there mostly to learn technique. The teacher, whose name escapes me (so sorry), was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy-going while the classroom is very open and inviting. The teacher pointed out helpful tips during the prep and sewing process, which I greatly appreciated. I had fun chatting and getting to know the lady I worked along side of. Overall, it was a very fun and rewarding class. I took my project home and finished it in about three hours. Knowing that I have time at home to finish it helped me not feel super rushed during class. It's honestly rare to find a sewing class these days and I'm just so grateful that I found this place. I definitely look forward to taking another class there.

Her drawing got the principal Award at the OUSD Through My Eyes Exposition of the Arts. We were very proud of her accomplishment.
