I was very excited to come here with my boyfriend. This was a last minute activity we chose to do since we were in the area and I was nervous that we were not able to decoden since we did not have a reservation. Luckily, when I went the store wasn't busy and walk-ins are welcome. With that, we were able to decorate. Parking situation is a bit tough depending on when you go. There is street parking if you get lucky. Just circle around a bit if you have trouble. You do not need reservations too since walk-ins are welcome. My boyfriend and I decided to decorate top loaders for our Pokemon cards and honestly, when I compare this place to other deco places, I will say other ones are better. The reason being they offer unlimited colors and charms you can put on your art pieces. Here, they limit you to either one or two creams (the colors of "icing") and charms too depending on what you purchase. Every extra charm purchase is $0.50. With that, this deco place was so fun but I would prefer them not making their stuff limited in quantity to creams and charms. Staff was nice too and the prices were okay. Like I said, if it was unlimited, it would be worth it but since it's not, to me at least it wasn't worth it. read more

I've always loved the look of decoden and have bought a bunch of decoden items in the past so I was happy to find this shop so I could finally try doing it myself! I dragged my boyfriend out here for my birthday and it was so much fun! They have a good selection of cute charms ranging from food charms, characters charms (Pokémon, Sanrio, Disney, etc.), seasonal charms, and more to fit a variety of aesthetics. The staff was really helpful with guiding us through the process since it was our first time and patient with us when we were indecisive. There are so many options of items to decorate, cream colors, and charms. We spent a good amount of time just deciding what we wanted. It was such a fun experience even for my boyfriend who wouldn't have picked this activity otherwise. It's a cute small business with the cutest atmosphere perfect for a girls date out. It can be a little pricier of an activity but totally worth it and I would love to come back again to decorate something else! Had a great time for my friends bday surprise! The staff member was very kind and walked us through the whole thing clearly. The selection of charms was soooo good like we had decision paralysis lol. And the value of the amount of charms you get per the item you select + the unlimited sprinkles is really good, better than other decoden places I've seen. And the store and supplies were very organized, making it a seamless experience for a first timer to decoden. Would highly recommend! Update: as a previous reviewer noted, some of my smaller metallic charms/sprinkles did go green upon reacting with the water/liquid in the glue, which I don't love. Not sure what is the best solution for this but maybe sticking with plastic charms/sprinkles is the move :( read more

The staff gives you a quick piping tutorial which is helpful. Really great activity for all skill levels. We didn't have a reservation and walked in around noon there was one other group. I paid a fixed price of $30 to bring my own object and $5 per glue. They had amazing service. The workers were kind and helpful. There were many available selections on charms and sprinkles. If you choose one of their menu products, it will be limited amount of charms. They also do have big and cute charms for a dollar. They also offer sprinkles which are on the house. Their website and social media facilitate reserving an appointment ahead of time (although walk-ins are welcome). Our time frame began at 12 pm and lasts two hours. At this time on a weekday, it was quite easy to find street parking (most metered). The space is very clean, cute and well-organized. First, you pick your item you'll be decorating (can be viewed ahead of time on their website too along with the corresponding prices) and pick your glue color(s). Then in these very cute flower-shaped trays, you can start choosing a set amount of charms depending on your item. There are smaller shelves where you pick out unlimited cute tiny charms. They offer a mini tutorial on piping, and you are free to start decorating! The service was so kind and helpful! There was even a $5 discount if you post and tag Deco Deco on instagram. It took us about 1hr and 30 min to leave with our finished beautiful products. They also packaged the items nicely in lovely packaging with clear instructions for drying time. The whole atmosphere of the place was so cute and inviting. The workers there were very helpful and patient with us while we looked through what they had to offer. There was a huge selection of different types of charms and glitters for you to use for your creation. the good: the atmosphere is great! the people were very nice. the selection of charms was so great! the bad: 1) the glue you use as the base for your design is IMPOSSIBLE to squeeze out if you don't get the clear/pearl/glittery glues. Completely impossible. The glue they teach you with is exponentially easier than the one they actually give you. 2) you have to sand the entire surface area of your item before you can start so the glue will stick. We spent a good amount of time just sanding with tiny disposable nail files. It seems like this is probably something that should be done before the product makes its way to the customer. 3) i've had the product for a few weeks now and all of the metal charms are turning blue - tarnished. For the price, I am surprised of the quality of the product. Overall, If you're going to go here, be prepared to spend a lot of money, a lot of time sanding, and make sure you pick the translucent/pearlescent glues so you can actually pipe it out and PLASTIC-ONLY charms so your items won't turn blue and tarnished. read more

The staff could not have been more accommodating and kind and the kids were in heaven between the beautiful decor and wonderful assortment of creations they made. They even made a beautiful sign for her bday on a sandwich board to make it even more personalized and special. I purchased an at home kit as I don't live in the area and wanted to try some decoden crafting. The products were packaged well and were delivered quickly. I had an amazing time completing my items and think the staff did an amazing job selecting a variety of charms that could appeal to a wide variety of people. I love decoden and have taken my daughters to several shops with great results-this isn't one of them! We were limited to a small amount of charms, which has never happened to us at a decoden shop before, and the blonde woman running the place was incredibly rude, fighting with her boyfriend on the phone the entire time and telling us we "shouldn't have voted for trump" if we didn't want tariffs to increase her prices?? I couldn't believe how poorly she treated my daughters, even making jokes to the other woman on staff, who apologized to us as soon as she left. It couldn't wash the bad taste out of our mouth, but she was very apologetic telling us the owner Blair didn't allow refunds. Do NOT waste your time at this overpriced shop, and if you do for some reason want to waste your money, do it when Blair isn't present. read more
