What a fun experience! My friend made a reservation for a group of 3. The studio is a small room inside the building it's located, but I think it's a cute quaint place. We had a 2-hour time limit to choose our charms (literally the hardest part because they're all so cute), and decorate our item of choice. At the time my friends and I went, they offered phone cases, hair clips/claws, handheld mirror, desk mirror, and jewelry boxes. The staff give you tips on piping the frosting glue with paper plates to practice before you start putting on your charms, which I thought was very helpful as a first timer. Tucked away in Sawtelle is a very cute DIY Art Workshop that deserves way more recognition! My friend and I stumbled upon it on Instagram and we are so glad we did! We were very excited to participate in the decoden decorating. They had plenty of options including jewelry boxes, claw clips, phone cases, mirrors, and more. The best part? No charm limits here! The staff was very friendly and informative, she guided us through a variety of piping techniques to make sure we were confident with our skills before we got started on our own creations. Parking: Difficult; do not park in the back parking lot. There is a public parking lot down the street from Lumee. I came here with my niece. She made a jewelry box, and I decorated a phone case. It cost $95 total for both of us. It was pricey for what you're making, but you're paying for the ambiance and white glove experience. When you enter, they greet you. You pick a seat and tell them what you plan to decorate. Then, you pick up your tray and select charms. After you sit down, they demonstrate how the piping works. They give you a few techniques, but for the most part, you're left to your own devices. I don't think I would come back, but I enjoyed the experience. It's definitely a one-and-done. read more
