Walked into one of the best novelty stores in Los Angeles. They have unique one of gifts. Something for everyone. We spent about 30 minutes there. My daughter loved the complimentary jolly ranchers. Also they have a mystery bag where you reach in and grab a surprise. Really cool. The lady helping us couldn't have been anymore helpful. I highly recommend this shop. Amazing little gem. This spot caught my eye when I was on my way to "Hey Hey" to grab some Boba... and, Wow! I am in love with all of the handmade jewelry and unique pieces they have here. They have everything from jewelry to clothes to socks to candles to oils and tinctures and stickers. This is a cute little shop to come explore for special gift-giving. It gives mystical vibes. I came here specifically for a farewell gift for my coworker who loves astrology and numerology, etc. I found him a cute mini "Libra" candle with a quartz crystal in it as well as a "Cat Eye" necklace. He absolutely loves it. I guess what I'm trying to say is.... I will be back. read more

I walk in here regularly and they always have some new stuff to look at. Plus they have a super fun oracle deck out that you can pick a card from. I think this store has something for everyone you just have to look through everything, usually doesn't have the same stuff twice. Lots of local artists sell their stuff here too! Well I went in to look around and went to go grab a necklace, and something fell off the shelve and had a little chip that you can barely see. I explained that someone put out the necklace under the beetle causing the bettle to fall and that it wasn't my fault. The person behind the counter said that I broke the beetle thingy and should pay for it. I ended up paying for something that wasn't even my fault that it broke. I noticed that she put the necklace under something else that was Probaby going to break again! read more

I love shopping here! I've bought so many birthday gifts for my family and friends... and I always find something cute for myself too my favorite thing to buy is the earrings that always are GORGEOUS and so lovingly chosen/made. The owner, Tiger, radiates warmth and kindness; you can tell how much she loves every piece in the shop. Given its location, I wear skeptical. There are so many shops like this on Sunset that are overpriced, especially when it comes to selling crystals (which seem to be SO popular all of a sudden), sage and palo santo among other things that folx seem to gush over now. The shop owner was so kind and when I asked about a certain product, while she didn't have it, she offered something else that would help and be just as effective. I can't wait to go back! read more

This is me and my friend's favorite store to come to when we hang out. It's an absolute hidden gem. I could spend hours looking at all the mystical items, gadgets, jewelry, clothing, stationary, etc. I never leave this place empty handed. What a complete joy to shop here! I needed a chain for a pendant that I received as a gift and they salesgirl helped me find one that matched and even attached the pendant for me. I took my friend to order a custom dreamcatcher as a housewarming gift from me for her new home (away from home) in OK. The store has a lot of unique items - something to interest almost everyone. The parking in the area is limited/challenging but not impossible if you are ok with walking a little bit away. read more

I have to admit I don't usually look into stores that give off crystals/witchy vibes ... which is what I thought when I walked past the store. But I'm on a new mission for more rings, and I had time to kill, so I stepped in anyway and was really pleasantly surprised! This store is really great! There's several different altars, each with its own unique theme going on. They are really quite different from each other, and while several of them weren't my style, all of them were worth looking over, and there's clearly a lot of thought put into the design and layout. The store person was SUPER friendly, turns out she does make a lot of the jewelry herself, while the store owner makes a lot of designs. You can follow them on IG @ravenapothecary but when I glanced through the feed, it doesn't give you a good sense of all you could get in the store. However, I was told that you can order online (DM them) and request virtual tours where they show you the jewelry. I ended up buying one ring, it was at a really great price point, and I now have this store bookmarked in case I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I would definitely make this a regular stop-in to check the inventory. It seems like it can change frequently. LOTS of earrings, then necklaces and rings, as well as interesting sticker collections. They've got a variety of non-jewelry stuff going on too. read more

I loved visiting Raven Things Collected! The owner was so genuinely helpful. I got a new morning journal and found the best crystals for such a reasonable price! She also gave me a reading and it was one of the most accurate readings I feel like I've ever gotten. She even gave me a special spiritual oil to match the reading. The energy and vibe of the store is so welcoming and feels like a safe space. I'm definitely coming back to this store in the future! read more

Very cute collection of all things witchy, eclectic and otherwise whimsy. The women there are very nice. There's also a small salon in the back should you feel adventurous and fancy a shaved head style or bold colors. It's nice to have a shop like this in the community. Tiger is the owner and she supports local artisans and she is one too. I love Tiger's jewelry. Especially her new pieces that are made of clay. She has a lot of cute gift-y things that are one of a kind. There are a few cool gift shops in the area, but this store is priced well so I'm able to buy the things I love instead of just window shop. read more

Raven Things Collected is a gem of a store! I love visiting and shopping local artist's work and checking out all of the beautifully curated collections. Everything in there is so special and has a story. I purchased a gorgeous pair of earrings last week that the owner, Tiger made herself from beautiful and delicate rooster feathers. I get compliments on them whenever I wear them! This is my go to place for gifts and keepsakes. I went to wander and see a new spot, and came out with two gifts for upcoming celebrations, a wishlist and a really good feeling from my shop local experience. The range of items makes it hard to decide but so easy to find things that are exactly what you're looking for! Absolutely adore this shop! I was captivated by all the amazing products which seemed skillfully crafted, collected, and presented. Each different section elegantly transitioned into cool themes like vintage clothing, jewelry, nature, healing remedies, hand crafted art, mushrooms, dragons, ancient symbols... Highly recommend to come here to treat yourself and find a gift for those magical people in your life. My passions rarely get revved up by anything that is not food related, but I felt the warmth from the fire with this place and wanted to share. It was like walking into a dreamland. So many beautiful wares targeting all types of people. Not only did I get all of my Christmas shopping done in one spot, I had enough money left over to pay the bills ;) The prices here are ridiculous. Not to mention they were killing it with whatever playlist was groovin' throughout my shopping experience. I will be coming back for future gift giving and [of course] for myself. Check this place out! Especially with the dwindling countdown to December 25. Mom and pop! Have you found this place yet?! Somewhat hidden and very recently opened from what I understand. Just a bunch of junk. Lady seemed drunk when I was in there. Was a total mess. I don't know what happened to this store if it changed hands or something but it used to be cool. Very disappointing. Oh well hopefully something new comes in place soon. Can't imagine it staying for too long unless they get better products in. There are too many awesome stores on sunset for this faux spiritual junk store to survive. read more

I vividly remember when they launched their space theme and hung up "planet" lanterns with mini astronauts floating around the store ceiling. In the past, I've come for art galleries here. If you like hunting for cheap treasures this is the place to go with random things like magnet toys, hell money, fake gag poops, incense, and plastic swords. Located in Central Plaza, its the area of Chinatown that used to be for tourists. Central Plaza was a romanticized take on China with colorful "chinese" buildings and string-lights and lanterns for night. It's survived so long a shame so much has fallen into disarray, I especially miss the wishing fountain. Luckily Import Bazaar is still running strong. The store itself is small with tight aisles packed from floor to ceiling with lots of different stuff. They try to cluster like-items together so it helps a bit. I personally love the chaos and the store frozen-in-time. My kid was so bombarded with the crazy variety of items here he had a hard time choosing what he wanted. The sweet lady working that day gave him a little toy car for free. They have a hilarious variety of fake cigarettes and cigars for you bad kids :)

If I could leave negative stars I would…read more I've been a regular customer at Paper Plant for a while, but my last experience was incredibly frustrating. On my recent visit, I picked out several items and was ready to check out when I asked if I could purchase the paper vase and flower that were on display. It seemed like a simple request--especially since I was already buying multiple things and was clearly a paying customer. Instead of trying to help, the staff asked three different managers, and every single one just said "no." No explanation, no attempt to offer an alternative, and no effort to make the sale. It felt less like customer service and more like rigid rule-following for the sake of saying no. What makes it even more frustrating is that everything in the store is already very expensive. When customers are willing to spend that kind of money, you would expect at least a little flexibility or effort to accommodate a reasonable request. Retail should be about helping customers and making sales, not turning away people who are literally trying to buy your products. Walking out after that interaction was frustrating and disappointing. After that experience, I won't be coming back. Blocked.

Of all the shops dying off in Chinatown and becoming galleries and other things, this one has been…read moregoing strong since 1938 -- when businesses in "Old" Chinatown, near Olvera Street, were relocated into what was then Little Italy, forming "New" Chinatown. Tucked in the Central Plaza, which was opened and dedicated the same year Sincere opened, you can find it across from the fountain where people throw their pocket change, aiming for the receptacles labeled "Wealth," "Health," and "Luck." Tourists love Sincere for the shopping, perusing their stock of fans, lanterns, figurines, porcelain, hats, and other knickknacks after they bang on the gongs at the front entrance for "Good Luck" and "Money" and rub the giant Buddha statue's well-worn belly that greeted them as they entered. I dig Sincere for the things hanging above the shelving -- ceremonial dragon and lion heads, giant Peking opera masks, and massive lanterns -- and the nice people who own the place. It's one of the few shops left that embodies the old spirit of Chinatown.

I got really lucky and found a residential street spot on Grafton St. [Merchandise]: The shop offers many cute gifts including home goods, scented candles, tote bags, and a section with items for children and babies such as children's books and random animal plushies. I like some of their greeting card designs, but there is not much of a stationery selection. There is also a mini print vending machine at the front entrance. [Conclusion]: I am not sure whether I would drive out of my way just to shop for gifts here as there are too many random items. I got a couple of gifts here, a bracelet (nice selection) and a cute dragon toy/puppet (I kind of want one for myself) for friends who couldn't make the parade. Cute merchandise, fun to browse, decent customer service, prices are very reasonable. When in Chinatown, have some shopping fun!

They also had a lot of traditional items/supplies for tea ceremonies, calligraphy, and kimonos. I had fun looking through all the items as it brought me back to our summer in Japan. Apparently they have a long standing history in LA, having opened in 1946 after World War II. The shop occupies the site of the first Japanese-owned business in Los Angeles, circa 1890's. Pretty cool! I have a soft spot for everything animal shaped and soo.... I picked up a fun/odd felt tiger Christmas ornament, a cat pen, and a super cute bronze cat shaped spoon that hangs on the side of your cup. Did I need it? No.... but it's fun and makes me happy. Haha! Overall, great shop to browse around and find some unique gift items. They even wrap up your purchases in paper bags like they do in Japan. I LOVE IT!

Both leis and experiences were really seamless and didn't have any problems with my order. I went and picked up the leis a day in advance too. Inside you see one of their employees making leis at the table and there's options on the wall to choose from if your walking in. If you are ordering during a busy season, I recommend ordering it asap too. Would come back if I needed to go to any other graduations in the future!

The flowers were beautiful, costs were just a fraction of what it would cost to have a florist procure them and put them together. We had no idea, as to "our" budget, except it was given to us our wedding gift. My paternal aunt purchased, all of our wedding flowers here and placed together by family, with love. We were there, bright and early and got best quality flowers. It was day or two, before they would be used. They must be preserved, freshly and kept them inside my bathroom, in dark, cold room & cranked up AC. All of it was placed in bathtub for hydration.

First the website mentions parking on the roof and we could not find this parking. There was an area blocked off, but it didn't say full. It was just blocked off and the only reason I suspect that was their parking lot is because the exit was still open. So I had to pay for $10 across the street. Yes we could have found street parking further away, but I was already frustrated not having found their lot and my partner was just like I'll just pay. Let's just go across the street. Next even though it is mentioned on the website (I don't remember seeing it despite looking at the website multiple times) and there was a $2 entrance fee. what am I paying $2 for? Why am I paying $2 to shop and spend more money? I'm sorry just on the way there as we got closer, there are so many flower shops around the mart so I don't see why you wouldn't just go to one of those and get your flowers without having to pay an additional fee. So now, we are already $14 out-of-pocket and we havent done anything but try to park and step inside. We get inside we look around and I honestly did not find the prices to be that different from a farmers market perhaps a slightly bigger bouquet, or a couple of dollars cheaper, but there was nothing that was like ooh, this is a great deal. We ended up buying a large bouquet of lilies for $25. There is a stall in the back that had what I would consider actually good price prices. Five stems for $10 and a big bushel of another kind of flower for $6. We got those as well. My partner also really liked the plant guy and bought a plant from him from $20. Now here is where I really will not be back. I stopped at a stall called Choice America. I saw a really pretty set of mum's and asked how much they were & was told $10. The guy helping me then confirmed that they were $10 with somebody else. He then went on to say that one with eight stems was a higher price that I don't remember because I knew I wasn't getting that.When I got to the counter to actually pay, the woman was going back-and-forth with another customer about some order. They both seemed equally frustrated. Why is this important?.. because when it was my time to pay she said $10. I handed her a $20 bill. She opens the register and pulls out a five and some ones throws up her hands. I deduced that already being frustrated this is just one more thing on top as she doesnt have enough change to give me and instead turns to me and says $12.50. I kind of stumble and I say for what... tax or something? and she goes yeah tax clearly lying! Even if they did charge tax, which no other stall did, sales tax in Los Angeles on $10 it's not $12.50. The unfortunate problem is that I am black and I am not afforded the luxury to say something back because then I'm seeing as an angry black woman, have the police called on me not being believed etc. etc. so I just have to bite the bullet and get scammed and ripped off of my money. My partner and I both agree that it was not worth the hassle to go, but he really wants to take me to the restaurant across the street so we would go back to the plant guy and we would go back to the stall in the back but even those are BIG IFS as neither of us has any desire to ever go back to the Flower Mart. I feel like overall. The whole place is a money grab, you should save your money and go to your local farmers market or visit one of the many other vendors that were around the area without having to pay an admission fee to even buy flowers. Or better yet be bold like the elderly lady who accosted us as we were leaving and asked "are you all done in there can I have your sticker?" I was already too flustered to even recognize what she was asking till after my partner happily handed his over.
