Such a cute shop! So many food themed items. You're bound to find something you like for yourself or for someone else. Staff was super friendly. I absolutely loved every item in this shop. Can't wait to go back!

This store is CUTE! It literally made me want to buy everything! Are you looking for a choncha key chain? they got it. Looking for socks with shrimps on them? they got it. Dont want shrimp but you want eggs or bacon? well they got those socks too. Does your friend like cocktails and pins??? well they have multiple options for you to choose from. They have some awesome punny and cute coin purses for all. Looking for a champagne saber?! well you guessed it.. they have it as well. Of course they also have some glassware for your kitchen, dish towels, cutting boards, candles (i saw some awesome lemon candles that look just like real lemons!), cheese knives and some aprons. They also have pet gifts! I totally regret not getting porky his own box of donut toys and that pizza toy! The whole store is one to check out. There is many things available that can be added to your home, your office and to be given out as gifts. The staff is also super friendly, welcoming and one to make me want to come back just to say hello. I did purchase a few things for a gift here and the fact that my gift was given to me in a cool bag.. its just the best! I'll be back for sure.

This is a cute little shop to peruse and find fun house items! I was told about this place by a Milkfarm employee, which are in walking distance of each other. You will want to purchase at least a few items, especially if you enjoy food-themed things. I got a sticker that says spinach artichoke dip in the shape of a heart, a bagel sandwich, and ranch bottle pins. The items are a bit pricey but worth the eclecticness!

Oh my goodness, where to start. Its a fun decently sized gifts and baubles kind of store. Its colorful and section themed. There's so much whimsy and personality in all the little gifts I can hardly describe it to justice. There were all kinds of fun food candles, accessories, kitchenware, jewelry, stickers, you name it. As for price it ranged of course, but most was reasonable and so special it would definitely be worth the little penny if it was a specific gift for a specific person. I love this store !

Such a cute little store with random odds and ends. The perfect place for a gift. Things are unique and pricey. Great place to get a birthday card.

    Sweet!

The shop has another location in Hudson, NY. [Parking]: Metered parking in Atwater Village, but luckily I found a metered parking spot across from the shop at 5 PM on Saturday. [Selection]: Very organized shop as pens are ordered by rainbow color. The shop sells a decent selection of Valentine's Day cards. The staff was friendly and even asked customers on what they were looking for. In addition to greeting cards and stationery, they also have candles, tote bags, etc. The shop also offers gift wrapping service and apparently they even sell red rose bouquets during Valentine week. [Gift wrapping service]: The service is only available at brick & mortar locations. Materials are purchased separately and holiday rush fees may be applied. The shop offers complimentary gift wrap on all in-store purchases (customer's choice of kraft box or kraft wrap with twine). During the busy holiday season, the staff may asks customers to drop off gifts and pick up at a later determined time. * Small (e.g. Small Book, Journal, Pen Box, Candle) = $8 * Medium (e.g. Shoe Box, iPad, Shirt Box) = $10 * Large (e.g. Oversized Books, Laptop, Coat) = $12 * Extra Large (oversized) (e.g. Oversized Kids Toys, Bedding Sets, Large Framed Art, TV) = $20+ [Conclusion]: The shop has a more diverse selection and is not limited to just Japanese style cute stationery. This is really a one-stop shop for anyone looking for a last minute gift.

I loooove a good small business that gift wraps!!…read more I had two friend birthdays to shop for and I found everything I needed plus more. I got some chocolate bars based on my friend's personalities and a candle in a scent named after a vacation place one of them wanted to travel to. They'll gift wrap for free with kraft paper and you even have the option to choose premium wrapping for a small additional fee. As someone that is awful at wrapping gifts, this perk was amazing for the price and I always opt-in if it's available. All my interactions from entering, to checking out, to picking up were phenomenal!! The shop attendants greeted me and my husband warmly upon entering and their hospitality also trickled into their text messages when they were keeping me up-to-date on my wrapping order. Do note that when they are backed up with gift wrapping, they might have you come back at a later time if there's a queue! This is an excellent problem because there are so many shops to duck in and out of nearby. I ended up running other errands outside of the area and coming back before closing on my way to my friends' parties. Getting a greeting card, several presents, a little 'treat yourself' gift to me, and gift wrapping all in one stop? Perfection.

Currently Shorthand has 3 locations - Highland Park, Larchmont Village, and San Anselmo. This Highland Park location is the flagship location. [Parking]: There are plenty of metered parking spots and paid public parking lots, but parking can be hard to come by during busy shopping seasons. [Selection]: The shop offers greeting cards, pens, notebooks, pen, pencils, gift wraps, etc. I like the greeting card selection a lot better at Shorthand, but I didn't see too many Valentine's Day cards. The shop was a lot more colorful than Crush & Touch as Shorthand organized pens and pencils by color. They also sell really neat hand drawn Highland Park and Eagle Rock maps. The shop also sells various colors of ribbon per yard and gift wrap. Each color of ribbon has a slightly different price. I actually got a red tight weave ribbon for $1.75 per yard and the staff even gave me a slightly extra length. [Gift Wrap Service]: Customers can purchase gifts in store or bring them in from elsewhere. In general, regular (one sheet) = $8, large (two sheets) = $14, and extra large (three sheets+) = $20+. [Conclusion]: A really cute stationery shop with all the supplies for gift wrapping.

Erin was incredibly easy to work with and super accommodating. The shop has a great open space in the back, which was perfect for the party. Erin assembled a beautiful selection of succulents, colored sand, shells, moss, and other unique accents, and led the girls through a fun and easy-to-follow tutorial on how to build their own terrariums. The vibe was very cool and creative. The girls had the best time making their gorgeous little creations, while the parents enjoyed browsing the shop's thoughtfully curated selection of goods. Erin and Sien were both wonderfully engaging and added so much to the experience. After the workshop, the girls walked over to Ice Cream Luv just a few doors down to wrap up the celebration with a sweet treat. It was the perfect afternoon at a perfect location for a memorable birthday party. This venue would also be ideal for Girl Scouts or other group gatherings--fun, educational, hands-on, well-priced, and in a warm, welcoming space. Thank you, Acorn Eagle Rock!

I have been shopping here for years, I always find the owner and the staff to be so pleasant and helpful. You can tell that the store is loved and that the buyer (who I think is the owner) is inspired. What I especially like about this store is that all of the clothing is super high quality and is often sourced from other small businesses who are committed to their craft. I have dresses that I purchased from Dotter years ago and I wear them constantly, but they still look like new. The prices are super reasonable especially for the quality and longevity of the items. I drive @45 minutes to get there and had actually selected a jacket for myself. I tried on the jacket and noticed that there was a $32 discrepancy between the coat on line versus in the store. I waited in the long line (holiday sale prompted throngs) and told (& showed her the jacket I had saved in my phone) the owner what happened. She asked me to wait to check. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.
