How awesome this store is so cute and they will also be opening a coffee shop next door! Not only can you paint but also have a nice cup of joe! The staff were so friendly and so kind, they gave us a tour and a sneak peak as to how the whole store runs! I really enjoyed the part that you have unlimited time and access to paint and stay until you finish your piece! I am really excited to come here and paint some beautiful projects!

So pleased with my experience here. This is basically just a cuter, family owned, color me mine. They're building a coffee shop too which is going to be so amazing. Let's get into customer service - Lulu was absolutely amazing to my friend and I who are not experts or artists in the slightest. I really wanted to do zebra print and Lulu walked me through how to do it and made me feel super confident. I ended up running out of time having to leave, but queen lulu offered to finish it for me! I could have come back as well but of course preferred her to do it lol. Picking it up was a total breeze as well. I love my new cup which I'm using as a toothbrush holder. I absolutely will be coming back and showing more friends!!

I had an amazing experience at this Clay Cafe. It is a family owned business with very nice owners. I went there on a Friday night and picked up a beautiful set of teapot and a mug. The process was smooth and I had a peaceful time. I was visiting the area and I highly recommended them anyone who is interested in painting clay! They didn't have the cafe or throwing wheel part open yet but I will definitely go back when I am in LA again!

We just had my daughter's birthday party at Clay Cafe and they were amazing! The party host was awesome and so helpful with any and everything that was needed. The space is so cute so really not much else is needed. They cleaned up everything which was really appreciated. It was just so easy and I highly recommend for events or just to go and have a fun day of pottery painting!

We had the sweetest experience at Clay Cafe. My 5-year-old came in with a very specific creative vision (as five-year-olds do!) and the owner, Santi, could not have been more patient or encouraging. He truly went out of his way to help her bring her idea to life -- talking through her plan, helping with techniques, and treating her like a real artist rather than rushing her along. You can feel the care in this place. It's thoughtful, warm, and clearly run by people who genuinely love what they do and love supporting kids' creativity. Such a special little business. We'll definitely be back.

Had an excellent daytime date here painting some pottery with great tunes playing and an awesome staff. Tons of kitchenware and figure choices to paint on and the owners are really helpful teaching different methods if you wanna get creative. Cost of the item is what you pay. Paint, firing, etc is all included in the price. Awesome place for a birthday, paint party, date, or just chill relaxing hang spot. Love that it's family owned and can't wait to be a regular there.

Stopped by as a walk-in and was greeted right away! The staff was super helpful, and they had such a great selection of pieces to choose from. I'll definitely be coming back!

I love Clay Cafe! Not only is the staff so kind and friendly, they're talented too. I've gone three times and plan to go more. There's nothing better than spending a couple hours painting. They offer a large variety of ceramics to choose from and have tons of colors and tools. The staff seem genuinely happy to be there, which sets a really nice atmosphere. I know they're working on a coffee concept, which I think will be great. They let you bring drinks and snacks in which I appreciate. I want to try a class with them as well! I cannot recommend clay cafe more.

ARTime BARRO is part pottery studio, part community space, and is a relaxing, chill place where you can unleash the creativity you thought was dead, where your artistic spirit gets to come out to play, if only for just a little bit of time in this crazy world. On a recent weekend, I had the opportunity to take the One-Time Class, which is a one-hour course designed for complete beginners. You get to make two pieces, one by hand at the table and one on the pottery wheel. The class size was small (just 5 people) and we got great 1:1 instruction and guidance from our knowledgeable instructor Max. I've always wanted to try the wheel and was surprised how hard it was to use it but it was such a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once. After you sculpt your pieces, you are invited to come back to hand paint (glaze) your work at no additional cost. You can also have them do a one-color glaze for you, but after I saw all the multi-colored pieces of other folks previous to me, it was no contest to decide that I wanted to color my pieces myself. You have up to 3 months to come back to glaze so it's very doable in anyone's busy LA (corporate) lifestyle. Pricing was very reasonable for such a cool bespoke experience. There are a lot of pottery painting studios (e.g. Color Me Mine) but this is awesome bc you get to make the pottery AND color it later! I've already recommended this place to countless people!

They have a variety of objects to choose from, and we signed up for the ramen bowl class. The facility is large and beautifully appointed with several spaces to create pottery. My wife and I were completely new to pottery, so it was a bit intimidating when the class began. The instructor goes through the whole process in the beginning, but we couldn't hear much because of another group that was in another section. The acoustics of the place does not play well with multiple parties having conversations. However, the instructor was kind enough to answer our questions and assist with our mistakes. After you make your bowl, you get to choose different colors. You will not get your end product until several weeks. Overall, it was a great experience which is what you are paying for (not for my amateur oddly shaped bowl!).

Had taken ceramics in college for a whole semester but really could not remember a single thing...so was super excited for this. We got Joy as our teacher for a single session of no frills, basic pottery class and she was great. She was patient and pretty friendly to all of us beginners. Class was super organized. You grab your aprons, your wheel, your slab of clay and watch her demo. You go step by step because some steps will cause you to "lose it all" lol. She explained that their typical classes would allow you to see your clay through from a blob all the way to the firing process which takes several sessions of classes (gotta wait for things to dry etc). There is also a little board with all the firing colors and oxidization/reduction differences which is cool to see it nearly organized. I remember in school there were just huge vats of color hanging around for us to visualize. Afterwards we all helped clean up and labeled our pottery. Entire session was about 2-3 hours. Our bowls will likely be finished in a month after they dip them and fire them up for us. Would totally come back for more classes if they weren't so far... We also had some snacks and drinks some people had brought along but typically I don't think there would be much eating involved...hands are dirty. Theres also a parking lot so parking is handled.

This location is clean and mostly well-equipped (they didn't have squeeze bottles for writing), and it was easy and straightforward to get started. The staff were friendly and helpful. I chose a cereal bowl (believe me, though, I was very tempted by the more whimsical ceramic pieces, such as the cat jar and the, uh, "beakers" :P ), and while I didn't originally have a design in mind, I was inspired by the tile wall to paint an ocean theme. I spent a few very pleasant hours glazing my bowl. I added a small ceramic boat and asked the staff (writing it in the notes on my slip) to glue it in the middle of the bowl. It turned out SO cute.
