I LOVE THIS STORE!! They have such unique, cute items! Everything from stickers, journals, hair accessories, jewelry, and so so many art supplies. They even have a sticker mystery bundle that was definitely worth it for $10. The pricing is fair for how unique the item is and its quality. They also include a free sticker with every purchase. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Parking is fairly easy with all the street parking available in the area.

I've been crushing on this cute little shop on instagram for quite some time so I had so much fun browsing and picking up a few items in person! I got two butterfly hair-clips. Not too much damage done but I already can't wait to come back. There's a parking lot located conveniently in the back. Such a charming store on this trendy street.

Such a BEAUTIFUL store omg!!! You can see clearly from the picture they have such a nice mixture of items that just about anyone will find something. Especially if you are or know any artists or creatives!! I spent so long in here and got so overwhelmed so I only bought a few things. I could've bought so much lol! So many accessories and art supplies with sprinkles of stuff for your home. It was well organized and the employees were kind. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!! It's right next to Shorthand as well if you like stationary!!

I love browsing through these artsy stores that carry unique items that you won't find at the big corporate stores. My daughter had to have these unique pens and I found a great deal on a 4x6 sketchbook plus a Speedball carving tool kit. They had a big collection of colored pencils but I had to refrain from buying more to my already overwhelmed collection.

4 stars It is the cutest little store ever! It's got stationary products, art supplies, colorful stickers, and personal accessories. I was swooning over the hairclips and jewelry because of how adorable they were. I believe the hairclips were made by a local artist...unfortunately, I forgot her name... I feel bad about that :( Hairclips came in different designs like lemon, eggplant, leek, chili pepper, dachsund, australian shepherd, poodle and many more. Yes, you heard me correctly, design comes in leek, chili pepper, and dogs LOL! I would have purchased one...but $17 is pricey for a hairclip... Definitely very unique and worth a visit if you're in the area. Street parking only.

Such a cute stop! Loved so much in here, kinda wish each sticker wasn't $3.50 but what can you do. Parking is super tricky so plan to spend some time looking for a spot! Overall I'll definitely be back because everything in the store was just so cute :)

Stumbled upon this gem while exploring Highland Park and it was our favorite stop of the day! Walking inside was like being transported into every artist's dream. Pieces by local artists are littered on the walls. Tables and walls are stacked with the cutest artsy fartsy knick knacks and supplies! Their card selection is by far the best one I ever did see.

Such a cute spot with tons of charm and incredible coffee to match! The staff was super sweet and there were a few nice seating options for working, but not very many. Georgia on my mind latte is my favorite.

Because I had stopped to get some tea in the area, I wanted to see what was down this street. I stopped at this store because I saw a cute little kitty keychain. And then I noticed how there was a lot of cute small items for sale. The lady was friendly and she said if I wanted anything, all I had to do was point at the display areas and she would get it for me. I noticed they also sold plants and asked her about one of them. It was out of my price range, but she very kindly answered any questions I had about it anyway. And she didn't pressure me to buy it. Overall, great experience and glad I stumbled upon this cute little store.

Coooooooool HLP stationery shop! Crush is tiny but mighty and packs a punch in the gift/card department for sure. It's located on a very happening area on York and I always make a point to stop in when I'm in the area these days. Their cards are more on the whimsy/colorful/fun side and their selection of giftable items (candles, shirts, prints, pins, plants, the like) always leaves me wanting to buy a little something for myself. The staff is really lovely as well and is happy to help you find what you need, make suggestions. etc. It appears that Crush designs/produces some of their own items in addition to bringing in cool brands. Prices are fair (cards are more than what you'd pay at the drugstore but less than what you'd pay at some other boutique-y LA shops). Parking in the area can be a hassle, but one you're here, the neighborhood is such a fun place to peruse on foot.

Card, nail polish, and sticker assortment!

Erin was incredibly easy to work with and super accommodating. The shop has a great open space in the back, which was perfect for the party. Erin assembled a beautiful selection of succulents, colored sand, shells, moss, and other unique accents, and led the girls through a fun and easy-to-follow tutorial on how to build their own terrariums. The vibe was very cool and creative. The girls had the best time making their gorgeous little creations, while the parents enjoyed browsing the shop's thoughtfully curated selection of goods. Erin and Sien were both wonderfully engaging and added so much to the experience. After the workshop, the girls walked over to Ice Cream Luv just a few doors down to wrap up the celebration with a sweet treat. It was the perfect afternoon at a perfect location for a memorable birthday party. This venue would also be ideal for Girl Scouts or other group gatherings--fun, educational, hands-on, well-priced, and in a warm, welcoming space. Thank you, Acorn Eagle Rock!

Currently Shorthand has 3 locations - Highland Park, Larchmont Village, and San Anselmo. This Highland Park location is the flagship location. [Parking]: There are plenty of metered parking spots and paid public parking lots, but parking can be hard to come by during busy shopping seasons. [Selection]: The shop offers greeting cards, pens, notebooks, pen, pencils, gift wraps, etc. I like the greeting card selection a lot better at Shorthand, but I didn't see too many Valentine's Day cards. The shop was a lot more colorful than Crush & Touch as Shorthand organized pens and pencils by color. They also sell really neat hand drawn Highland Park and Eagle Rock maps. The shop also sells various colors of ribbon per yard and gift wrap. Each color of ribbon has a slightly different price. I actually got a red tight weave ribbon for $1.75 per yard and the staff even gave me a slightly extra length. [Gift Wrap Service]: Customers can purchase gifts in store or bring them in from elsewhere. In general, regular (one sheet) = $8, large (two sheets) = $14, and extra large (three sheets+) = $20+. [Conclusion]: A really cute stationery shop with all the supplies for gift wrapping.

I have been shopping here for years, I always find the owner and the staff to be so pleasant and helpful. You can tell that the store is loved and that the buyer (who I think is the owner) is inspired. What I especially like about this store is that all of the clothing is super high quality and is often sourced from other small businesses who are committed to their craft. I have dresses that I purchased from Dotter years ago and I wear them constantly, but they still look like new. The prices are super reasonable especially for the quality and longevity of the items. I love to go here whenever I need to pick up a gift for a friend, I always find the perfect item. I am so happy that Dotter is open again, I've missed being inside of this special store!

I drive @45 minutes to get there and had actually selected a jacket for myself. I tried on the jacket and noticed that there was a $32 discrepancy between the coat on line versus in the store. I waited in the long line (holiday sale prompted throngs) and told (& showed her the jacket I had saved in my phone) the owner what happened. She asked me to wait to check. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.
